panThe synopsis made the book sound really interesting. But, actually a mediocre use of a decent setup. Decent for an utmost beginner. Simple language, super average characters and many fillers. Just a book with lots and lots of bad decisions by every character. Nothing in particular stayed with me. There are better books with good plot and thrill. Any other recommendation by the author?

Halfway through this book and I'm still waiting for it to get dark. Also, it has so many fillers which hamper the pace. I don't think it'll be a good one.😑

pickOverall, I liked this book. It started off strong with drama and suspense when Hannah has her sweet 16 birthday party and things end badly. After awhile the parental drama went a little flat for me and became super focused on money. The ending was interesting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #MountTBR
pickAn incident at a sleepover birthday party starts a shitshow and all the characters (who were all awful) make so many horrible decisions, but darn if it didn‘t keep me turning the pages! A quick, interesting read.

pickWow, this book was intense! So many bad decisions leading to worst decisions- and I couldn't put it down. If you enjoy screaming at horror movies (What? Don't go up in to the attic! You are in danger, girl!), then you'll love shaking your head at all of the terrible choices the characters make.
I have never been happier not to be an upper class parent in my entire life. This is a tough listen because between the teens and the parents there are SO MANY bad choices being made! #audiobook #TBR #cantputdown

pickThere seems to be a lot of mediocre reviews for this one, but I was entertained! It feels a lot like a Liane Moriarty novel where it revolves around one dramatic event and you're waiting for the truth of the events to unfold. I was a bit thrown by the ending, but it wasn't bad, just surprising.

so-soIt was a fast read, but not a great one. The characters are unlikable(all of them) and the ending was a bit abrupt and definitely lacking.
I think back on my teenage years and wonder if the books are way off or if I was just totally blind to this stuff happening around me. I wasn't popular but I wasn't unpopular either. I was somewhere in between, it wasn't an awful place to be. Is this extreme popularity the make you or break kind a real thing... anyone have experience with this?

The Party immediately grabbed my attention and kept me interested, and it was shaping up to be a pretty solid domestic thriller. However, the ending was a major letdown and it was lacking in suspense and tension. I loved Harding‘s other book, Her Pretty Face, but this one was meh. #LitsyAtoZ #LetterP

panOne teenage girl‘s slumber party led to a terrible tragedy. Lots of family drama, teenage angst, substance use and the horrible effects of bullying in this one. But it‘s hard for me to enjoy a book when I didn‘t like any of the characters. They all seemed selfish and superficial.
so-soThis wasn‘t what I was expecting and at times I felt like I was reading a YA book. It was a quick,fast read but I didn‘t particularly enjoy it. The characters weren‘t likeable or relatable and the twist I was hoping for, to redeem it, never came. Despite that, it wasn‘t terrible, the author has a nice writing style but it‘s definitely not the must read I was hoping for. If you‘ve got it already it‘s worth a read but I wouldn‘t go out and buy it.

Came across this book in an On the Shelf newsletter, and I'm intrigued! I did love Big Little Lies, and it does sound like a similar path with gossip, kids birthdays, and possibly a crazy twist. Definitely stacked!!
pickI enjoyed this book. It was an easy read yet kept you interested enough to keep reading. I was a little disappointed at the ending but overall a good book. Definitely one to read whilst travelling or on holiday.
