I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

This amnesia story seemed to have an interesting premise, but it‘s dreadful. Clunky writing, completely obvious plot, and zero suspense. I will be avoiding this author in the future. Bindi says I should move on to a better book. Smart girl!
Kyra a marine biologist suffers memory loss after a diving accident.Luckily she has her devoted husband Jacob and a couple of friends to rely on to help her rebuild her memories whilst she recuperates. But things start feeling not quite right and Kyra starts to question her accident and her marriage to Jacob. Is everything a lie? Another great read from AJ Banner. Twisty and well written. Definitely one for the TBR list of domestic thriller fans.
There is one of those adorable little neighborhood libraries just around the corner from my house, and in the 4 years I've lived here I've never used it but wished I had. So today I was pretty excited because the dogs and walked down there and donated the book I just finished this morning! I figured why not? Maybe someone else will read it! I was actually surprised how full it was! Hopefully we have a neighborhood full of readers! 😃😊
My little book buddy is at helping me again! She is very good at keeping the pages warm for me. Because you know, no one likes it when their pages are cold in the book they are reading. Plus apparently books make exalent pillows don'tcha know? Lol 😆 😍💖 #dogsoflitsy
So I'm about 100 page in and it's kinda moving slow. 🐌
I'm hoping it starts picking up soon!! I'm hoping for some action or something to happen!!! 😊
In the same vein as S. J. Watson‘s Before I Go to Sleep, this page-turner has the reader questioning relationships and those who they trust. I did want more from the backstory, and there were a couple of things I thought could have been fleshed out because there were a few loose ends, but all-in-all a good read. A solid 3.5/5 stars.
I‘ve been spending my summer reading through Elin Hilderbrand‘s backlog and it‘s been wonderful. Taking a break from Nantucket for this quick thriller, which is my book club‘s August pick. Have you read it? What did you think?

#TBRtemptation post 1! 34-year-old marine biologist Kyra Winthrop has had a complex form of memory loss since a diving accident several years prior. Her life's narrowed to her husband, James, and a few close friends on the island where she lives. Is her life really as it seems? She experiences visions (memories?) of a rocky marriage, broken promises, and not-so-friendly friends. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😁
Took me a while to get into this one. Once I finally hunkered down, it was a very quick read. Plot on this one was pretty easy to guess right away and I didn‘t really feel like any of the characters were likable 🤷♀️ Probably would have bailed if I had got this at the library, but since I paid for it, I felt obligated to finish.
Lazy Sundays with a book & a pup are the best! Also, why do I keep picking amnesia books?! 📚🐶 #dogsoflitsy
Such a lovely spring day! Going to open all my windows and settle into this new read with fresh air & sunshine ☀️
Marine biologist Kyra Winthrop remembers nothing about the diving accident that left her with a form of memory loss. With only brief flashes of the last few years of her life, her world has narrowed to a few close friendships on the island where she lives with her husband, Jacob.
But Kyra begins to have visions--or are they memories?-- a rocky marriage, broken promises, and cryptic relationships with the island residents.
It was an enjoyable and even thrilling read. A total rip-off of Before I Go to Sleep. That helped me predict the twist. I would read more from this author. I listened to the audiobook. Didn‘t like how the therapist in this book suggested a patient stop taking her medication. Wish there was a rating between Pick and So-So.
This was a story about a woman who gets in a diving accident and can‘t remember the last 4 years of her life. It was an ok read, but I knew who the bad guy was right from the beginning. The premise was interesting but it could have been executed better.
This book was just ok. I finished this one a few weeks ago and although it kept me reading, it was not the most memorable or interesting read. Overall, just so-so for me.
Another one finished. I liked the description and atmosphere created here although there wasn't as much mystery. I still enjoyed it.
Starting a new book this evening! It's very cold and rainy down here in the south.
After months of not being able to read, I finally have some time! I‘m hoping I can finish this before the loan wears out from the library. Very intrigued so far!
A couple of my favorite evening activities...a little crocheting while reading.
