Finally finished my reread of this series! I've been listening to one each month over the past year.
This conclusion has always been bittersweet. So many questions are left unanswered, yet it's lovely seeing the growth of these siblings and their determination to face an unfair world.

A while back I kind of joked about figuring out a way to try my own horseradish apple. Well I finally did it and it was surprisingly good. Sorry the pic isn‘t very sexy 😆 I just squeezed a lemon over some I apples and stirred in some fresh horseradish and let it sit for a minute. If you are a bit of a wuss or don‘t like the texture of horseradish you can wipe it off and still taste it on the apples. 😋🍎 #foodspiration

Overall it is a good series packed with adventure. Both story line & writing style of author is awesome. it is about unfortunate events, sad & depressing meanwhile it is uplifting as well. 12th book is way better than the last one.Ending could‘ve been more interesting. Author explains idioms & phrases whenever it is used. So this series expanded my vocabulary as well 😂 4⭐️/5 #seriesread2022 Should pick my next series. Any recommendations?
And the Series of Unfortunate Events Readathon is finally complete! #joyousjanuary #jumpstart2022
Finally on the last book of the series. Goal almost complete
Honestly, a little disappointing as an end because of some unresolved questions but where the Beaudelaires ended up was somewhat satisfying.
Unfortunately, Daniel Handler did not turn back into a decent human in the time it took me to reread the series.
Was the series that really got me into reading as a kid
No, not all questions are answered. I understand the author wanted to make a point that the end of the book is not the end of the story but I also understand why so many people felt frustrated. I personally liked the Netflix adaptation better because I felt all of the changes to the story only favored its progression.
All in all I liked the series. Kind of dark for a kids series but I liked it. No one knows what their story is gonna be or where it takes them in life.
I didn‘t quite make my goal, but I‘m happy with the amount of reading I did this year. Considering all the changes, ups and downs, and pressures put on me this year I‘m dang proud of how I‘ve pulled through- and not just in my reading. Also, I‘m clearly not as good at keeping up with what I‘ve read on this platform.
Book 94 of the year, finished Nov 11, audio
Im glad this is over. The series concluded without answering any questions. It left me frustrated and wishing I hadn't started reading it and/or that I had followed Snicket's constant advice to read something else.
Will not read again.
“‘Man hands on misery to man, it deepens, like a coastal shelf...‘” people don‘t realize how strong of language is used in the actual poem once they hear it in ASOUE
Sorting through donated books. Thought you all would love this label.
“If we wait until we‘re ready we‘ll be waiting the rest of our lives.”=me taking math finals😂love the Netflix show and the books sm!
We‘re trying to collect all 13 books in this series. So far, we‘re short of 4 books to complete it.

I'm not sure what I was really hoping for in the last book of this series but I just didn't feel like this book accomplished it. I'm left feeling empty and confused.
Love this series (and the Netflix adaptation actually answers most of your lingering questions!) Count Olaf feels like a particularly relevant villain in his ability to manipulate those around him with obvious lies and flimsy cover ups. #middlegrade
Nola seems to find The End cozier than the last - 4/10
I‘m liking the change up in this book, too.
just finished binging the LAST SEASON OF SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS ON NETFLIX!!! WIG SNATCHED. but what do y'all think of the ending? Do you prefer the hopeful Netflix or the bleak original, and why?
Did I just binge watch the 3rd and final season of A series of Unfortunate Events in 1 1/2 days? Yes, yes I did, and it was worth it. 💙Going to reread this series - last time I read it was when I was twelve and the details of the last couple books are a bit fuzzy.
This last book I think might be my favorite in the series, although I don‘t know yet how I feel about the ending.
After reading the whole series, I feel very well prepared for the verbal section of the GRE. 👍👍👍
Chapter 13 of book 13 of a series I‘ve been reading for over 13 years? The end of The End?? 😮😱💀☠️
We are home from our short visit to NYC now and happy the kitties are still alive and well after their first time home alone. The furniture has been rearranged, but the Christmas tree is miraculously still standing and there are no loose tarantulas or gold teeth or remnants of booby traps. We are both very tired and incapable of doing anything other than read! 👍

Waiting for a train to NYC whilst freezing my ass off! (We‘re going to the Harry Potter history exhibit!)
I wasn‘t planning to make this my next read, but I know my husband is going to be anxious to watch season 3 on Netflix next week (!!!) so I need to bump this up and get moving!!
Good conclusion. Wraps up a long saga in a satisfactory way. However, there are several aspects to the story that are left unresolved. Don't want to say more w/o giving away spoilers.
What's the last book you felt this way about? Mine is in the comments.👇
Oh, it's more than "likely." It's absolutely going to happen. Without question.
My nephew, reading!
What an appropriate book to finish out my 2018 reading goal challenge. Apparently I should have set it a bit higher, but I don‘t read as much in summer so it‘ll slow down for a bit now until it gets cold here again. I can‘t wait to share this series with our future kiddos.
Loved as a child, loved even more, 13 years later as an adult.
#MarchIntoOz Day 13: Count Olaf does inspire the dismayed #OhNoNotYouAgain exclamation. He is like a bad penny that turns up everywhere, all the time!! One of my favourite series of all time.
My goal was 52 (or at least one a week) so I‘m okay with this even though it‘s significantly lower than previous years. I set pretty lax goals so that I don‘t stress myself out. 😅
