Mistborn Trilogy | 
It was a beautiful day to get some reading in yesterday and we have another couple on the way. I'm about halfway through book 1 right now and still enjoying it. I'm happy to see there isn't really much romance (at least right now) in the book - I don't need a romance story in every book I read! I am hoping the story starts to move along soon as the balls and such are growing a bit tiresome.

Mistborn opens with Kelsier as he #motivates a ragtag crew to overthrow the Final Empire. I have seen Mistborn referred to as Grimdark, & I disagree with that. I will say that the series goes in unexpected directions. Mistborn will always have a special place for me, as it was my first experience with Sanderson. Recommend for readers curious about Sanderson as it has many of the strengths of the Stormlight w/o the time commitment.

If you haven‘t read this series yet you should, the magic system is so detailed and thoughout you feel like it should be real. As a now worshipper at the Brandon Sanderson altar, this book was my gateway.
1) Reaper Of Terrasen is a mashup of elements from two of my favorite series‘. ‘Reaper Of‘ is from the Red Rising series of which the main character Darrow is known as the Reaper of Mars. Terrasen is the country from Throne of Glass.
2) I‘m thankful for my room full of books and the calming effect from the paper and ink smell

So I heard that there is a microtransgression against disabled folks in this trilogy. Does the microtransgression make it real bad? I don't want to read something with that and I want to make sure i'm not supporting an author that isn't for disabled folks.
UK paperback edition of the Mistborn trilogy was delivered today! I prefer HC‘s. I made an exception for this boxed set the instant I saw it. NOT a fan of Sanderson‘s US covers. Well unless you count his Autographed leather HC editions. Some day I will own one. I liked the blue temporary cover that was all over the Internet for Rhythm of War. 😆 So disappointed when they revealed the actual cover. Mistborn is the worst. LOVE THIS BOXED SET 🖤

Brandon Sanderson builds complex magic systems that my brain loves envisioning. This series was my first by him, and I absolutely loved it! Wonderful strong female MC, and tons of others, heavily political fantasy world, there‘s lots to dig into here.

Yesterday for National Booklover‘s Day, my husband surprised me by taking us to the bookstore ‘to celebrate.‘ After getting our two boys a few books, i wandered on my own to the fantasy section, and...well..😊🥳👏🏻
#BookMail Pt6 I came across Brandon Sanderson when he ghostwrote the last volumes of The Wheel Of Time. I still think he did an awful job, but I think that anybody except Robert Jordan himself wasn‘t good enough to finish that. So I‘m giving him another chance. A lot of people rave about his Mistborn series, so we‘ll see whether I enjoy him writing his own material. Are you a Sanderson fan? Let me know what you think about his work & his WOT work.
pickI finished reading the second book of Mistborn three days ago, and the end of the story refreshed my perception, which was really good. In addition, I found on the internet all the covers of the Chinese version of Mistborn, PS: Their author is Breathing2004 , a designer from Shanghai,China.
pickI got this series about a year and a half ago and Lord Ruler I did not know how much I would grow to love this series and its characters! It‘s a bit slow at the start (if it‘s your first time reading) but as you go along pieces start to fall into place and the end of each book is simply phenomenal!!!

These are my (well, my husband‘s) well worn copies. Overall, I adore Sanderson‘s plotting, world building, and the clues he drops that you can put together. Less adorable is the writing, especially dialogue and character development. The characters often mope about and repeat themselves.
But the fights scenes, and the ending of all three books, are masterful. All worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⬇️
There‘s no way I could feasibly get enough of Mistborn. It‘s just too good.
I‘ll be finished with Shadows of Self soon and already can‘t wait to start Bands of Mourning.
London is full of surprises. These tunnels under the tube (there's actually a bunch of theatre venues in here) reminded me of #Mistborn...

pickLoved the series. Both trilogies are great. I have to admit, I liked the first better than the second by just a smidgen.
The weather has coordinated with my book. Listening to this series on the recommendation of Mr Oryx (who proclaims most books he reads to be "not bad", but this one got a rare "good"!).

The love of books and reading in this novel I wasn‘t expecting and it‘s really very sweet - who wouldn‘t fall for someone quietly reading in the corner of a party. Love it!
Grabbing a swift few chapters in the garden - ignoring the to do list that‘s on the kitchen table!
Final stop for cake before I start the journey home! The lakes and mountains are shrouded in low cloud - seems like they want me to feel immersed in my ‘mist‘ book!

Today‘s hike has all been about finding the perfect spot to pause and read. So far I‘ve read 5 chapters but only hiked 4 miles ( vertical ones though!). #sundaypace !
I demoed this today at #gencon and was so disappointed! You play as the houses and try to fight off the revolution. Very little of the magic is used. Really seems like a sell out. Boooo
