So last week was really hard for me with a lot of family drama (thankfully NOT with my hubby who is amazing lol) and stress at work. And then yesterday I got the most fantastic package in the mail from @SaturnDoo absolutely STUFFED with goodies - it lifted my spirits so much! I received a lovely surprise Halloween package today from the brilliant @erzascarletbookgasm ! I'm so excited about the du Maurier (eternal favourite indeed!) and look forward to reading more of Ira Levin, and love the cute spooky socks 😁 And the journal is beautiful, but the note that came with it was even better. Thank you so much, Jessie, that means a lot ❤️❤️❤️ It was such a treat to get this in the mail, you are too kind 😘😘

This surprised me, but I‘ll take it. I love Loki but I do acknowledge his naughty streak. Not sure what the comparison is saying about me, but okay!! From my memory of Frozen, Elsa has her own issues. I can see me sequestering myself in a frozen castle (ie, my study) with my books and counting the world well lost, so I guess we‘re alike in that respect! 😁
So I hit this milestone today 😆 I'm just about finished with my swaps (just got to post the last one 😀) so I'm thinking I'll plan a giveaway as soon as that's done... watch this space 😉 💜💙❤

I think I was surprised by this book because it's not my genre at all. Anything fantasy or supernatural is not my thing... but I kept hearing about this book so decided to give it a try and ended up loving it! I'm stingy with my 5 star ratings on Goodreads but I gave this 5 stars!

These 3 books all surprised me when I read them. Alice I Have Been and Devil in the White City because they were books that got me into these genres a d I Let You Go because it was a thriller with a twist I did not see coming!
