#MOvember #catchup
When I think of #Iconic I think of Katharine Hepburn. Her talent, her voice, her style, her romances, her (very fudgy) brownie recipe—really her entire life is the very definition of iconic. This book is a favorite of mine.❤️

#HumpDayPost

1. Others have posted but Katharine Hepburn is my all-time favorite. In 1981, I was in NYC with my high school drama group & our hotel was across from her play, The West Side Waltz. Several nights we watched for her to come out & she was always in her iconic hat & scarf.💙Her brownies are good too! 😋

1) Katharine Hepburn. I mean, look at her! Wearing pants when it was not really a thing for women.
2) Usually 10:00/ 10:30 (I like sleep!)
3) Fiction (When Katie Met Cassidy) 4) The Fridge! 5) Library is closer but I visit the bookstore most

2. 10ish
3. middle grade, fiction (Raymie Nightingale by Kate DiCamillo)

5. Library is slightly closer, but I go more often to the used bookstore

Weaponxgirl I love her too! Just pure class and sass combined. 2y
wanderinglynn @Weaponxgirl Right?!? I love all her movies. Her spunk & independence always showed, even in her later movies, like On Golden Pond. 2y

janeycanuck We did Iceland last September. It was amazing, have an awesome time!! 2y
Avidreader25 @janeycanuck That's amazing! Let me know if you have any tips (esp about that time of year)! 2y
janeycanuck We didn't find it overly cold (though, I'm Canadian so...) but the wind that was biting so a good windbreaker and something for your ears is a must. Our favs were Jökulsárlón (the glacier lagoon), Gljúfrabúi (a two minute walk from Seljalandsfoss), and Selfoss (you can get super close to it, if you are brave!) I blogged about our trip at http://janeycanuck.com/blog?tag=Iceland+2016, if you want to read more about what we did. 2y

janeycanuck Also, if you are doing the ring road - always fill up on gas when you see it and have snacks in the car. We went hours without seeing anywhere to stop and only had what was in the car for lunch on more than one occasion. Also, I found the carrots there particularly delicious. And keep your camera battery charged - it's a stunningly beautiful country, we were constantly pulling over to take photos. It has been one of my favourite trips! 2y
Avidreader25 @janeycanuck thank you so much for the tips! I'm off to read your blog posts now. We are doing the entire ring road, so your advice is so helpful! 2y
janeycanuck @Avidreader25 oh, my pleasure! I could talk about Iceland for hours, I'm so jealous you've still got it ahead of you. 2y

My favorite memoir of all time. Katharine Hepburn was amazing. #memoirlove #17booklove

kspenmoll I was lucky to work at an ice cream stand at a dairy farm, Neilson's Dairy, which was just take out homemade ice cream. K. Hepburn would stop in quietly for ice cream, no fanfare,- we all loved her! It was in a town just outside Hartford, one of her homes'. A thrill! 3y
Suzze @kspenmoll Oh, I am so jealous. What a fabulous memory. 3y

Betty I saw her in Coco (musical) when I lived in Maryland. The stage was the best ever, it rotated to show day and night--working on clothes 3y
Suzze @Betty You lived in Maryland? I'm jealous of you too. (For seeing Hepburn, not living in Maryland). 😜 3y
