I really like the creepy and chilling adventures of Coraline. It was really good. I like how the author was slidding important messages in the story, for kids to realise that it is not always good to have everything you want, to be brave, to be courageous and to appreciate your family.
The illustrations were really good.

Since everyone is posting for the prompt #blackcat here is Salem. He‘s a spooky lil boi. #catsoflitsy
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I usually don‘t like reading books for stories that I already know, but this was not the case with Coraline. The art of the novel was so vastly different than that of the film that it was almost a totally different story but not at the same time! #graphicnovel
In Nashville for our GameStop Managers Conference and found this swanky room to read in before the day gets going. #nashville #graphicnovel #comic
Stoked to read this one! Love the story of Coraline and I‘m really excited to see it adapted as a graphic novel. #comic #graphicnovel
I remember the original illustrated version of this from when it first came out. It seems strange to me to do a graphic novel retelling of what was essentially already a graphic novel. The artwork and formatting in this version are much more conventional for the genre - everything‘s in full color, and looks very flat, and Coralline‘s character is drawn so she looks older. All in all I found this fun, but it doesn‘t hold a candle to the original.
Love the story! Love the art! Need to read the book version but I loved this graphic novel adaptation! Coraline is such a strong and powerful young lady! Love to see girl characters that are strong and BA because that I what we are! We are not weak !
Day is almost gone. I still have one graphic novel to read and I'm in the middle of a book but no way I will finish it for this BookTube-A Thon that will be over at midnight. This one cover the challenge of book with movie adaptation but I will re-watch the movie later. Wow this graphic novel is darker in comparison with the movie as far as I remember. I liked the story. Great illustration. You know what the story is about.3.4⭐️👍
I loved this so much. I had never read the book, but the movie is one of my favorites to watch. This was definitely better...as most books are. The illustrations are great and I absolutely love the cat.

I love the illustrations in this one. The cat is adorable. 🐱

Graphic novel version. Coraline discovers Other parents through a door in her house, but there's something not quite right about them

Some quiet Sunday morning reading. Just me, book and coffee. Finally getting into my pile of graphic novels. I read this book before but I am looking forward to the graphic novel. I also love the movie.
Help!! So all you guys' post have wanting to step out of my comfort zone and read some graphic novels... problem being, I have no clue where to start. Preferably something easy to follow with an awesome storyline & brilliant illustrations. Coraline popped up when I started to type "graphic novel" in for a tagged book. I loved the movie but don't know much about the book... is it a good place to start? If so, I'll have to see if I can hunt it down
I very much enjoyed the graphic novelization of this book. I realize that the movie version really did a good job of staying with much of what happened in the book. I am now strongly considering Coraline as a contender for my Halloween costume this year.
I will not lie, this book was very creepy. I read it for the first prompt in the 2018 Popsugar reading challenge (A book made into a movie you've already seen). I really really liked it even though it creeped me out!

So I might have a Halloween problem. I totally got these because I cannot let it go. Also, they are just adorable.
Omg, I yelled so much going through this. I have always wanted to read Coraline and I love the pattern book. So many in there that I want to make. Also, @CatLass007 , how did you know that I would be needing the body butter and coffee. I just ran out this week. This is amazing and thank you so much! @MaleficentBookDragon #FallBookExchange #AllHallowsReadBookExchange
Thank you so much, @HelloKarie , for my amazing #HalloweenGoesPostal items. You were absolutely right, any Neil Gaiman is an absolute must for me. I LOVE everything 😍😍😍😍🎉🎊
And thank you @BookishMarginalia for putting this together!
I absolutely loved, loved, loved, loved and really enjoyed Coraline!

Loved this quirky telling of Neil Gaiman's Coraline. Coraline's crazy neighbours were one of my favourite parts of the book 🐭☕️🐾
This looks like fun! 😀
1. Chocolate is life!
2. Coloured edges. Unnecessary distractions are distracting. Lol
3. Stand Alone. I rarely get into series. If I do takes me forever and a day to finish. 😂
4. Wonderland. Feels like to much of a boys club in Neverland.
5. Librarian! In the next year or so I'm hoping to go into library tech! ❤
@Kalalalatja
I've loved Gaiman's novel for years, and this #graphicnovel #adaptation was a great take on the story. The art style recreated the strange, dark elements of the novel well. The writing pulls narration from the book where necessary but doesn't over saturate the book with it. Overall, I really enjoyed this adaptation. While it didn't take chances like the film did, it accurately retold the story.
When you‘re scared but you do it anyway, that‘s brave.

My #favouriteneilgaiman is the only one I've read! Had to reuse a photo as the book was a library copy. #photoadaynov16
#favoriteanimalsidekick has to be the Cat from Coraline. #novemberland #day3 @TizJ3ss
I enjoyed the graphic novel of 'Coraline' from
start to finish, the illustrations are great to look at and the Other Mother looks scarier which I enjoyed.
'Coraline' is a wonderful story, there are some changes in the graphic novel (I recognised some of the lines from the film adaptation), the changes do not take anything away from the story.
I will definitely read this story again and again. Highly recommended.
Just in from the library!
Very realistic style. Loved the reference to popular children's / young adult reads; it felt like it REALLY set Coraline in today. I'm partial to the quirky blue-haired movie Coraline, but I still loved this adaptation!
