It is a beautiful story, though some part felt sad. I am not a horse person, but I love to read about these beautiful creatures. I especially like the vivid geographical descriptions in the book and illustrations. Thank you for selecting this book for #childrensclassicread2024 @thebookhippie 😍 😻 😻
I read it for the first time. I had no clue that the story was connected to India. Though it is hard to think about the colonialism, racism, and aftermath I admire the author's appropriate incorporation of historical events. I just finished this book and now enjoying reading the discussion. Thank you for hosting #noplacelikeHolmes @dabbe and @Cuilin
Spooky and dark for a children's book but enjoyable to read. Though it is predictable, the storytelling is gripping and funny. It is about the life of four extraordinary kids who solve a murder mystery. It is about being unique and blending into the team. I enjoyed reading the series of unfortunate events and looking for a similar series, and here it is. 😻 #serieslove2024 #bookspinbingo @TheSpineview
Beautifully written book on a unique subject. I was unaware of most of the political and economic things of indigo dye making. I learned so much from this book, I also read about the real indigo lady on whom this book is based. It is a treat for historical fiction lovers and those who love headstrong female MCs. First five star for this year. 5 🌟

I like Ng's proses and her subtle tone. The main focus of the book is on family relationships and how once actions affect others emotions. So many things to learn as a parent, so many things to remember as kids. Overall a good read. If you like Little fires everywhere you may like this one as well.4.5⭐ my best read of #January #2024
Hello, my Litsy fam! Wish you all a happy new year. In the past year, I changed my job, and my husband got transferred to another city and so much more happened. My apologies to you all I was not able to connect with Litsy often, and I didn't reply to your messages and tags. However, I am back again and will continue my reading journey with you all. Happy reading!
I enjoyed reading this one with amazing #naturalitsy group. I went for hiking to this beautiful place . It was previously owned by a mining company, which was closed in 2006 to conserve nature. Now it is a part of reserve forest, with restricted entry and open only for hiking. It is a UNESCO heritage site. I just finished the tagged book , will write review after the discussion with my fellow littens. A spl thanks to @AllDebooks
It was a good read , I can‘t say it‘s the best. I like Alcott‘s other works. It started off very nicely , but in the mid way I felt it dragged a bit. And I dint like the animal abuse part in children book, it‘s hard to read. But overall it‘s a good story I switched to audio and enjoyed it. I like happy endings 🥰 #childrenclassicread2023
This is a small town murder mystery but written wonderfully in a unique manner. Loved it! The work is detailed with twisty plots. I couldn‘t stop reading it so switched to audio. I am going to read other books of this series . 4.5🌟
This was my #May #bookspin #bookspinbingo #serieslove2023
Here is my list for #bookspinbingo #May. Really want to catch up with my reading and finish off few books which I started in April .
Have a great reading month everyone !
April was not bad after all. I finished both my #bookspin & #doublespin and finished a series for #serieslove2023 Tagged one is my favourite from #April. I am yet to finish the last two books, wilding and #foodandlit book Good true Thai. Looking forward for a productive #May .
I have general interest in birds, everyday I feed wild sparrows in my balcony and try to identify birds whenever I travel. But this book is exquisite , and beyond imagination. These are the true anecdotes from the author‘s life. It shed a light on different aspects of bird watching, hunting and love for nature. Short but intense one 5🌟 #doublespin #bookspinbingo #nonfiction2023 #naturalitsybingo #birds
Beautifully written , an interesting concept. It depicts the life without emotions, and what happens if emotions go wrong. Short book but dense to read.4🌟#bookspinbingo
For sometime I was reading slump so I picked this YA mystery which is not my usual genre. But this is very good and interesting, I immediately started the next one in the series. If you like A good girl‘s guide to murder series I recommend this one too.Similar series recommendations are always welcome .😇🙏 #serieslove2023 #bookspinbingo #April 5🌟
This book is about three strong women set in three different time period. All these ladies have strong connection to nature n some magic. It contains pains of the centuries! which is difficult to read. It has all the things which I like in a story like strong female characters, beautiful description of nature, history, different time line, love of books and what not! Only thing I felt is it is slow paced read for me. #bookspinbingo #naturalitsy
Well it was a quick read, simple and expected story line. But I couldn‘t connect to it. I felt it is ok read, and well written. Apparently second one in this series is too good. So I am going to read the next one 😃 This audio version is just brilliant. 3.5 🌟#bookspin #bookspinbingo #serieslove2023
This photo is from my mom‘s garden. For some reason whenever I take a walk there I remember this book title 🌹😅😬
I started to read this tagged book for #foodandlit #thailand This book started with the above quote. I felt it is an interesting quote. Don‘t know what to expect from this book.Let‘s see !
From last 2 months I am not able to complete my #bookspin bingo and not able to post regularly on Litsy too 🥺 though I m reading few books it‘s not organised. So I am hoping to start fresh from April , and to keep more focused and organised. Here is my #bookspinbingo list . Happy reading everyone!
Loved it! Beautiful & heartbreaking. At times I felt it is slow paced. But brilliant ending. Enjoyed it in the audio. 4.5☀️
Reading this book is just like watching a movie. Graphical intense and emotional . I enjoyed reading it. Thanks to @Soubhiville #AAM #authoramonth2023 #february I am sure I read the other books from the author.
Really enjoyed this unique plot with all its drug discovery research aspects. This is a journey amidst Amazon forest with all the wonders & dangers where both self discovery & drug discovery goes hand in hand. I like the characterisation & intricate details ( ignoring some science facts, as it is fiction) This is my first 5 star read of the year 🥰😊😀
This was my fav January read. Already one week passed in Feb I am still finishing my books from last month😬 This book is light hearted, feel good read I like all the characters. I like those details about audiobook production. Perfect book to listen to during this valentines month🥰 4⭐️
I enjoyed this audiobook. It was better than under the whispering door. Splendid mixture of fantasy, reality & cute characters . I like the overall message of this book about prejudices. It started off very well but later dragged a bit. Ending is just fine. Great Audio narration. 4⭐️#bookspinbingo
Perfect book to get the vibe of holiday season. Such a heartwarming story set in Edinburg. every year I make sure that I read one of Jenny Colgan‘s book 😬🥰 First time I came across Dendrologist as a fictional character in the book. Such a fancy idea 😇 I hope all my #Naturalitsy friends adore such characters.

