500+ pages and just when you feel like maybe, just maybe, the pacing is going to pick up- bam. The book is over and you are expected to pick up the next doorstopper. No thanks.

Love Robin Hobb books, but yet to get to the Dragon #Wild Chronicles.
@Clwojick
@Branwen I asked Mum to send me a picture of Pickles looking "impressed" and this is what she sent me..... ????????
#pickleschallenge
This post is for @Branwen who has completed her Pickles challenge by finishing the Rain Wilds Chronicles!!!
We are still awaiting Pickles' reaction, but in the meantime Pebble would like to say Well Done! 👏👏👏
#pickleschallenge 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Got this absolute bargain collection of Robin Hobb books!!! I am in love!! Where on earth do I start?! Lol so so happy I've wanted her books for sooooo long. Who here likes Robin Hobb? What's your favourite? PS I have no clue what order they go in 😅 #robinhobb #bookcollection #bargain #bookhaul #fantasy #adventure #magic #mythical #dragons #animals
"The thought burned in her like molten iron and suddenly hardened into cold resolve. She was not going to be 'allowed' to do anything. Never again would she submit to being 'allowed' or 'not allowed'. She would follow her resolve if it killed her. For being killed by it would certainly be better than going home and dying of not being allowed to follow her dream."
OKAY I AM OFFICIALLY HOOKED ON THIS SERIES! I NEED TO START BOOK TWO ASAP! ???
I had to splurge today and pick up a fun Friday lunch! Chicken schwarma and garlic parmesan fries! It's even better paired with this dragon-y book I'm reading! 😋📚💕
Rae's recent outpouring of love for Robin Hobb has really inspired me to jump back into her works! It's been a long while since I've read any of her books, so I'm really excited to get back into it! I'm starting with The Rainwilds Chronicles because, well, DRAGONS! 🐉💕📚 After that I'll retrace my steps and read The Farseer trilogy!
@RaeLovesToRead
Pure magic! I was hesitant to start this series as I didn‘t want to take a break from Fitz and his story, but this was so good!
I got so invested in the story and the characters.
Most are new characters and some we get to see again from the Liveship Traders books, which was fun.
The new characters are just as amazing, interesting, despicable and wonderful as what we have already experienced from Robin Hobb. I can‘t wait to start the next one!
Happy Happy Friday to all you lovely littens! Hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with great books! 💕📚 #dragonsoflitsy
Slow start, but if you persist and get invested it‘s an interesting premise! Will read the sequel soon.
#audiobookhaul
I got the tagged, Pratchett, & Feynman from audible‘s $5 sale, and used a credit for the Correia book.
Thanks @Twainy for bringing the sale to my attention 😀

