It‘s as if Gaiman and Pratchett wrote the characters specifically for Tennant and Sheen.

When in doubt: read a Neil Gaiman book.

I don't think I've ever even thought this, but the TV series were better. There were way too many characters, who did of said funny things that envolved the plot, but had no substance. It was however easy to follow, and I moderatly enjoyed the time, but I expected more. Maybe if I read it before I saw the series it would have been better, but we'll never know.

I have several books that I own more than one copy. But I think Good Omens is the most with 5 physical copies and 2 audiobooks (one full cast version & the original version read by Martin Jarvis). Plus, I have the DVDs of Good Omens season 1 along with the Script Book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wanted to read this for years but was always put off by the length. The other day I was browsing Google Books' sale section and came across the full cast audiobook for just $5.99, and I knew I had to get it. It was the longest audiobook I've listened to, but I LOVED it and couldn't stop listening! I finished it before going in to work on Thursday, and I started it all over again on my way home that night! It's so much fun!

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, probably because I watched the show first. It did have some funny moments though, and I found myself laughing out loud. I might give it another shot someday.

As I mentioned in previous post. I was inspired by a random booktuber that YT recommended based on my watch history. First prompt from Benghis Kahn‘s video is Standalone. Tagged book gets the win on this.
I had to buy a second book to replace the Good Omens I lost on a road trip years ago. Original GO I hope you found a good home in South Dakota.

I have never read Pratchett and have only read a couple of Gaiman's books, but I've always wanted to read 'Good Omens.' Now, I have to because I've already watched the first season of the series on Prime, and I don't want to watch the second season without reading it first.

Getting back into reading after two busy years of school…need to start it off with a favorite!

Good Omens became a comfort show for me. I found that when everything felt wrong, watching the show made it all feel better.
So finally reading the book was fun for me, I really enjoyed it. I bounced back and forth between the physical copy I received from @TheDaysGoBy (thank you again❤️), and the audiobook while I was at work.

It's a very fun read, 10/10

The writing duo of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is nothing short of a literary dream team. Aziraphale and Crowley are Heaven and Hell's version of the Odd Couple, but for me, Adam is the heart of this novel. As the Antichrist who was misplaced at birth, he shows that free will is what makes us all human, the good parts and the bad bits.

A friend lent this to me ages ago and I finally just read it- what an absolute joy! This was like everything I loved about the show Lucifer: witty banter, satire, lovable characters, gray area between good and evil, Biblical commentary, surprisingly heartwarming.. and I love that it was a collaboration btwn these two incredible authors!

I watched the show & HAD to listen to Michael Sheen and David Tennant read their roles in the audiobook. It was ALMOST as good as the show. It has “been written:” the time for Armageddon is here, but neither the angel nor the demon are quite ready for earth to be gone. So they do all in their power to keep it from happening. Their interaction & the story is hilarious. Amazingly complex & entertaining! #teamslaughter #scarathlon #littenlisten etc

Bonus post for 'O'! I really wanted to also to highlight Good Omens! Even thought it doesn't START with an O, it does have three of them in the title so I'm totally counting it! 🤣😂

5⭐ I've read this book several times (and misplaced many copies, like the forward discusses 😆), and I didn't think it was possible to love it more. I was wrong. The full cast audio version of this is amazing. I found myself laughing without caring who heard and noticing more nuances in the dialogue than ever before. I highly recommend this version!

I donned my bright orange blanket-hoodie and sat on the balcony this morning. It was 2°C outside, but the sun was shining. I read some recipe magazines and stayed until the tea was gone and my feet felt frozen.

Listened to this audiobook as the Full Cast recording. ( ❤️ Tennant) it was difficult for me as an audiobook because the plot isn‘t linear, there‘s a lot of different POVs that collide somewhat at the end. It‘s interesting, it‘s hilarious, great characters. But I did sort of lose track of where we were and what we were doing between listens. Pop it on: something about Aliens, something about sex toys, the Four Bikers of the apocalypse.

This book was witty, but a bit long & tedious as well. I‘m glad I listened to the audio version or I might have jumped ship. Still, I‘m glad I listened to it all.

Getting back to this today. I wasn‘t able to listen on my commute this week bc my car doesn‘t have Bluetooth and my charging port is messed up on my phone so when I had it on AUX it kept repeating the part about the Bible that had a typo, omitting “not” to say “Thou Shall Commit Adultery” 5 times before I gave up 🥲🤣
