Love my Halloween kitty #scarathlon #photochallenge #black
Our October 1st tradition is to have chili (even though it‘s 90 degrees outside) and watch Hocus Pocus. I‘ve seen this movie so many times, I have it memorized. Happy October Littens! #HHC #scarathlon #halloweenbucketlist
And here is my watch list. Stopped at 5 because most of these are multiple movies, and I don‘t have a lot of time to watch tv/movies anymore #scarathlon #hhc
I‘m behind on all the things, so beware of all my posts today 🎃 Here is my #bookspin list, which also acts as my #tbr for #scarathlon! #HHC
Listening to the ocean while reading a book. There‘s truly nothing better
This was my pick for #authoramonth for March. I‘ve always wanted to read Grapes of Wrath but I had so many other books I wanted to get to in March that I chose this one. O how I wish I could have enjoyed it more. It just wasn‘t for me.
Running so very behind on my postings lately. Be ware of the massive amount of reviews I will be posting today for all of March 😬😂 #bookspin #doublespin #bookspinbingo
I‘m very behind on posting my reviews! This was one of my #roll100 and #readyourtbr books for February. It was decent. I really thought baking plus mystery would be a good recipe (see what I did there!?) but it was lacking. Glad to finally have read it though!
Sometimes it‘s really great just to feel like you‘re dropping in on a family and reading about their lives. No mystery to solve, no gigantic love triangle. Just a book about #3generations of a family. A really great read! #booked2023 #roll100
A book set in the 1950s about a man who won‘t let anything or anyone get in the way of what he wants. This was a #roll100 pick and had been on my shelf for a long time. Looking forward to continuing the series for #serieslove2023 and #192025
I love TJR. I managed to miss reading this one when it first came out. I read Carrie Soto last year, so this helped me understand that book a little better. I was so glad when I saw it on my #auldlangspine list. I love the time periods, the characters, just everything. Another great one by one of my favorite authors #authoramonth #bookspin
Usually I‘m a life‘s too short to read bad books, but this one was for my book club. I just kept thinking there had to be more. Some sort of plot twist, or bigger reveal than what actually happened. However, I do believe it will bring some good discussion at book club #booked2023 #newin2023
Late on posting but this was one of my January #roll100 books. I‘ve owned some of the books in this series for years, but my mom finally bought me a copy of the first one. I‘m looking to fill the void that is Kinsey Millhone because I read that entire series last year and I feel like my best friend is missing. This was a solid start to a series. Looking forward to more #serieslove2023 #booked2023 #gifted
What a great ending to a great series! Really glad I decided to stick with it and finish the series instead of waiting as long as I did between book 1 and 2. Thanks to #readyourtbr and #serieslove2023 for the push to get it done!
Loved this one! This is only my second Mary Higgins Clark book and I know I‘m going to need to read more. Kept me guessing until about 3/4 of the way through. I put this one on my tbr six years ago #roll100 #booked2023 #wronglyincarcerated
#weirderthanexpected but in such a good way! I was slow to start this one because I felt lost at first, but I‘m so glad I stuck with it! I loved the Harry Potter vibes but it definitely had its own voice. Another great one for #auldlangspine #booked2023#serieslove2023
I forgot how much I loved this series! I‘ve been meaning to complete it but never got around to it, but thanks to #bookspin and #readyourtbr I finally got it done and have already started the third book. Also using this one for #aboutapandemic #serieslove2023
Finished my first #roll100 book and it was so good! I put this on my tbr nine years ago when I first watched the show. It‘s been long enough that I can only remember big details from the show, so I don‘t feel let down by either the book or show not living up to the other one. I feel the book gave more insight into Dexter than the show, which is great. Can‘t wait to read more! #serieslove2023 #ispybingo #hand #booked2023 #propernoun
My first #AuldLangSpine read and it was a great start. Can‘t wait to read the rest of the series! Witches, princes of hell, demons, romance, and murder all rolled up into one book. #ispybingo #leaf #bookchain
This is my first #authoramonth read. I really wanted to love this book, and some parts really did make my ears perk up, but overall, it just wasn‘t my favorite. I may have been better served reading it instead of listening to it as well #bookspin #bookchain
I stumbled upon a coworker reading the second book in this series and told her I was anxiously awaiting the new year for my #AuldLangSpine challenge to start, so I could read this book. She let me borrow her copy, so I‘m kicking off the new year with book and some delicious coffee (my favorite drink)
Here is my physical stockpile for #AuldLangSpine. @ShelleyBooksie I‘m looking forward to reading all of these! My goal is to read the whole list through the year, but I‘ll get the most done starting tomorrow! I‘ve already read Apples Never Fall when I came out and loved it! Can‘t wait for tomorrow!
