Super adorable and imaginatively creative!
❤️ this is the most delightful children‘s book.
This is a charming tale of an 11-year-old girl, her new friend, and the bookish adventures that they have at her grandparents‘ bookstore. The lines between fiction and reality are blurred in a very Jasper Fforde-ish way. I recommend it to young and old readers who believe in the magic of books! 💗
Just started listening to this VERY bookish middle grade novel. Tilly lives over a bookshop run by her grandparents. Suddenly her favourite characters are popping up in her world and then Tilly is going with them into books. There's also a growing mystery.
I'm enjoying it EXCEPT the narrator has given Anne Shirley the WORST accent. She sounds like a cowboy. Everytime she says Avonlea, I cringe. 🤪
I'm a sucker for bookish books. Give me a book about a bookshop or a library and I'm in. This reminded me so much of a middle grade version of The Eyre Affair and any comparison to Jasper Fforde is one of the highest compliments I can give. So many quotes from this will soon be gracing the chalkboard sign outside our shop.
It‘s pouring outside so I‘ve made myself a cuppa, grabbed a blanket and decided that it‘s the perfect time for a #reread of this fantabulous book. If you haven‘t read it yet, you should do so ASAP. I am so in love with the descriptions of the bookshop setting. If you have kids, make sure you give them this gem of a book. They will thank you forever. 😁 The second book is coming out in Sep which is another perfect reason to reread it now. ❤️❤️
Besides my own order there was a surprise mail.... @scripturient and I decided, that we make up our own little library thing and borrow each other books.
I asked her last week, if she would lent it to me next time. Today I received this gorgeous paperback edition with a note 'the book is awesome. You need to possess it.'
You are such a sweetheart @scripturient 😍😘🤩
Hi everyone! I feel in love with this book. It was so much fun reading about characters from classic
books that showed up in the real world. I definitely recommend this book. It's so different from anything I ever read before. Please read it. Especially if you like Alice from wonderland or Anne of GreenGables. #paperwhite #library #bookgeek #booklover #bookholic #bookhaul #bookhoarder #books #bookinstagram
Perusing through my local bookstore, I couldn‘t resist picking up this delightful looking middle grade book 😍😍 anyone else still love reading children‘s books?
Ohmygoodness! This is adorable! Tilly is so freaking adventurous and curious and determined and I love it! I wish I got to be a librarian for a hidden secret library! The magic of this was really well explained and made the whole premise really fun. I loved meeting Alice from Wonderland, Anne of Green Gables and Sherlock Holmes. The ending actually took me by surprise so I hope there will be a sequel
I haven't been on here for ages! And I have missed it.
Since I have been gone, I have started a book blog, if you are interested in reading a review go to
Thanks guys!! It's good to be back!! 😀😀😀😍😍😍
Absolutely LOVED it! The idea was reminiscent of The Book Jumper but the story was so much better executed. I wish this had been published when I was a kid. I‘m sure I would have devoured it over and over. A perfect book for book lovers young and old(er). ❤️
While I‘m living vicariously through all of your awesome #fallingforfallswap posts (I‘m still waiting for my package), it really has become positively autumnal outside. It‘s cool, sunny and blustery, the leaves are flying around and I LOVE it! 😍 And I‘ve started the tagged book. It was already beautiful with its sleeve on but look at how pretty it is underneath. I‘m totally in love! Happy beginning of fall, everyone!! 🍂 🍁 🎃 ❤️
