In February we head out into the wild seas and against all rational advice we search for pirates. 🏴☠️
Q1. How is the Tudor times going?
I read Dissolution and loved it. Cromwell made an appearance.
Q2. Do you have a book in mind yet for Pirates?
I‘m bringing a list to the library, Libby.
Answers in the comments. As always, everyone is welcome.

I have been mostly off the grid due to school and a wild weekend moving Con (and three of his friends) to a new place to live this weekend. I wish I had read this book in one or two sittings, I think I would have enjoyed it better. The story of a cult based on a remote Scottish island. Because I read it in fits and starts, I often found it difficult to follow. It wasn‘t the page-turner The Last House on Needless St. Was, but still good.

The questioning of Katerina Ivanovna began. As soon as she made her appearance there was an unusual stir in the chamber. The ladies seized their lorgnettes and opera-glasses, the men began to show some signs of life, and several stood up in order to see better. Everyone subsequently asserted that Mitya had gone ‘as white as a sheet‘ as soon as she came in.

(2019) I've reached a point where animal stories are a comfort genre, and these filled that Rx. I expected a book of odd vet stories, but got a variety, including insights into the business of veterinary practice, pet medical care 101 (including tips on pilling your cat and reading dog poop), and yes odd vet stories. Speaking of which: on the left is a sad boy who chewed his dewclaw off (because dog) so is seeing a vet in the morning.
