Hello my lovely Littens! After the complete success of #Scarathlon, I knew I‘d have to get something in the works for a Christmas/Winter themed event. Unfortunately, @TheReadingMermaid will not be able to cohost this event with me, so before I fully plan #WinterGames, I thought I would like to see how many people are interested in participating, and if needed would anyone be willing to be a team captain.

Clwojick As with the Halloween event, there will be a point value for different things. Reading books, watching movies or shows, and playing a ton of games! Since Xmas is all about spending time with family, there will be a few additional mini challenges up for points, as well. Please comment if you‘d be interested in participating. Scochrane26 Would I have to read Christmas-related books? I‘m very bah-humbug about Christmas, but the games, recipes, maybe a few movies sound fun. 5y

Clwojick @Scochrane26 You don‘t have to do anything you don‘t want to, Love. There will be a point value for Xmas books and movies, but there will also be a point value for all other genres. We won‘t be separating specific genres like we did with mystery/horror for Halloween. 5y

Clwojick @Scochrane26 I‘m still rolling around some ideas, but I was thinking of having a higher point value for books that are on your #TBR vs impulse reads. I think that would be an added incentive to tackle those #MountTBRs before the end of the year. 5y

Clwojick @Liatrek I don‘t have a swap planned, but if that‘s something that a lot of people are into we can consider it. I know Xmas is expensive for so many people, that maybe something like Swapping Xmas cards would be more affordable ♥️ 5y

Clwojick @StayCurious Oh thank you thank you! I‘m hoping to break it down into smaller teams to make it a bit easier on the team captains for point tracking. I was easily spending an hour or two a day tracking all the TeamSlaughter points 😂 I know that‘s a lot to ask out of someone, especially around the holidays, so smaller teams should make things easier 5y

Laughterhp I‘d be interested. I‘ll probably be busy in December so may not to participate as much as I did in October. I‘ve already started making lists of Xmas books I want to read! 5y

StayCurious @Clwojick anything you need, let me know. I can help find x-mas games and come up with challenges so that it doesn't all fall on you. I know you and Tamara had several months to plan Scarathlon - and December is fast approaching. 5y

bibliobard I love the idea! Not sure I could help sponsor a team but if they were smaller teams I could possibly do it. Would want to hear more about theme/points and what it would look like. 5y

Clwojick @StayCurious oh I have LOADS of games. I have about 75 saved on my phone lolol 😅 Considering coming up with a photochallenge, though I‘m not sure yet. What do you think? 5y

StayCurious @Clwojick photo challenges are fun - just like the Halloween costumes, we could do Ugly Christmas Sweaters, or decorated trees or houses. 5y

Clwojick @ElizaMarie That‘s the good thing with these events. There will be lots of games to play whenever you can participate, but it‘s not necessary to do them all. All in all, it‘s just about having fun and getting into the Xmas spirits alongside your Litsy fam! ♥️ 5y

LibrarianRyan I could be persuaded to be a captain. I have a lot of time off in December. I will have a few days in No-Man's land (my parents house on the nature preserve.) right around Christmas but I can play catch up. I get some cell service, but not much and not fast. But pops will bring the hot spot home and that will help. 5y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Thanks for the invite, but I‘m going to set the next one out. I have a few other reading challenges for the year I want to concentrate on and I don‘t think any fit into any Christmas theme. Maybe I‘ll catch you another time. Have lots of fun though!! 5y

Clwojick @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I just posted the signup form which has the point breakdown. The reading may still fit into your plans, as the points are for impulse vs TBR, as opposed to set genres. Xmas books are obviously still on there though 😉 5y

alisiakae Depends on how Christmasy it is. I don‘t read many Xmas books and don‘t celebrate the holiday, but if it is multiple holiday inclusive (Chanukah, Yule etc), then maybe. Unless I can be the Grinch or Scrooge. 😂😂😂 5y
