Happy Spooky Season everyone! 👻 If you were tagged in this post, you are on #TeamSlaughter for this years #Scarathlon event! Woohoo! I will be your team captain, so please don‘t hesitate to reach out to me on her or by email clwojick@live.com if you have any questions. Please read below, for a few need to know basics, and expect to be tagged in more posts as the event gets nearer!

Clwojick As many of you know, the main goal of the event is to compete against @StayCurious and her group #TeamMonsterMash, by collecting points in a various of ways, including weekly games, reading, watching spooky movies, and an assortment of activities. These are all OPTIONAL. Feel free to post and participate as much as you are comfortable or able to. Just remember the more you participate, the more points you gain. 2y

Clwojick 2.) As with previous years, you are in charge of keeping track and posting your own points. Please make sure you tag me with your weekly points, otherwise they will not be counted. Point Breakdown, and Posting Schedule to be posted soon. 2y

Clwojick 3.) I feel like this goes without saying and is generally not needed for this platform, but please be respectful and kind to all players. If you break this rule you will be removed from this event, and banned from all future events. NO EXCEPTIONS. We created this event to spread some spooky joy! Please keep it fun for everyone. 2y

Clwojick 4.) As you can see above, I am continuing the tradition of #TeamSlaughter by choosing a Karin Slaughter book for one of the #TeamBuddyReads. Her books do tend to be dark, and descriptive, so please do your research if you have any triggers. You can also choose to read ANY of the books in the Hannah Swensen Cozy Mystery series by Joanna Fluke. I‘ve chosen the first in the series as the official buddy read, but any count. 2y

Clwojick 5.) Now I‘ve chosen what I consider to be a classic for our #TeamMovie. SCREAM! You can either watch the original from the 90s, or the new 2022 movie! 2y

Also, points per short story? I wasn't sure if they were fewer points than for a regular length book. Thanks in advance. 🎃🙂 2y

Clwojick @ann_reads Picture books count the same, and short story collections are goldmines, since each story counts for individual points. (Ex if you finish a collection with 10 Halloween stories in it, the points would be 10books x 25 points =250 points! 2y

hes7 Hey @Clwojick maybe you already answered this, but how many of the Hannah Swensen books count for 50pts? If I were to read 5 of them, would they be 50 each? Or just one for 50 and the rest would be genre points? 2y