The Twilight Wife is a quick and exciting thriller about Kyra Winthrop, who lost her memory of the last four years as the result of a diving accident. She can't remember falling in love with her doting husband, moving to the island where they live together or the places and people around her. But as bits of her memory begin to come back to her, she realizes that something about her "perfect" life is off, and she struggles to figure out what it is.
Sooooo glad I stuck with this book. An easy, enjoyable read whose twist was as great as other reviews promised.
I don't remember the details of a review I saw that made me want to read this but I'm doubting my decision to do so. The story seems interesting enough but to keep with it means to ignore the simple, obvious writing. 😒
I thought this book was soooo good! Loved the setting on an island and all the beach and ocean life descriptions. The suspense and mystery of the story kept me engaged while I listened to the audio. 🏝🛥🌊🐬🐚🐋
This short little book was just the right amount of creepy and engaging to keep me hooked the whole time. It had a really solid sense of place that made me feel like I was on the beach with her, all confused and scared. Really liked all the twists and would definitely recommend it!
Beautiful descriptions of the scenery, really made me feel like I was there! Good plot with a super twisty twist at the end 💕
Great psychological thriller! After a diving accident leaves Kyra with few memories of the years preceding it, her devoted husband is there to protect and comfort her. But as flashes of her past begin to surface, images don't add up and paranoia sets in. Who can she trust? Nicely intricate plot, many twists and turns. What would you do to protect a relationship? Read it and see!😍😍😍
Holy twisty turns Batman! This book is amazing!! Def recommend this! You won't see it coming!
This ones sounds interesting. Anyone read this?
My over ambitious weekend TBR. Almost done with the Twilight Wife.
#BookMail from a Goodreads win. Thanks, @SimonSchuster Canada!
This is a good Sunday night. 🤓
This one is squarely between a pick and a so-so for me, mainly because there is a therapist character that contributes nothing to the story and should have been written out (see previous post). In fact, this psychological thriller is really one revision away from being wonderful. That said, it is a very quick read with a satisfying conclusion. Thanks to @TouchstoneBooks for the ARC! #Septimus #catsofLitsy
Does anyone else think it is really ill-advised for anyone to just stop taking prescribed anti-anxiety medications? And what reputable therapist would EVER say, oh yes, of course you were right to just stop?!?
Starting this psychological thriller with my faithful reading companion asleep on my lap #Septimus #catsofLitsy #lazySunday
Easy, fast paced read. I wouldn't say it's something that I would recommend to people that they have to read, but if they are looking for a good overall book, this is it!
Thank you again to @TouchstoneBooks for my ARC! Follow them for more possible Advanced Reader Copies! This was a good, quick read. You can pretty much guess the basic premise, but not why or how it really occurred. And the antagonist is definitely one that creeps me out because I have had run-ins with that type and it really is strange to think that some people have that kind of logic. Overall, worth it for such a short book. 🤘
This book was a light, mostly interesting read. Had I been able to feel more connected to Kyra I would have found this more compelling. I would consider this a palate cleanser or beach read. It reads quickly, but there are no real surprises.
While I didn't like it as much as I'd hoped, it was fun to win the contest and get a chance to try it out.
Since I had to go back to work, I made sure to take a break and read. I started this before New Year's Eve. It's pretty interesting, even if there are far too many dreams involved. I'm hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow. It reads quickly and has me daydreaming about the Pacific Northwest.
TY @TouchstoneBooks for the contest! I'm so glad I won. 🤗
Next up!
This was my #lastbookstacked because of a positive review here on #litsy #seasonsreadings2016
I received an eARC from Touchstone via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I never saw that twist coming, & enjoyed the plot turns, but the book felt too short overall. While the ending was good, I did enjoy it, it felt rushed & uneven. All in all, this is a great, smart thriller with a surprise that I didn‘t see coming, & I did enjoy it.
Starting on this one today! It looks like it should a quick ans exciting read! #thetwilightwife #christmasvacationreadathon
I'm feeling really congested (coughing a lot too) and am having trouble deciding what should be my next read... #bookishproblems
