Was reading this book on my phone. It was slow but had a very interesting premise. However Apple Books decided to remove my download multiple times and I kept losing my page so I‘ve currently given up for now!

1) Quiet by Susan Cain. Life-changing book for me.
2) Hamilton by Ron Chernow
3) Killers of The Flower Moon by David Grann
Hard to limit to 3! 😄

My kind of (old school?🤨) quiet. I new book & good🎶❤️🔥🤓📚
Power‘s been restored as of a few mins ago, although I fully expect another & am charging devices now while I can.
My niece (aka my sidekick & neighbour) & I got my generator semi-ready last might so 1/2 that job is done if it‘s needed. Let‘s hope not though.
Engrossing and revelatory.
Nice book about the power of introversion, quiet, sitting with yourself and pondering, in a world where being an outspoken extrovert is recognized and rewarded.
Sadly… I‘ve tried this twice now, and I should be into it… but I‘m just not…. No idea why. Maybe I‘ll try again sometime in the future.
Today‘s #audioknitting is a pi shawl inspired throw that will burn through my MANY mini skeins. I started it yesterday and am finding it a really fun engaging knit. I might actually learn how to do lace after all.
I‘m taking my time with this #audiobook. It is speaking to my soul.

We're gonna have time to read today, right Mom? Yes, Sabrina. We will read. 🤓❤️🐾 #dogsoflitsy #greatdane
Finally reading this book. I‘ve had the ebook for ages.
School started so I have been off social media and not reading for fun very much.
I am getting in some #audioknitting though.

Currently reading. So far its good and im enjoying it. When I checked it out I did t realize it was nonfiction. I got it cause of the title. I had no idea what it was about. Still dont really know. Good thing I like nonfiction.
This is a wonderful read for introverts (like me 😊) and extroverts alike ❤️

I was able to finish this on the plane as we sat waiting for takeoff because of fog in DC. An interesting look at the cultural points of view on introversion and extroversion.

Sidling up to today‘s #NovemberNarative by going for some Peace and Quiet 😉
This books helped me understand myself so much. Until I read it, I didn‘t know why I felt so drained sometimes. Recommended reading for any introvert.

This is me every Friday after a week of work or after a “ crowd” activity. I suspect many Littens can relate to this quote.

What else would I read for this prompt? 😀 Some helpful insights into my own personality as well as those of my sons (one who is an introvert, the other an extrovert). A bit draggy in spots, though —it took me a month to read this at just under 300 pages. 🤷🏻♀️

This book really validated so much about me.Her discussion of our culture‘s evolvement into one supportive of extroverts was also illuminating. When my son(an introverted autistic), was 4 his preschool teacher was very concerned not because of who he was,but because all children had to work in teams as teams were the future of the work force in the U.S.That is when the town sent a special ed preschool teacher to the school.

Today, another game changer. This book was one of the first steps on my journey of self-discovery as an introvert. It was so liberating to realize that nothing is wrong with me, I'm just different from my extroverted family members and friends.
Going to take my time reading this book, and there‘s a blurry hummingbird in this picture by the post/feeder.
🧠 How do you take care of your mental health?
As a super introvert it is essential to my well-being to carve out lots of alone time. This means setting boundaries and saying no regularly.
🧠 How did you show yourself love this week?
Treated myself to some new books, started biking to work again and enjoyed the blooming tulips in our front yard (pictured).

This book was an eye opener for me. All of a sudden, things made sense. I wish this book had been around when I was in high school and college. It would have completely changed my perception of myself.
Susan Cain did a lot of research for this book explaining the difference between introverts, extroverts, and how to cope as an introvert. It is a must read for anyone who has felt out of place in our social media, extrovert obsessed world.
The word for today is QUIET. I feel like I shouldn‘t have capitalized it. Hope you have a quiet day full of peace and plenty of time to read. 😊📚💕
First read if 2022. I enjoyed this book & learning of the “power of quiet”. Would highly recommend for introverts & extroverts.
I absolutely loved this book. It really has given me insight to myself and made me feel less different. Introverts and extroverts have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are are an introvert i highly recommend this book.
I give it four stars because some of her stories are a little too long. Occasionally they take the reader away from the text instead of enlightening her point due to their length.

January 2nd is World Introvert Day. As an Introvert, I plan to celebrate the same way as I celebrate every other holiday — by staying home and reading.
This book changed my life. Will definitely be re-reading in the new year, to remind myself of who I am and why I‘m important.
This book has been on my shelf for too long, but since it was my #doublespin pick this month, I was motivated to finally read it! I saw myself reflected in so much of this -- it was nice to feel like maybe it's okay to be the observer in a crowd. And I thought the chapter on relationships was particularly interesting.

Thanks @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks . I'll admit I wasn't feeling all that positive this morning, so it has done me some good to do this!
I have a habit of comparing myself to others, or a fictional version of myself, so this one really stuck with me. The tagged book has had the biggest impact of any on how I see myself.
Tagging anyone else who feels like joining in 🙂

🎧 This is a book everyone should read no matter if you think you‘re an introvert or extrovert. If you‘re a teacher or employer/boss/HR.
I learned that I‘m an introvert and not shy as there is a difference.
There‘s a wealth of knowledge that you might not think about and know that whether in work or school that 25-50% of who you deal with daily may be an introvert.
⭐️⭐️⭐️7/8
Not really book related, but I found a video that really sums up how I feel inside. Seriously. All the time.
Now that quarantine is over 🤞, I am back to feeling guilty that I don‘t want to leave my house and socialize (yet I do).

#bookspinbingo 🙌 this was a fascinating read, really interesting to think about how I could make my introvert tendencies work to my advantage!
I loved this. Books like these can be harder to get into for me for lack of a plot, but the anecdotes were very interesting and I never got too bored reading it. Finished the book with new insights about myself and would recommend it to anybody, however I would especially recommend it to teachers who grade on participation.
Only $6 for all these at a used book sale 😍
Just under 6 of 10 hours complete in the Spring #BooklyReadathon!!
Over halfway there.
Who else is doing reading for it this time around??
I am ready for something a little less dense than this one turned out to be, but it was very informative, thoroughly researched, and well written.
Looking forward to starting a new book tomorrow and sailing right through the finish line!!

The trick is not to amass all the different kinds of available power, but to use well the kind you‘ve been granted.
There is no one more courageous than the person who speaks with the courage of his (or her) convictions.
This is a really interesting examination on what introverts bring to the table and how it differers from what extroverts provide. Also what exactly makes a person and introvert and different ways introverts can be successful in an extroverted world. It helped me understand my own personality a bit more.
The audiobook narrator had probably the most soothing voice I‘ve ever heard for an audiobook.

The tagged book is, in my humble opinion, one of the most important treatises on the power of the #introvertlife and #quiet in this noisy chaotic world.
It's quite simply one of the most personally relatable books I've ever read, and I'm not even done with it yet!!
What are your thoughts on the book? Or on the introvert life in general?

Happy World Introvert Day. I'm going to celebrate by drinking my cinnamon tea and reading.
