I'm preparing a bookstack post of openly trans authors for #TransDayOfVisibility for the library I work at. I'm delighted that it was hard for me to find a Phoebe & Her Unicorn book checked in that I could use 🤩

What an amusing, imaginative and creative concept—giving inquisitive 8-yr-old Phoebe a magical unicorn with the coolest name as a friend! I would have loved reading this book when I was an awkward and shy youngster back in those “olden” days before the internet. 😂

Thanks @PurpleyPumpkin for sending Phoebe my way. She‘s a hoot!
What a great way to end my reading year! This was an absolute delight. 5/5⭐️
Happy New Year Littens!🎉🍾🥂

5/5 for this graphic novel. This was such a cute graphic novel. The artwork was so cute. Phoebe was such a spitfire character. I just loved her. I will be reading more!
This charming collection of comics follows Phoebe and Marigold, the unicorn that Phoebe wished to be best friends with after saving her from her own teflection. I absolutely adored this first volume. The jokes are often aware of themselves and flow nicely with the loose storyline, really creating great characterization. I would highly recommend this series, especially if you're looking for a light, relaxing read. #Unicorns #LGBTQAuthors
My daughter and I decided to re-read the Phoebe and Her Unicorn series over spring break and she found a website to receive her Questing Unicorn certificate + license listed at the end of book one. Naturally, she signed up!
1. Supposed to hit 80 - sunny, but a chance of storms this afternoon.
2. I love the IDEA of RV camping, but actually traveling with an RV is kind of stressful haha Cabins are usually our jam.
3. I've read a lot of happy books this month, but right now I'm kind of leaning towards having my own best friend unicorn.
4. Chill. Love getting up early, eating a leisurely breakfast, & sitting on the front porch to soak up the morning.

My library is very small and most of my books come through interlibrary loan. However, right now there is only curbside pickup and only for books in that physical library so - pretty limited!! But I have been in the mood for a fluffy graphic novel, have seen a lot of Litsy love for this one, AND it was actually at my library!! It's more a comic book than GN, but it is fun and entertaining and now I REALLY wish I had my own unicorn!
So true - nothing is as traumatic as the first bell after summer.
Life doesn‘t get much better than these moments
This is my pick for #BBRC #MiddleGrade #FictionGraphicNovel It is a cute story about a girl (who wants to be a superhero) and her unicorn (who has a very healthy ego). I loved the sarcasm 🦄

I‘m not as old as a unicorn but old enough to remember shopping in record stores! 😝
This was such a cute book! And funny! And I *may* have borrowed this from my 10 year-old daughter.

Peter Beagle, author of The Last Unicorn, likens this graphic novel to Calvin & Hobbes, and I totally agree with that comparison. This was such a fun read, and has been coveted by both of my kids. I can‘t wait to see more of Phoebe and her pal, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils.

The Dodo in Alice is disposed to represent the author In real life Charles Dodson. So for this challenge I chose Dana Simpson and her creation of Heavenly Nostrils the unicorn. Dana says on her twitter feed frequently that she is a unicorn and I‘m all for it.

I can see the appeal for the target audience, but I felt like it was the same joke over and over.
But hey, if it gets kids reading...isn‘t that what they say?
A fun Calvin and Hobbes vibe. Also, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils is indeed an excellent unicorn name.
I read this one yesterday, nice re-introduction to the comics. I think I like later comics better but it‘s still good. I liked all the extras in the back of the book too!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a super cute and funny introduction to the friendship between precocious nine year old outcast Phoebe and her vain unicorn Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. I‘m planning to pass this one along to my niece, and if she likes it, I‘ll read the next one. Maybe this can become our thing? I‘d really love that. 🦄
Finished crocheting my niece and nephew's mermaid/shark tail blankets just in time for Christmas! Phew! Also gifting books....Obviously.
I got the first two Phoebe and her unicorn books for one of my nieces for Christmas and just finished reading the first book so I can talk to her about it. Phoebe reminds me so much of my niece, I think this was a great pick for her! This was a super cute book about friendship and not quite fitting in.
I picked up some Christmas gifts for my nieces yesterday. Would it be bad form to read them before I wrap them up?
1. The left end seat of the couch, with a pillow in the corner and a cozy blanket. I have been known to use my wife's mermaid blanket on occasion. (Mermen read too)
2. Iced tea and spicy chips. Perfect reading fuel for me.
3. Phoebe and Her Unicorn. @cobwebmoth got me hooked on this series. I love it!
4. @GondorGirl

Thanks for the tag @JenlovesJT47
They love each other. Phoebe and her unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils do everything together. This series is considered Middle Grade, but the humor is perfect for adults. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! #HeyJune #SheLovesYou
Cute story. Adorable pictures. Funny jokes. There were a few not so nice phrases on some of the pages. Overall cute! This page totally cracked me up, as autocorrect always gives me hilarious “fixes” 😁
The drawings in here are very cute, and there is even a space drawing...one of my favorite topics 😁
I have heard good things about this one from other littens so I had to check it out! I am on 10 hours and 54 minutes of my #13inThree and have been reading from the same book all day. Wanted to switch it up a little and see if I can make it to 13 😁
Satcastic and fun but storyline quite scattered. More for adults than kids
My daughter finished with this one with time left on her loan so I grabbed it for a quick read myself. Fast read, good for all ages though some stuff will go over the heads of younger readers. 🦄
I loved this! The writing was witty, the art was cute. I wish I had a comic like this when I was growing up.
Had a great time at Fairfax Library Con! Heard Dana Simpson talk, got her book signed and picked up a few other fun things. I love supporting local libraries and authors!
Did you know today is Unicorn Day? 🌈 🦄 💜 💫
It‘s a cold, rainy day where I live, so this is a good way to better my mood by celebrating these magical mythological creatures!
But, whose kidding, isn‘t every day the perfect day to celebrate the glittery awesomeness that is a unicorn?
Do you have a favorite unicorn, or other fave mythological creature? Mine would be Marigold from the tagged book.

How have I survived without Scribd in my life?!?! Unlimited audiobooks, ebooks, and magazines for $9 a month....yes, please. Now I can read all of the Phoebe series 😃 #scribd
This was so much fun. It was exactly what I needed for an escapist, overwhelmed-with-my-reading-list, can‘t-adult read. I mean, how can you not love Phoebe and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils?! 👧🏻🦄
