Is anyone else suddenly having difficulties reading? Enjoying a book? Concentrating?
In the middle of a very good book I suddenly lost interest. I have a feeling it wasn‘t the fault of the author. 😟

I found this sign in the little town square of Lewisburg, West Virginia and found it fascinating. What would be the one book you would keep? I think I would keep a sweeping saga like Gone With the Wind, Thornbirds, Dr. Zhivago, or Lonesome Dove.

Hubby‘s Penn State alumni magazine came in today‘s mail, and I‘m in love with the cover article. Faculty from a variety of disciplines share the best book they‘ve read this year, perfect beach read, books they‘ve been meaning to read, obscure authors they‘d recommend, and guilty pleasure books. So much fun, and what a great idea.

However, The Librarian of Auschwitz has been on my TBR forever, so choose I must! My all-time is probably Matilda by Roald Dahl, and since I‘m not home to take a picture of my well-loved book, here is a pic of some fantastic chalk art from last summer. So THE tough question... when you think of the best book you EVER read what comes to mind? Wait - NO "classics" like To Kill a Mockingbird. And no Harry Potter lol. Ooooh ouch. I have several but I'll go with 11/23/63 by Stephen King. It was riveting and weird and all kinds of intriguing. A book that has stayed with me a looooong time.
