Started this trilogy, I hope it lives up to all the hype! 😁
Beautiful and dark. I'm not one for insta-love but this wasn't that once I read deeper thankfully!
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
1. I want to go to Prague SO BADLY and it‘s all this book‘s fault!
2. Cloudy and rainy, my favorite
3. We went out to eat before a movie and he left his wallet on top of his car. He was double pissed over the fact that I brought money AND for the audacity of paying for tickets. 🙄😒
4. I have one cat I chose (Hansel Apple Shadeslayer) and one that chose me (Lee) and two that are kinda just there (Gretel, Carlos). Sarge is our dog.

This book was beautiful and the ending gut wrenching and left me mentally drifting around in the world the author created long after i had finished. i have fallen in absolute love with the characters and worlds and myths. i absolutely loved this book and i‘m eager to continue the story
This book is enthralling. I absolutely love a fantastical story and this one brings your imagination to life. It awakens a childlike wonder and stirs a comradery in you like no other. Go Zel go! I cant wait to see how it ends. And I really hope they do it justice in the movie.
“ I met an angel in Morocco and all I got were these lousy scars” - Z
i love Zuzana lol
This was posted 2 years ago, shortly after I first joined Litsy. At this time, I‘ve only read 8 of them. Many were bought for my classroom library. My acquisition greatly outpaces my consumption!! 😢 #bookhaulchallenge
No witches lurked at crossroads disguised as crones, waiting to reward travelers who shared their bread. genies didn‘t burst from lamps, and talking fish didn‘t bargain for their lives. In all the world, there was only one place humans could get wishes. Brimstone‘s shop. And there was only one currency he accepted. it wasn‘t gold or riddles, or kindness, or any other fairytale nonsense, and no, it wasn‘t souls either.
It was teeth 🦷
man this book is great so far, i can already tell i‘ll be staying up all night reading this one. does anyone else look up fan art when reading fantasy books? i love it 🖤🦴 the talent 😭
i got this book today because i was watching a book review on YT and the person who does the reviews mentioned it was written beautifully and one of the best series she‘s ever read SO i got the first in the series, Daughter of Smoke and Bone 🦴 i might start this one before the other series i was planning to start 🤔 *addicted to books problems*
Today‘s #colormepretty is #analogus!
DOSAB has remained one of my favorite series over the years.
American Gods was AMAZING and I can‘t wait to read the sequel.
These Broken Stars was interesting and then it got weird, which is fine, but it‘s not my favorite.
The Selection is a very good series that tapers off at the end, but is a good light read.
Of course I love HP, but with the author going wild, it‘s no longer one of my favorite series.
1. Moody obsessive escapist. 📚
2. On beautiful days like today, I love reading in the backyard. I‘ve got the puppy pool out for the dogs, and I‘m enjoying the shade of the patio umbrella. ☀️
3. My younger cousin and BFF, Becky, remains me a bit of Zuzana from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. Because she‘s little but feisty and fierce. ❤️
4. Open tag to anyone who wants to play along. 😊
I heard a lot of good reviews on this book so I decided to check it out. However, it just wasn't for me. The book starts off pretty interesting but once she meets Akiva, that's when I started to lose interest.
Written very unconventionally... I loved it! The almost skewed storytelling of the book created mystery that led to an awesome plot-twist ending. I picked up this book a long time ago, just putting it off because I though I'd hate it (don't know why), but against all odds this book became a pick for me. I would definitely recommend Smoke and Bone, it pulled on my heartstrings more than once and I think it tells a very special and unique story.
After finishing the Strange the Dreamer books, I noticed people kept connecting them to this book. Out of curiosity, and lack of want to leave the world of Strange the dreamer, I decided to read this.
I'm glad I read this book after, because its destroying my ideal of the Seraphim. I feel like this book continued from strange the dreamer and started with " Meanwhile on another plane.."
I‘ve got a strong urge to binge this series but my library books say other wise.... soooooooo good.
⭐⭐⭐ I found this story to be told in a disjointed manner. It's okay, but it didn't make me want to continue with the series. The book makes you feel like you already know everything that is going to happen. Parts of it were really good. I liked the descriptions of the chimera, but parts were too melodramatic for me.
Day 6 #LiteraryLuck #uniquecharacternames
Daughter of Smoke & Bones is filled with unique names. I loved that not one name in the whole series was normal....I think. 😀 (It's been awhile since I read them)
I like the reviews and the fans of this book but I don't think I'm ready to jump into this. But will give it a try sooner or later.
Well, this was a convoluted mess. I might have felt differently if I was part of the target audience, but I'm not, and I have neither time nor inclination for the 17-year-old Chosen One reincarnated angel heroine and her nascent efforts to develop a personality.
Last read 2018: Strange the Dreamer. Over a month of bored, skimming text just to finish
First read 2019: Broke my "no paper books in bed" rule and stayed up way too late on a work night because I HAD to finish.
Same author, two very different reads. I think this year is looking up already!
Thanks @erickaa for the awsome #sss book!
@InBooksILive if the rest of your list is as good as this, we might be #booktwins ❤
Had a pretty late night ringing in the New Year with homemade Chinese, good friends and a little too much wine. Storming out today but I've got my coffee, fluffy blanket and my first book of 2019 ready to go. Last day of vacation so this is where I plan to stay all day 👍
#newyearwhodis @InBooksILive @monalyisha
I did a library run this afternoon before they close down for 2 days. I'm all set to start my #NewYearWhoDis reading in the new year (on the right), and I picked up a little something to tide me over the next couple of days (tagged book). Really excited to get started!
4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I‘ve had this book on my shelves for a while now and I was reluctant to pick it up because of all the hype but I ended up enjoying the book it took about 150 pages to get into and that‘s why I rated it 4 stars stick with the book it does get better . #readingrivalry #rrpawsitivelypurrfect #ilovereadingbooks #read