Some fantasy dragons 🐉
@Klou
Finished and moving to the next 📖😋
Starting this because I finally got the first book in the series 📖😋
If you have difficulty reading about a young person being seduced by a predator, a woman choosing married to try to escape poverty and isolation in a traditional patriarchal society, and dragons (and humans) who are not born “healthy” or “viable” dealing with being abandoned/killed/shunned, do not read this book. If you can deal with a heart wrenching story full of self delusion and struggle towards self realization/hope, read this book.
For being partially narrated by a dragon this was seriously lacking in dragons.
The characters were descently fleshed out but I didn't connect with any of them. I found the writing quite repetitive, lots of over explaining.
The world building was done well but I don't think I'll continue with the series.
This should have a Trigger Warning for sexual asult.
4/10 💫
Reading a Robin Hobb novel feels a bit like coming home ❤️ This was a good introduction to new characters and new plot lines, but it did feel a bit just like that - an introduction. Also, the writing felt a bit more repetitive than I remember from Hobb‘s other novels. However, it had me gripped from the first page, and I loved getting to know more about the dragons and the Rain Wild people. And I‘m feeling some strong female MCs in the making! 💪
Being newly graduated and unemployed does have some perks - like getting to read most of the day away and having time go make my breakfast look extra pretty 👌
#bookandbreakfast
Balcony reading might be my favourite thing at the moment. At least until I start sweating too much to read 😅
#currentlyreading
#IGottaFeeling that once I start this series I won‘t be able to stop again. Which is why I‘m so happy I‘m home alone from Thursday until Sunday. I can feel a Hobb-readathon coming on! 👏
#HeatinJuly
#BookMail! I‘m hoarding a lot of the books at the moment in preparation of my summer reading stack, and these four is going to be at the top of the stack! 📚
Today‘s books haul! 🌿💛 I‘ve had a really stressful week so I‘ve been looking forward to today‘s trip to the used bookstore all week. These all looked good to me, has anyone read any of them? #bookhaul
My #bookhaul from our indie bookstore stops this weekend! Thanks @jfalkens and @RainyDayReading for the recommendations.
I'm writing this a little late as I've already moved on to the third book I this 4some. Clearly I'm enjoying the story. 🐉
1 hour left in 24in48! Do I spend it with Robin Hobb or the Walking Dead?
This felt less like a book but the first part of a book, which I understand happens in series sometimes but really 400+ pages of set-up was a bit much, especially when it hasn't gotten me invested enough in either the story or the characters to make mere particularly interested in reading the next book.
Dragon book stack ❤
Dragon books are my favourite kind of book. These demonstrate a wide variety, from tame to wild, from cute to terrifying! 🐲

Really thinking about reading this series again. Have any of you guys read this?
For @RealLifeReading's #AprilBookShowers: #DropEverythingAndRead
As you can tell by the laundry in the background, Robin Hobb has overtaken my life. 😄
Today's photo challenge lines up with a #ReadingChallenge of my own. One of my goals this year is to read an author's entire bibliography, and so far I've read the stack on the left along with the standalone. I hope to finish the rest in the #RealmoftheElderlings before May's book release!
Loved this!!!!!
My journey through Hobbs Realm of the Elderlings continues. Read the first three trilogies last year and am finally on to the Rain Wilds quartet. It's been a long time that I've read a book this long in only a couple days.
At this rate I may actually be caught up by the time Asassins Fate comes out in May.
This was clearly not meant to be a standalone book. It's a bit slow to get going and only feels half way into the story by the time you get to the end. I'll have to read volume 2 to finish this story.
#fantasy
I enjoyed this one just as much as I used to enjoy Hobb when I was 15! Most fantasy series with multiple characters tend to have some characters that are boring to read about, but here it's all good.
The reading light I bought at Barnes & Noble in the US is awesome! Finally I can read comfortably in bed. And I really wish I had bought all the books in this series... (not that they had them)
Airport reading before our 10h flight back to Norway (already 2h delayed). Hobb is as good as I remember.
I have barely read fantasy since I was 15 and I'm honestly a bit scared!
I get tons of #Joy from my TBR shelves, which I recently arranged by color. Welcome to red, orange, and yellow! A bunch of these will get read in next year's #LitsyReadingChallenge2017 and #LitsyAtoZ, which should have some overlap. Every one of these is an adventure waiting to happen!
#12DaysofXmasPhoto
This would be a pick, except for the cliffhanger ending-it didn't feel like a natural place to stop. I don't remember Robin Hobb's other books ending this way- they still felt like complete stories.
I'm still really looking forward to reading the rest of this series though.
#PhotoADayNov16- If I'm #readinginbed at night , then it's usually on my old kindle keyboard.
He usually does not care for the camera but he loves to sleep next to me when I read. So I managed to sneek a picture of my little Noodle. 😀
Finaly after hours of work my paper is finished! Now it's time to continue reading this lovely book. And I am in love with this candle, the wax is in little triangle shapes, it is so cute 💚 I got it yesterday as part of a gift for the end of my term on the study associatoin board. On to New challenges! But first... reading 📖
I had a lovely autumnal day today. Started of with some interesting college classes, followed by a walk past some bookshops and a walk in the forest, leaves falling.... And what better way to end this day than with a hot cup of tea and a fresh book 📖🍁🍂