And with that, I have way exceed my reading expectations for the year and hit 100 books. This was a great book to finish off the year. I haven‘t read a lot of books set during WWII, but this was a really great one #winterreadathon
Merry Christmas Littens! Finished my last Christmas romance today and it was a good one. I‘ll have to check out the movie next year. Hope everyone had a wonderful day today! #winterreadathon #bookspin
There was so much hype around this book last year that I was nervous it wouldn‘t be as good as everyone said it was. I actually really enjoyed it! A good holiday romance that gave me more information about a holiday other than Christmas. #winterreadathon
And with that, I‘ve finished the #19822022 challenge! Our of all of the books I read for it, this is the only one I didn‘t love. I lost count of how many times I rolled my eyes, which is surprising because I‘ve enjoyed all of her Christmas books I‘ve read. Also, I don‘t really know why this one is considered a Christmas one because except for a Christmas party in the beginning, there is no other mention if it #winterreadathon
I picked this one up on a whim because the book I had chosen for #2006 for #19822022 challenge was actually published in 2005. I didn‘t realize this was part of a series and I probably would have liked it even more if I had read the other books. There‘s a little bit of mystery, romance, laughter and a whole lot of Christmas! Short, fast read! #winterreadathon
It‘s rare when I come to a boom in a series that I‘m reading that actually falls during Christmas. I love this series. I read the first two when I was in high school, but never made it to the third book. I‘ve now reread book one and two and am anxiously awaiting the new year to finally read book three. A truly magical series! #winterreadathon
I continue to love these two characters! There were definitely times I felt I needed to slap some sense in to them, but I remember acting the same way in high school, so it works. Another great YA holiday romance that was just as good as the first one in this series! #winterreadathon
A solid YA holiday romance novel. My favorite part was that she had a blog dedicated to books! The book is set in a town that is all about Christmas that even had a Christmas movie filmed there. Another book added to my #Winterreadathon challenge!
A perfect holiday read! Besides participating in #Winterreadathon, I‘m participating in the Reindeer readathon on Twitter. I‘m definitely using this one for my favorite trope prompt. It made me laugh and gave me all the warm, fuzzy feelings you need during the holidays!
“Candles burnin‘ low. Lots of mistletoe.” I have candles for every season and love that I get to break out my Christmas during this time of year #winterreadathondailychallenge
The best way to kick off the Christmas season. I love the book. I love the movie. It makes me laugh and brings me so much joy. #winterreadathon #19822022 #2001
Here‘s my girl in her Christmas pjs by our Christmas tree with our dog Bullet. He usually stays at my in-laws but stays with when they are out of town. My daughter has already asked for a puppy for Christmas 🤦🏼♀️ #winterreadathondailychallenge
Not quite done with decorating because we‘ve had a lot going on this week, but here is my Christmas tree for #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge !
Well I did it. I set out to listen to this entire series this year and I‘m done! I so thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series. Kinsey now feels like part of my family (even though she wants nothing to do with her found families) and I‘m sad the series has come to an end. With that being said, I‘ve been terrible about posting this year, but most of these books made it on to my #19822022 challenge list
This one just didn‘t do it for me. I didn‘t really like the characters from the beginning and the ending felt rushed. It was a quick read though. I just wanted more! #192025 #2021 @Librarybelle
I was an absolute terrible poster during #scarathlon (really all year), but I did get plenty read and wound up with 20,498 points for #teammonstermash. Even though I didn‘t get to participate as much as I wanted this year, I always love how this event pushes me to read more during the month of October!
Here‘s my #bookspin, #doublespin, and #bookspinbingo books. It‘s doing double duty for my early bird points for #scarathlon2022 and #teammonstermash. I‘ve been on and off Litsy all year, so I‘m super excited to jump back in for this!
I really wanted to love this one. I had never heard of Elizabeth Blackwell (the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States), so I thought I would be so interested in this book. I just found it hard to keep picking it up. The Information was good, but something was missing #aboutsisters #booked2022
Anyone else in DAR or love looking into their family history? I gave my patriot story this year and he fought in the Battle of Kings Mountain. I‘ve never read a book that mentioned a battle that I know my ancestor fought in. I love this series and am so excited to continue reading this book to see how the battle fits in to Jaime and Claire‘s story
Need a fast, hilarious, mystery series to read? This one is fantastic and all 5 books are included in your audible membership. Henry Bins is only awake an hour a day and in the first book, he witnesses a murder that he must solve. He develops a laugh out loud relationship with a cat and works to solve a mystery with only an hour a day. Can‘t wait for the next book this summer! #19822022 #2013 #2014 #2015 #2016 #doublespin #february
So for the #19822022 challenge I decided to finally read the A is for Alibi series! I am absolutely loving them! I love Kinsey‘s attitude and the cases she solves. It‘s a great series so far and I‘m so glad I‘ve started finally. My library does a tailored titles every weekand when I put this series on there, they suggested One for the Money, which I‘ve loved for years, so this series is a perfect fit! #1982 #1985 #1986 #1987
I‘ve been a little absent from Litsy lately but I promise I‘m still reading and working though some of my reading challenges. Hoping to post some reviews this weekend. Kicking of the weekend reading outside while my daughter plays in her new playhouse. I do love springtime!
This weekend is all about staying inside and getting house projects done. We‘ve been on the go since the summer it feels like, so it‘s time to have some quiet weekends at home. Looking at making a dent in this one and attempting to finish my audiobook (The Right to Arm Bears) while working on the house projects #weekendreading
