My favorite stat every year is the number of new authors I‘ve read. So many #BlameitonLitsy choices as well as #TournamentofBooks and #WomensPrize.

My husband knows what I like to read. But I have a very close friend who I‘d also trust…
Storygraph says I read ‘informative, reflective, and dark‘ (spot on🤣)

Here is my first 2 things of rolls for 2026. Will post my book picks by Sunday. Any suggestions would be awesome if anyone has any. Thanks in advance.
#BookishMonopoly

Just discovered this podcast…I think I‘ll give it a try. I see some books I‘ve read and liked.

*Had to redo my board becuz my youngest got ginger ale all over it. It took everything in me not to flip out at him*
Gunna try to do my first rolls of 2026 for #BookishMonopoly.
Again everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. Would love to see ur boards if u make ur own.

Aaaaaaand that's a wrap! (Only 2 days late, but I've done them all 😁)
Thank you to everybody who has joined @Ruthiella for the #christmascrimechallenge
It's been a blast and we'll host the event again next year, I'm sure! 💕💕💕💕
Happy New Year xx

Miss Harper has me so discombobulated that I have no idea what day it is (the cold meds aren‘t helping either!), I thought I‘d go ahead and post what I didn‘t post last Sunday. 🤪 #bookreport #weeklyforecast

I was supposed to do the December #QueerBC discussion post and forgot so it's a bit late
December's author was TJ Klune
What did you read? Did you enjoy it?
Controversially, I find this author fairly mid. I‘ve enjoyed several of their books but I do think they are overhyped

#QueerBC January author is Jeanette Winterson!
I've seen a few people reading Christmas Days over the holidays. Does anyone have any recommendations or want to share what they will be reading?

It is Initiate Obi-Wan Kenobi for #HoloNet Legends version because you can pry the Obi-whump from my cold, dead hands
The Jedi Apprentice books were my thing as a kid 😂

My December wrap up 📚❄️
I had a lot going on in December, so I didn‘t have much time for reading. I could only finish four of the books I started.
Finished three for #SeriesLove2025
Finished one for #LitsyAtoZ
Still in Progress:
Forever Odd
Chasing Stardust

My #bookspin list…
Sorry to post these in backward order 🤣
Trying to catch up and get my #bujo ready for 2026!
@TheAromaofBooks

I didn‘t do enough reading last year to make use of the templates I made. Here‘s hoping 2026 is different. I already have a contender for worst read of 2026. 😅
Feel free to use these if you‘d like. ❤️
(This one is basically the exact same as last year‘s just with the months ordered differently since I didn‘t like how I had done the bottom.)

Instead of doing a top 10, I give a quick top 5 and then give credit to the Funniest, Weirdest, Creepiest and Most Annoying of 2025 💕

Thanks to these Litsy folks for today‘s prompt:

Read and LOVED all of these books by Renee Rosen.
Aren‘t the covers GORGEOUS?
Which ones have you read?

#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii
1️⃣ Had a fun visit with my family last weekend 😍
2️⃣ Enjoyed a lovely lunch and a visit to Barnes & Noble with my BFF
3️⃣ Enjoyed a fun New Years with friends who hosted a PJ party. Actually made it to midnight without falling asleep 😆
4️⃣ Had a lazy, catch-up day on 1/1
5️⃣ I‘m back to work today (well, see pic for clarification 🤣), but then it‘s the weekend!!

“This very unique book, with its collection of fifty-eight different stories, provides the reader with an entertaining glimpse into surprising, sometimes shocking, events drawn from years of life experience.”
Don‘t you just LOVE this cover?

My first list for #ReadYourKindle includes some ARCs and some they have been lingering unread for awhile. I don't know if I'll get to many this month, but here's hoping!
@CBee

Happy New Year, all! My January #BookSpin list is working hard this year. It‘s got all the books I have in my possession from @Texreader ‘s #AuldLangSpine list and all the books I have in my possession for this month‘s #AuthorAMonth - T. Kingfisher, along with the usual odds and ends. Here‘s hoping the spin makes some helpful choices so I don‘t have to, *gasp* use my own decision making skills! 😱📚😍

It's a new record! My Year in Books is up within 24 hours of the new year starting! https://imperfecthappiness.org/2026/01/01/2025-my-year-in-books/
Many thanks to my spouse for being (mostly) patient about me using the device on which he would like to watch football to post about books.

#Storygraph #2025Wrapup
I love that all three of my top authors were reading challenges! ❤️

Best and worst of 2025!
Straight is from 2012 but still relevant; is thorough like academia but without becoming dense on purpose. Aside from some details other experts may disagree on and a short boring stretch, near perfect.
Where the Folk had so much promise but every story was cut short and abbreviated + why does a man my age have the voice of a fucking retiree?

#StorygraphStats #StorygraphWrapup
There were so many good books this month! And I got my nonfiction percentage even higher! 🎉🎉

Happy new year, everyone! I made a 2026 bracket template for those who would like one.
Each month, choose the best book you read that month and repost this graphic with your book added to the appropriate box. They will face off against each other until one is crowned the best book you read all year. There are also two “bonus” spaces to even up the matches!

Today starts the new #192030 challenge!
Thanks to everyone who participated in #192025 . It was so much fun that I brought it back. The only rule is to read one book originally published each year, from 1920 to 2030.
Feel free to use the official hashtag. I also hashtag the pub year on Litsy in case anyone wants inspiration.
Link to the Storygraph tracker is below.
If you wish to be added/removed from the tag list, let me know!

Suggestions!? So this new 2026 book log I bought has a section where you can color code track a stat or theme, I am asking for suggestions on what to track. There are 3 stat trackers, and as I only read about 50-55 books a year, with 384 boxes I need to track something that shows up multiple times in a book. For 1 of the 3, I‘m tracking Inns/Taverns, and event tropes that happen in them. Fights, lovemaking, story reveals, etc. Help with other 2?

The world I live inside. I can‘t wait to see where 2026 takes me in books. I‘m continuing to go through my books at home—reading the neglected, packing what I want to keep, donating the rest to little free libraries and gifting to friends. I believe this is the year my husband and I will finally be moving to the north…and I am so excited at the thought of raiding new libraries! I still have so many more books to go through—let‘s get to reading!

End of 2025 Wrap- Up. Happy New Year 🎉

It is officially 2026 here. So just wanted to put this out for anyone that wants to join in. #BookishMonopoly
Everyone is welcome at any time. Love to see ur boards if u make ur own.

Finished one more for the year making that 239 books read

Trying to set up my 2026 reading calendar at the last min. Hope everyone is having fun. 😋

#Top25of2025 Part Two
These 11 books were the best of the 135 books I‘ve finished in 2025.
Happy New Year!
