I laughed and also shed some tears listening to this memoir written by a therapist. The author explores five patients, including herself, and their different scenarios and viewpoints on life. It left me feeling a little better about humanity, which I appreciated.

Great audio narrator!

I‘m embarking on a journey into #russianliterature.

I haven‘t read a lot of #classics outside of the Bronte sisters, but I‘m at an age now where I‘m constantly asking myself questions about life, love, good/evil, morality, etc. So I‘m seeking out novels that wrestle with these questions.

I‘m starting with #thebrotherskaramazov and then plan to move on to #annakarenina 📚.

Any others you all recommend? Any advice or thoughts are welcome. ☺️

I only loved about 5 of the ones I read.

I have a few more of the top 100 on my tbr, but otherwise most of them haven‘t even been on my radar. 🤷‍♀️

I‘m in #SanDiego California for work and was able to go to this super cool local bookstore, Mysterious Galaxy.💫📚

They specialize in fantasy, sci-fi, YA, mystery, and horror. Awesome atmosphere and inventory, plus really great staff. They recommended the tagged book for those who like gothic haunting stories.

Oh, and you can‘t beat the views or the weather here. Wish I could stay longer!

This book has been on my #tbr for about two decades. Finally cracked the spine and, three chapters in, it‘s entertaining and depressing. I can‘t help but feel sorry for the traumatized, smart-mouthed pre-teen protagonist.

Looking at reviews, this seems to be a novel that people either love or hate. If you‘ve read it, did you love it or hate it?

1. My reading goal for 2024 is to read 40 books because I turned 40 this year. (I‘m currently at 36/40 🙌)

2. I‘m such a moody reader that I rarely stick to the plan lol. But I‘m totally okay with that.

3. It‘s opened my mind and heart, allowing me to better empathize with other people‘s experiences, perspectives, and challenges. Also, reading is just so much fun!