Last month of the year. My plan is to finish all my unfinished challenges of 22 and setting new challenges for 23 😅 Anyway for me this is the best part of the year 🥰 wish you all a fun filled cozy winter days 😇. Happy reading! #bookspinbingo #bookspin
The last day for #foodandlit #India. Sharing some interesting breakfast from south India. 1. Masal Dosa: I m from a small coastal town of Karnataka state where they first tried this type of dosa ( using rice & lentil batter potato curry) The detailed recipe is mentioned in the tagged book. 2. Paddu: using the same dosa batter in a different type of pan. It is loaded with veggies, not spicy & kids fav. 3. Poori & alu gobi. 4.Idli, sambar & chutney.
Another classic fun read discovered only cos of #childrensclassicread2022 it is heartwarming, cute story. It is now my daughter‘s fav bedtime story. Thank you @TheBookHippie ❤️💐😻
An interesting book cos of multiple POV & diverse characters. I really enjoyed this one even though it doesn‘t feel like a thriller / detective one. Few details & events felt unnecessary but crafting of the story is brilliant. And I loved that name Saffron 🧡 one must read this for the writing style, crisp proses & vivid characters. 4.5⭐️ this was my Nov #bookspin #bookspinbingo
It‘s b/n pick & so-so. I like this cos of Strong female characters & story depicts the parallel medicinal approach of both Ayurveda & western medicine. But it could ve included other interesting historical events connected to the plot. There were few prejudices in d conversations which I didn‘t like. Good story but it felt less historical to me 3⭐️In d story MC is good at creating mandalas. This pic was taken in a temple last week. #foodandlit
India celebrates Children's Day on Nov 14 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. this day reminds me of two things which I like to share, i, e creating a better world for our future generation, & to be a child at heart 🥰 wish you all a happy children‘s day 🥰 Tagged 1 is probably the first book I read in Eng, which reminds me of my childhood. Which is yours? #foodandLit #India
This book reminded me of my fav quote by our late president Abdul Kalam sir, “if you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun”. It is brutally honest memoir. It tells the story of actual suffering & burning behind the glittering life of the Actress. motivating & inspiring. Of course, I enjoyed the #audio #memoir 4.5⭐️

What a fantastic book ! Much needed positive dose for my disastrous week 😰 a must read book for anyone & everyone. #nonfictionnovember #nonfiction2022 #bookspinbingo
Well I don‘t know what to say about this book. This is a difficult read, need a right frame of mind. About loss& hope. A time travel to vivid memory of pandemic as well as to the future( which is scary 😧 ) . Discrete chapters, compelling characters (esp like the first few ones). Although the ending is perfect I felt few chapters ended abruptly. Overall an unique read . 4⭐️#bookspinbingo
In India, this month we celebrate various festivals of lights starting from Diwali. Yesterday one such small festival was there, where we worship holy basil ( Tulsi plant). This plant is considered to be auspicious & kept in every Hindu households. Plant is widely used in making herbal tea & has medicinal importance in Ayurveda. The speciality of these festival is we decorate using flowers & earthen lamps. #foodandlit #India
I haven‘t seen much of Shonda Rhimes‘ shows still I could enjoy this one. I could totally imagine the struggles of an introvert ! The best part of the book is author giving a speech in the presence of powerful women peers. strong & uplifting. Audio narration was too fast esp during her speeches, otherwise great narration. I can say it as Interesting & inspiring. 4.5⭐️ #nonfictionnovember #nonfiction2022 #bookspinbingo
Let me begin again. Dear Ma, I am writing to reach you - even if each word I put down is one word further from where you are.
#Firstlinefridays @ShyBookOwl
I got annoyed with the first person narration + Moly the maid. Author is trying to make her look innocent but due to first person narration it reads stupid to me. Not what I anticipated, there was not much mystery. Ok read 3⭐️ #10 #bookspinbingo
Heartwarming, feel good kind of book.unique & real characterisation & well crafted story line , but it started off slow with few unnecessary characters (?) which I thought could‘ve been avoided. I love all the sea creatures & specially octopus . Therefore I loved Marcillus 🥰 One of the cute animal characters from fiction. 4⭐️ #bookspinbingo #3
I am ticking off famous/ best books from 2022. All suggestions are welcome 💐
I enjoyed reading this book along with fantastic #naturalitsy group. Though I was behind my reading schedule in the last few chapters I thoroughly enjoyed the group discussion. This book covers the years of academic research about forest fungal network. It includes both professional & personal journey of the author, with ups & down. It is sad to know about the discrimination faced by female researchers. Learned a lot about designing expts ⬇️
Had fun with #Scarathlon2022 read. Thank you so much @Clwojick & @StayCurious for being wonderful hosts 😍💐🙏 Here is my total points. Thanks to all the hosts of readathons & fun bingos . Cheers to all #Teamslaughter members 🥰

The adventure of Cass , Jacob & Lara continues in this book. I love the strong bonds of friendship in this series. Best spooky series for young readers. 3.5 ⭐️
