LibrarianRyan @lynneamch I read a really sweet thing from a mom on Twitter. She is sending her kids Santa letters about his elf who had an issue with the present delivery but that he would personally send his elf twinkle to hand deliver it when it was fixed. It was cute. Also helps for anxious kids thinking Santa forgot them. 4y

I have been trying to believe in the impossible...a timely delivery by the USPS. I have been trying not to develop a new bad habit...every hour on the hour perform tracking check, even in the middle of the night. I have been trying to remain calm...wondering if my match would realize it‘s not there. Hmm...that‘s far fetched. A book-lover always notices missing books!
It better arrive tomorrow!😬

I think most people know, and certainly won't blame the sender. Also... if the book comes after the 24th, it's just going to make for an awesome day when it does show up- a great book and a treat? Hooked_on_books You‘re not alone! I‘ve become a psychotic tracking maniac! Plus, mine now says it‘s been delivered, but no post by my recipient, so I don‘t know what that means. I may be bald by the end of this. 4y

Leftcoastzen It‘s a mess , a friend sent a gift in a flat padded envelope 2 day USPS from Chicago to Phoenix on Nov 17th , it got to me today.They seem to get bogged down in distribution centers for days! Most often tracking is paused or stops entirely. 4y

Amandajoy We could start a support group. One of mine for my elf swap is stuck in transit (I mailed it on the 12th!) and another present I ordered for my husband looks like it won‘t be here by Christmas. I think it‘s stuck in Switzerland, we live in Nebraska and I had no idea it was coming from overseas. But it sounds like everyone will be getting presents well into the new year! 🙁 4y

TheAromaofBooks It took 8 days for my package to get from here to our nearest hub... 20 miles away 😑 I mailed it 12/4 & it still hasn't arrived to its destination in Colorado... I'm going with the “this will just extend the Christmas season“ theory 😂 4y

Liz_M This all sounds too, too familiar 😖 😭 I mailed my book on Dec. 7th from Brooklyn and it got stuck in NJ for over a week. It finally made it to the correct state on Dec 16th, but has been “currently in transit to the next facility“ ever since. 😤 4y

Crazeedi @Nute everyone understands the issues this year, so dont stress too much. As long as everyone knows things are in the mail, that's all we control. I participated in a swap earlier this year where my partner never mailed my package. Fortunately the ones in charge stepped up and sent a couple prizes so I go something. Stopped by the Post Office on the way home from work to get this package finally on its way! From start to finish this has been fun. Trying to figure out which book to send. Trying not to eat the chocolate in the middle of the night. And...incredibly enough, not having to wait in a long line at the Post Office...business handled within five minutes. Yay!
