It would be so bizarre to wake up & not remember the last ten years. So many things happen in that amount of time, and so many things don‘t change. I‘m not sure about the ending, but it was a good read.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Misty, for the wonderful book and lovely goodies. I opened them today (obviously!). I can't wait to dive into this book; I love Liane Moriarty! I'll drink some King Cole tea, too! @TheLudicReader would be happy about that!
Thanks for your friendship and for #LitsyLove. You are one in a gazillion. Merry Christmas! 💙❄️💙
Book 99 of 2023! 🥳 Another Moriarty hit for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Time to give my Kindle a rest and read something from my physical TBR…
I‘ve read quite a few of Moriarty‘s novels and I think this might be my fave thus far. Fun, yet serious undertones too. Good book for discussion.

Oh, my granddaughter's Pez dispenser! All kinds of things show up on my bookshelves 😂
Definite pick for me! As I told my husband about the story as it progressed, it led to some good conversations between us about marriage, forgiveness, and living our lives today in a way that will put us where we want to be in the future. I‘ll probably check out more of Moriarty‘s work in future! #2023
About halfway through and really enjoying this one! It‘s not one I would have picked up on my own, but it was chosen for a work book club, and I‘m glad to give it a go. It makes me think about what would surprise me about my life if I woke up without 10 years of memories. And what about 10 years from now? Definitely thought-provoking #2023
3✨ I was really into this book for the mystery of what happened. Alice lost her memory when she hit her head at the gym. She cannot remember 10years of her life! In that time a lot changed especially her relationships with others. I liked the old Alice verses who she became, but as the mystery unfolded I can see why she turned up that way. I enjoyed the ending. #roll100 @PuddleJumper Also my#BookSpin @TheAromaofBooks
Alice doesn't remember that she's going through a divorce. Last she knew she was crazy about her husband; oh, and 10 years younger.
This was the Liane Moriarty book that got me hooked on her writing.

I shoulda spent my lunch break cleaning my terribly cluttered office, but I finished this instead for tomorrow‘s FOTL meeting. I really liked this book! I can see how it may not be for everyone but as a woman soon to turn 50 I really appreciated it. The idea that life can weather away the enchanting things about us as we get caught up in all we need to do day over day is something I‘ve been thinking about a lot. First Moriarty I‘ve read. 👍🏻
November #BookSpinBingo did not work for me...
I read all the books except the ones on my BINGO Board 🤷🏼♀️
At least I did read my #BookSpin (What Alice Forgot)
But my #DoubleSpin I DNF (The Favourite Sister) I just couldn't get into it.
@TheAromaofBooks
My current read. It‘s just occurred to me that I‘m 100 pages in and practically nothing has actually happened, and that‘s fine cuz I‘m enjoying it.
November #BookSpinBingo board!

Okay, BRB, going to drink my tea.

This story had me reflecting on how I, and my life, have changed in the last 10 years.
I finished #booked2021!! This is my 3rd year completing the challenge and I am already planning out next year's! Thanks @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage and @Cinfhen for hosting it each year!

This was such a good book. Imagine waking up and find you have lost 10 years of memories. 🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧
This is my favorite of Liane Moriarty‘s books. Alice has forgotten 10 years of her life, and has to figure out why everything about the life she remembers seems to have fallen apart.

Some recent Goodwill finds. Has anyone read any of these?

Third Bingo!
So close to a 4th, but just not going to finish The Vanishing Half tonight.
Thanks @TheAromaofBooks #bookspinbingo #trb getting those books off that list!
I am not sure what I thought this book was going to be but I have been avoiding it. Probably because it revolves around motherhood which normally bores & turns me off. This though was absorbing. I felt for Alice and found her struggle to piece her life together interesting & engrossing. I love that all characters were vividly drawn, & I had so much sadness for Elizabeth, her story was very well done also.
Not sure I love the ending though.
Ah.
Yes, lets just go to France.
1. What Alice Forgot, and The Vanishing Half
2. Gay Bar by Jeremy Lin
3. The Secret Lives of Church Ladies

This was fine. Entertaining enough. Just not really my thing.

Mixing the old with the new. Two if these. Looks have been on my bookcase for at least 4 years.
I dont remember the last book that made me laugh out loud. This book was quite the tonic.
Refreshingly our protagonist is 39 year old Alice and she was so damn relatable for me. I dont think I would have appreciated quite how good this book is if I was reading it in my twenties. Alice has an accident at a spin class and wakes up age 29, 10 years of memories gone.
A brilliant reading experience had, 5 stars.

What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
Surprisingly thoughtful book about self-reflection. ❤️
Random kitten picture because it‘s #caturday, & the kittens are cute. Book isn‘t deep, but was fun, and I‘m sure it will spark lots of discussion at book club. Predictable ending, but that‘s what you expect from this type of novel. Not my favorite Moriarty, but not the worst. Solidly in the middle.
I started this today for book club that is 2 weeks off. Way too early, but I don‘t want to be in the middle of something long because #pemberlittens Northanger Abbey And #catherbuddyread Sapphira and the Slave Girl are set to start soon.
Got to start my morning off by finishing this book on my ride to work this morning. As a whole, I enjoyed the storyline of a woman who wakes up on a gym floor, having lost her memories, and her journey through reconciling who she thinks she should be and they way her adult self is.
I really need to read this book! I keep using it for prompts. 😅#Forgetaboutit. #FallFinds
She bumped her head
Then went to bed
And couldn‘t remember anything in the morning
Poor, confused Alice
I wanted an engrossing, good, fast read, so I picked up a Liane Moriarty and it didn‘t disappoint! This one was thought provoking and deep in ways I wasn‘t expecting. Some of it was a bit of a stretch from reality, but regardless I liked the characters and wanted to know what would happen to them. 4⭐️
After an accident at the gym, Alice wakes up not remembering the last ten years of her life. All of a sudden she has three children and is divorcing the love of her life.
A good fun read that had me dreaming about the story.
#tropesinaugust #memoryloss
I‘ve used this book/photo for a themed prompt before but haven‘t actually gotten around to reading it yet! I have high hopes, however. My experience with other Moriarty titles has been mixed.
#Litsybitsy
#1 narrator with a different accent. I could listen to the Australian accent All. Day. Long. !!

How can ten years of your life just disappear?
Alice is twenty-nine.
She adores sleep, chocolate, and her ramshackle new house.
She's newly engaged to the wonderful Nick, and is pregnant with her first baby. But there's just one problem.
That was ten years ago . . .#unforgettable #boundtogetherjune

Enjoy!
I'm always in the midst of several books, never quite content with sticking with one at a time. I'm 1/2 way through with 'The Ten Thousand Doors of January' and really should finish that one..but 'What Alice Forgot' is way too gripping and interesting to set down.
To wake up after hitting your head and believe it's 1998 not 2008. To believe you're 29, not 39. To have no memory of kids or anything that happened in the last 10 years...😳
Definitely a page turner, but a bit predictable. However, the quote that I posted late last night/early this morning is one of the best descriptions of a long-time marriage that I've ever heard.
This is the first Moriarty I've read... What's your favorite?
