None of the characters really had a distinctive voice It sounds like Agnes is narrating most of the time, and I had go back a few pages when I realize it‘s Stephanie or Mai.I don‘t even remember what they look like until Victor showed up and they had to point out that he was “Black and from New York.”

I‘ve read 3 books back to back where I‘ve hated the main character so much I wanted to DNF the whole book. The storylines had so much potential but I didn‘t care, I don‘t want to listen to this person talk any more. I‘m scared for the next one🤷🏾‍♀️

Is sitting in your car outside your apartment for 40minutes the audiobook equivalent to “I couldn‘t put it down”?

Got back into reading this year. This is the most I‘ve read in 3yrs. Set a goal for 2 books a month and been to keep it up pretty well thanks to audiobooks and being able to get to Kindle Cloud on work computers. Got a long travel day,flying cross country, so hopefully I can knock out the last two 🤞🏾

I was very underwhelmed by this one. It had a lot of potential to be a really good story but there was no time I was really interested/concerned about the couple. I loved Avery‘s story and her practice methods but we didn‘t really get to see most of them play out because everything came out pretty quickly and easily. None of the twist or events were really attention grabbing the end and even that worked itself out pretty quickly.

I was hoping this would be my gateway into to liking Romance novels. Started out great, loved Nik and Carlos‘ characters, but the story couldn‘t keep my attention long enough to want to finish. A little to hallmark and predictable for me. I‘ll definitely give it another shot later.
