#AuthorAMonth #JaneHarper @Soubhiville

This is the second book in the series. An excellent read about a woman who goes missing during a work adventure break in Australia. This book dues a good job of building tension as the book goes along, rather like peeling layers off an onion. Some good twists along the way.

Ruthiella This is my favorite of the four Harper mysteries I‘ve read so far. I think it was the twisty plot I liked so much. 2w
Andrew65 @Ruthiella Can definitely see why. 2w
Bluebird I just finished this one and enjoyed it too. I loved the slow, steady build up to an exciting conclusion. 2w
inthegreensandblues I just saw that a movie adaptation is coming out this spring. Looking forward to it since I thought the first one was done pretty well. 2w
Andrew65 @inthegreensandblues Should be good, will need to keep an eye out for that. 2w
Andrew65 @Bluebird Did a really good job of building up tension and pace. 2w

Finished my #aam today. What an incredibly compelling mystery. The descriptions of Australia in the midst of an intense drought was.... Damn, so horrifying. The mystery was depressing AF and the characters were complicated. I highly enjoyed this and might actually continue the series 🤣🤣

Welcome to January 2024 #AuthorAMonth readers! Time to pull out our Jane Austen books. What are you planning to read?

#AuthorAMonth is a no-pressure, no-commitment Litsy challenge. The goal is to celebrate the works of a particular author each month. Authors were chosen through polls by Litsy participants. Read as many as you like, skip months when needed, it's entirely up to you! ⬇️

Soubhiville There will be some prizes sent at the end of the year:

-There will be ONE prize book box for "MOST READ." In order to qualify, books must be FINISHED in the appropriate month. (Bails will not be counted.) It is up to you to keep track by editing your Google form each month. (this prize can only be won once, there will be a different winner every year.) ⬇️
4mo
Soubhiville -There will be one prize randomly chosen from the "EVERY MONTH CLUB". To qualify for this prize you must read one or more book every month for the qualifying author. For this category BAILS COUNT. The winners will be chosen randomly from the participants that qualify for the club. 4mo
Soubhiville -There will also be one or more random prizes sent to any randomly drawn participant who has FINISHED at least one qualifying book during the year.

Only Listy members who are still active in the Listy community at the time of drawings will qualify.

I will build a new Google form for 2024 by the end of January. ⬇️

Soubhiville I am using the 2024 tag list for the first time. If I‘ve made any typos let me know, or if I‘ve somehow missed adding you I apologize, just let me know. 😁🤞 4mo
Susanita Maybe this time I will actually finish Emma! 4mo
Soubhiville Some of you are tagged more than once because I‘m not sure the tag worked for the first time… let me know if you got two notifications? I‘m going to read 4mo
Soubhiville @Susanita good luck! Classics can be a challenge for me. 4mo
dariazeoli This is the year I finally read 4mo
IndoorDame I‘m thinking I‘m going to read Emma. I think it‘s been by far the longest since I‘ve read it. 4mo
Lcsmcat I may reread Persuasion. It‘s my favorite Austen. 4mo
Bookwormjillk I‘m not sure yet. I‘ve read them all so it‘s going to be a mid-month treat for me to pick whichever one I have a feel for. 4mo
Laughterhp I‘m going with Sense and Sensibility. I‘ve never read it before. I‘m just waiting on my library copy. 4mo
Amiable I may skip this month to focus on my #AuldLangSpine booklist—undetermined at this time. 🙂 4mo
Jess I found two different copies of Sense and Sensibility on my shelves so will start there but I‘ve never read Northanger Abbey and may want to try that this month. 4mo
AllDebooks I might go with Persuasion as it's the only one I haven't read or maybe stick with comfort reading my favourite 4mo
Melismatic I‘m not an Austen girlie but I trust this challenge! Gonna go left field with 4mo
vonnie862 I'm going to try Northanger Abbey. 4mo
Soubhiville @Melismatic I‘ve actually never read her! I feel like a book traitor to say I enjoy the movies but have never been drawn to the books. I‘m trying this month though! 4mo
Soubhiville @Amiable I love that challenge! I hope you have a bunch of books you‘re excited about for it. 4mo
vlwelser Emma. I'm not really an Austen person. I read P&P and kept expecting (hoping) zombies were about to lumber out of the bushes. We'll see what happens with this one. 4mo
BarkingMadRead I think I‘m going to read Persuasion. I always reach for P&P so I thought I‘d try something different 4mo

Caryl I‘m excited for Austen month! It will be fun to read all the posts. I‘ve read The Big Six, so I‘m going to start with one of her early works, then see if I have time for more. 4mo
Deblovestoread I‘m going to start with Persuasion. If time allows I might squeeze in either P & P or S & S. 4mo
dabbe Either SENSE AND SENSIBILITY or PERSUASION. Haven't read either one. 4mo
mom2bugnbee My favorite! So excited to have an excuse to re-read her catalog! 4mo
KadaGul @Soubhiville I might not be able to get to the Authors until March. I am in few local Library 📚 reading 📖 challenges. They all will end in February. For March #JANEHARPER I'll have #DRYBYJANEHARPER 4mo
Soubhiville @KadaGul do you want to be added to the tag list? 4mo
KadaGul @Soubhiville Yes I want to because 5/12 I'm in local library challenges and then the rest i don't know 🤷‍♀️ what to read. This way I'll have little theme going on to fill in the gaps. If that's ok with you. 4mo
Andrew65 Going in for January with 4mo
