Second time read for me so I can approach the entire series. Still doesn‘t hold a candle to Fourth Wing IMO, but it‘s fine! Not a huge Fae fan, and I find they are so vague in this series that I feel like I‘m an oblivious dunce who tried to sneak into a private event. I hope the rest of the books have more complex character and relationship development.

It's Carnival weekend and we've been on the carnival parade. The time when I finally get to dress up as my favourite fantasy character. I haven't found the bat wings. But I did find spring coloured wings and fairy ears. So, this weekend I'm a fairy from the Spring Court. It matters that I belong to the world of ACOTAR.🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️
Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring.

maich And Leja chooses a different character every day. Yesterday a fairy, today Wednesday, day before yesterday an Indian (she made her costume at the workshop in the library)... by Tuesday, when the carnival is over, she will have another idea.😆 The doughnut ('krof' in slovenian) is a traditional carnival dessert. Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring. 1w

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR The end of the book was definitely intense. I‘ve got the hots for Rhys now - I gotta admit. He fought for Feyre and tried to help her - more so than Tamlin I think. But Feyre, after her trauma - is with Tamlin. In love and HFN. Let‘s face it - she is not ok with what happened. This girl is scarred. She‘ll need to heal. ⬇️

StayCurious Will Tamlin help with that or will it be her weeks with Rhys that help her? This is definitely love triangle material - which I normally hate in romance but in this case I‘m here for it. Bring it on! I will post a schedule for Book 2 soon for those who are interested. 2w

mcctrish The reels on FB were so focussed on Rhys that I read to the end ahead of schedule so I wouldn‘t get anymore spoilers. I was gobsmacked Feyre and Tamlin left together🤯 Rhys‘ explanation made sense to me re: what he did but I‘m not 100% team Tamlin considering how much manipulation went into pulling Feyre‘s strings to get her to break the curse. Rhys manipulated Feyre too it feels more helpful and less emotional #bringonbook2 2w

She didn‘t want to see him as decent (and why would she, he‘s kind of a jerk) but maybe he has people and things to protect as well. Everyone in Prythian is under a terrible weight and they need the witch queen dead. ⬇️

StayCurious Can Feyre survive her 3rd task, release Tamlin from the curse, set his powers free, and watch as Amanrantha is destroyed? Even if all that were to miraculously happen, will Feyre and Tamlin get their HEA or will Rhysand stand in the way? 2w

CrowCAH I like how he‘s helping her. But what I didn‘t like is that of all the tasks, the second was the only one she didn‘t complete/solve herself. (I read the book a couple months ago and joined this discussion.) 2w

maich I was mad at myself. I watched some acotar fan made tiktok video and then tiktok started showing me that kind of videos and they weren't spoiler free. The last part of the book was amazing. 2w

I‘m not much of a fantasy/romantasy girl, but I did enjoy this! With all the hype surrounding this series, I‘m glad I finally read it because I was so curious about all the hype. I think it lived up to it! Great world-building, plenty of tension, and some spice! I‘d definitely be up to continuing the series.

What is he really up to? I‘m disappointed that Tamlin seems to have just given up. He needs to do something - I don‘t like how submissive he‘s become. As we head intro this next task, will Feyre survive? Or need Rhys‘ costly help once more?

We finally learn what‘s actually happening in Prythian - and it all comes down to one evil lady. Who happens to have the hots for Tamlin. Feyre knows she has to try to save him, and everyone else. Or die trying. ⬇️

StayCurious When she gets to Under the Mountain it‘s like that scene in Star Wars with Jabba the Hutt. Only Tamlin is Princess Leia, bound to the side of the villain, except sans gold bikini. Feyre strikes a deadly bargain to complete 3 tasks or solve a riddle in order to save him. But will she survive long enough? 2w

I had heard so many things about this series so was keen to read the first book as part of #litsylovesromance.
Magical lands, violence, adventure, beasts, faerie‘s - there was so much going on and that doesn‘t include the romance. The relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was swoon worthy .
A seductive, adventure that the author detailed perfectly. I can‘t wait to read the next one.

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.25,26,27: A lot happened in these chapters but mainly we‘ll focus on Rhysand, the dark High Lord linked to the *she* we‘ve been afraid of. Yeah, he seems like a jerk but he knows what‘s going on. Tamlin is still keeping things from Feyre - to protect her or himself and his realm? Can he really send her home? Will she leave her newfound home now that she finally feels comfortable there? She might not have a choice. ⬇️

StayCurious It seems as though things are crumbling around Tamlin and the spring court and Feyre may be his weakness and his downfall. Unless she‘s like the key to everything. So many unanswered questions! 3w

It‘s hard to believe that he would send her back to the awful life she had before. But yet, he wants to keep her safe…I still feel like Feyre is the key to something. IDK how or what, though. She lands in such dangerous situations. ⬇️

