#Scarathlon2020 - Welcome to #TeamHarkness where we‘re all about horror and ghouly creatures! Monsters, witches, vampires, demons, zombies - anything supernatural and paranormal fits the bill. Our buddy read for the event is A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Read the book anytime during October to get the buddy read points. If that doesn‘t float your boat, the other option is Carpe Demon by Julie Kenner - a lighter read. 👇

Hi everyone! This was a fun book about the main character traveling. A 17 year old got in a art program in Ireland. Her mother surprises her and tags along for the ride. The book was okay to much drama between mother and daughter. If you like Gilmore Girls you will probably enjoy it. #litsy #kindle #kindlefire #paperwhite
I have officially finished And We‘re Off!!! Honestly I had a hard time getting into it at first. The beginning might be a little slow, but it‘s a beautiful story. A girl finding herself on a trip in Europe. A classic. It‘s not a bad book.

New book! “And We‘re Off”. I‘m super excited to dive into a new book. After this I have one more and then it‘s back to the book store for me!

I thought this book was a lot like that episode of Gilmore Girls where Emily takes Lorelei to the spa

After 5, almost 6 years here at our current base, we're finally moving next spring! Anyone down in this area? I'm so excited but also super nervous. The closest library doesn't seem that great and I don't speak any Spanish. 😌

I almost bailed on this book, but I'm so glad I didn't. I wasn't so sure that I liked Nora or her mother at first but as their story unfolded I completely understood both of them. It's a story of a mother and daughter both trying to "find themselves" after the disappointments of life.

When the book I'm currently reading mentions the one I just read and one I'm going to be reading. 👊

Cute story. Some of the sections moved faster then others. The main character often imagined things that were presented as real until the sentence after, which was a little confusing a few times. But over all I liked it.
This book was only 250 pages and it was so hard for me to stay interested in the story. I bailed halfway through.
Nora was kind of a brat and all over the place. But I guess she was the typical teenager who was just trying to find herself. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to read this book.

I'm not a teenager or an artist, but I could relate to Nora's conflicts It's the classic story of a metaphorical journey of finding yourself mixed with a literal journey, in this case traveling Europe. Parts were clichéd for sure, but it was light and easy and just what I needed before going back to school on Friday!

Someone else is happy about the book package that arrived today too! :-) #botm #bookmail #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #readingcompanion

This was a quick and fun summer read.
I enjoyed the YA novel metaphors and Harry Potter references. I can relate to Nora's insecurities. It wrapped up quickly, but I didn't mind because sometimes it's nice to finish a book in 2 days.

American War was pretty dark, Chemistry was far too relatable, so I decided I'm going with what I hope is a cheesy beach read... if you all have any other light hearted reads to recommend please do!!!

Airplane read is a book that involves travel. Hope to finish before I get in!
So happy that this came up on the other books list on book of the month when I was ordering my May pick! It was such a wonderful read and really trigger that wanderlust that I've had from a young age.

@emilyhaldi @L_auren look what I found as an add-on for Book of the Month. More decisions!

Do we know a pick?!?
