I read this in April but forgot to post about it. I loved it and I love this cover! 💛♥️💚

This was a reread for me. Originally read in 2018, but didn‘t remember anything. My original Goodreads review said I wanted to read it before I watched the movie. To this day, I‘ve never watched the movie 😬🤦♀️.
This was a good mystery! I didn‘t remember who the killer was, so it was like a brand new story.
I really enjoyed this one. I was kinda close to guessing who did it this time 😂
I listened to my monthly Christie over the past couple of days, and I quite liked Crooked House. The family relationships in this novel are satisfyingly complex, and there are a couple of misdirections here that I enjoyed. As with most Christies, I doubt it will stick with me, but it's always lovely to spend some time listening to Hugh Fraser tell me about murders.
Listened to both of these in March.
Saw on GR that PofF is often considered Christie‘s worst book, that it was her last one when she was losing some memory. I still love Tommy & Tuppence but not much seems to happen, & it was repetitive at times. The first 3 T&T books are great, last 2 so-so. #serieslove23
The tagged was more of a classic Christie where anyone in a family could have been the killer. An interesting choice as an ending. #bookspin
Charles Hayward investigates the murder of his fiancee's grandfather as she refuses to marry him while she is still a possible suspect.
A stand-alone novel where my little grey cells failed me completely.
And now for the mystery QUEEN.
I drew a local crooked house yesterday and it's just fit that I started reading Crooked House today
A good standalone Christie novel where I didn‘t see the end coming. Best part? Got it used for $4! I‘m a sucker for a sale.
My December #bookspin, which I started at the beginning of December but only finished last night. As a kid I loved Christie, but I found this book s-l-o-w. Too much talking and no suspense. @TheAromaofBooks
Looking forward to a new year of #bookspin.
I tried to make myself tolerate it. She made the murderer an unlikeable and ugly person. Take my word for it, this is not one of her best. Did she mean to imply that ugly people are deformed spiritually or morally?
The best thing about it is I have completed my #PopSugar2021 challenge with it.
I have enjoyed all of the Christie‘s I have read so far, however Crooked House has to be my favourite to date. The suspense, the thrill and the pain inflicted, and the turmoil of living within the house alongside a murderer was epic in this novel. Agatha, you‘ve done it again! #HighlyRecommended
Excellent. As usual, not sure who did it until the end. The characters you get to know as the plot unfolds are interesting. Her stories are always well written, characters well developed, plot believable, and they never feel dated. 8 hours of my personal 12 hour #readathon done. 2 books for #BFC21 January goal of 6.

There were parts of this book where I found myself picturing Knives Out. With that being said, I really enjoyed this Christie stand alone and look forward to watching the film adaptation. 9 Agatha Christie books read for #AuthorAMonth #LittenListen #BookSpinBingo #WinterGames2020 #TeamReadNosedReindeer #DashingDecember #WinterSolstice #24B4Monday +16 pts
Agatha Christie is amazing. She leads you through the mystery, and you trust her, and then BAM she pulls the rug out, or opens a concealed door to what should‘ve been seen all along! Love her! #authoramonth2020 #bookspinbingo #wintergames2020 #teamreadnosedreindeer 16pts #readmyowndamnbooks
Perfect for October reading as it does take place in autumn. I‘ve read a number of Christie now, and this is another topnotch tale.
Only just started reading Agatha Christie novels, I think this my third this year.
It has all the classics story plots, country house a number of suspects, lots of twists and turns.
I really enjoyed it.
The main character in this murder mystery describes a piece of art as fantasia. I looked up the word because it obviously does not mean what I thought it did. You know, a word Disney made up.
Okay #GroupN I found these on my shelf. Any of these sound good? Otherwise, I will track down a copy of that first one I tagged that everyone liked. I‘m guessing some of us may have read And Then There Were None as it is a popular title, but the other two are up for possibilities. 😊
Tagging below for easy finding. #lmpbc @Laughterhp @Marmie7 @hwestfall
Would you read it?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of Agatha Christie‘s best novels - when millionaire Aristide Leonides dies of poisoning it is clear that his family is under suspicion, the new wife, sons, daughters in law, grandchildren or their great aunt? All lived together in the same house, all had means and opportunity, most have motive. Which one of them is guilty?
I‘ve been a little under the weather this long weekend. So comfort reading Agatha and bingeing on the Great British Bake Off have done wonders for my m🤨🤨d.
@Mollyanna For some reason I didn‘t get this book out early, as I thought I would. But I did mail it out on time today.
This was my first Agatha Christie, but I don‘t intend for it to be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this entry into #whodunitthesequel ! Excellent choice, and thank you for the wonderful introduction to Dame Agatha. @Mollyanna I hope to get this selection out early to you for a change.
My first Agatha Christie did not disappoint, I was left guessing until the last couple of pages. This is headed your way @CatLass007 #whodunitthesequel
A fast, atmospheric read in vintage Christie style, this kept me guessing till the last minute (and I still didn't figure it out!)
Sending out today for #whodunitthesequel

One of my favorite bookmarks. Its actually a kids valentine card that my husband gave me on our first Valentines day.
Three more down for #BFCR2
Crooked house is now in my top 3 #agathachristie novels.
Nature fix was interesting, didn't really gain any new knowledge but still good. Get outside and enjoy nature for your mental and physical health!

I really loved this one! This is actually my first read Agatha Christie...I own Murder on the Orient Express (thanks to a very sweet Litten) but haven‘t got to it yet. I definitely see more Christie in my future!
Tightly woven, not overly long (read “no excess filler”) and kept me waffling back and forth on the identity of the murderer until the last few pages. Won‘t say more here to spoil for my #whodunitthesequel cohorts who haven‘t read it. 🔽
About to start this one for #whodunitthesequel ! 👀😊📚 I love the beautiful, foil-textured journal that was included with it. ❤️
I received my next #whodunitthesequel book today @ferskner . Thanks so much!
BTW, GORGEOUS journal! ❤️
@Librarybelle
One of Agatha Christie‘s favorite books to write, it‘s one of my favorites to read. No Marple and no Poirot but still riveting as it unfolds.
Both Crooked House and I Am Not a Serial Killer are on the way to you, @ferskner ! They should be there Monday. #whodunitthesequel
After a longggggg week (I have a cold or sinus infection or something and have been miserable), I plan on spending the weekend resting, reading, #audiocrocheting, and watching movies.
I'm trying to read but I can't lift my arm.
Persephone thinks she's a parrot.
😂 #catsoflitsy
I want to see the movie so, of course I need yo read the book first. I have to squeeze it in this month before my #bookclub books.
Harpy is incredulous.

I love Dame Agatha and this has been on my TBR for awhile. It sucked me in from chapter one and I finished it in a few hours because I had to know what happened! I really enjoyed this one and I‘m going to watch the movie tomorrow. Highly recommended for fans of murder mysteries and a quick read. 5⭐️

P.S. Sending this next week with the other book I have (starting it today) to @Pamwurtzler for #whodunitthesequel 🤗
I definitely found this a fun novel to read. Christie goes straight into the mystery in this one, and our protagonist is jumping in to aid the investigation. At the same time that Christie plays with familiar character types, they don't feel grating or tiresome. She unfolds the uncomfortable family dynamic, setting it up for the hero and the reader. It was satisfying and a little uneasy. Perfect for a murder mystery.
🕎 Went to a friend‘s Chanukah party tonight to eat latkes, drink spiked hot chocolate, and watch this melodramatic adaptation of one of Agatha Christie‘s novels. Crooked House was delightful, particularly Glenn Close, and I‘m going to have to track down the book now!