StayCurious If that handsome stranger hadn‘t been there…and who is he and where is he from? I‘m sure we haven‘t seen the end of him. And then Feyre has that run in with Tamlin after Lucien tells her what the Rite is. I got an ick feeling that he was with someone else that night and then comes to Feyre with hopes of what? I dunno. My gut isn‘t rooting for these two as much as it was. Even if Feyre is drawn to him. 3w

I picked up this book for a Litsy read along and it was so good I couldn‘t just read 2 chapters a day. I now know why Romantasy is such a popular new genre. It‘s romance with a thrilling, action packed B-storyline. This story felt like a beauty and the beast spin off, which made me enjoy it more. It also had a little Psyche trials of proving her love of Eros to Aphrodite spin too. I love that particular Greek myth. So, all in all I‘d recommend it!

They aren‘t all the vicious creatures she was warned about - although there do seem to be a lot of dangers in The Spring Court. And who is this terrible lady faerie we keep hearing whispers about? Tamlin seems to be trying more with Feyre. ⬇️

StayCurious He offers to help her write, he reassures her about her family‘s welfare, he brings her to a starlight glen cough cough aka Twilight Meadow) - for Feyre this is akin to Beast giving Belle a library. The man is working hard. But what does he really want from her? 3w

If this were my book, I‘d be luxuriating in baths, food and the library and just avoiding all that danger- it‘d be very boring haha. But that‘s not who Feyre is. She likes to test boundaries. She‘s still working for her family even when she‘s away from them. ⬇️

StayCurious Hoping to save them from the blight. Will she listen to the Suriel‘s advice and stay close to Tamlin or did it perhaps mean a different High Lord? Is Tamlin her future? Will he keep her safe when he seems to be losing control of his lands? Or is she the key perhaps to changing things? So many questions. 3w

But Renee, I think you‘re right about Feyre being the key…I just don‘t know to what. And is this just me, or is anyone else shipping Tamlin and Feyre already? Tamlin and Lucien are worried and Feyre hates being in the dark. She‘s brave for digging and asking the questions she does. I wouldn‘t have the guts. But where does she fit in? Is there another reason Tamlin brought her there? Why is he running out of time?

She disses Tamlin when he offers her a tour (brave or dumb) and seeks out the foxy Lucien to get him to plead her case with Tamlin. She should have just played nice with Tamlin in hopes of doing it herself - but what do I know. But Lucien sees right through her plan and basically puts a stop to it. ⬇️

This whole “I promised my mother“ doesn't feel like strong enough motivation for how desperate she is to escape so she can be malnourished, cold, and get back to the people who treat her like garbage. 4w

I hate her family - I feel bad that Feyre (pronounced Fair-ruh) is taking care of them and feels bound to them and bound to her terrible existence. They‘re useless. I said it. But A promise is a promise and Feyre made a serious one to her mother - ⬇️

StayCurious probably because the woman realized they would die without help. I appreciated the world building the author did - I‘m interested to see where this is going, especially considering how Ch.3 ended. I think we can all agree that Feyre is meant for more than this life. 1mo

I didn't find this the addictive, compulsive page turner everyone said it was. I found it VERY tedious in the middle but it picked up when Rhysand was introduced. I hope the rest of the series picks up as this was just a Beauty and the Beast retelling 🤣

I am, however, getting strange vibes from Tamlin... so I will finish the series and hope it grips me!

LMJenkins I enjoyed it! When I read it, it was not my typical genre, but it really sucked me in and what can I say? It was a pleasure to read it. Best literature, I‘ve ever read, no. But that doesn‘t matter. I had fun and it was a fantasy and I liked it. 1mo

Butterfinger I'm not one who likes graphic spicy scenes, so i usually only read YA fantasy.. There's a lot of spice, but I love the characters. I never thought I would cry while reading a fantasy, BUT I bawled during the very last book of the series. 1mo

Last book of 2024! I did like it, but didn‘t love it. I‘ve heard the second one is amazing so I‘ll give it a go! I did enjoy the last 100 pages or so the most!

I started this on my Kindle awhile ago, and for some reason, it just didn‘t grab me right away - I must not have been in the mood for it. I know it‘s such a beloved series, so I thought I would give it another try with the dramatized adaptation audiobooks. I can understand the appeal and the potential - I imagine the rest of the books in the series will only get better now that the story is set up. 🎧

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and started this series. Full of tropes - unreasonably feisty heroine, good at hunting with a bow, pretty enough but fairly ordinary except for her feistiness, is sentenced to fairyland a la Beauty and the Beast. Incredibly hot male fairies find her irresistibly attractive. She has to save the fairy realm against impossible odds using cunning and bravery. The fresh writing made it all enjoyable. On to book 2!
