Locke & Key Volume 2: Head Games | 
pickI actually enjoyed this one more than the first with the storyline. Still don't like the graphics. Bode found a key that can open your head and see what's inside (nothing gross!). There's more to it so I won't spoil it. I won't be continuing with the series due to the illustrations but I enjoyed the stories in the first two books.

pickWith settling in Lovecraft, Massachusetts, Bode, Kinsey, and Tyler are adjusting to their new life, and they learn more about the boy who has a striking resemblance to the dark lady from the wellhouse. Bode reveals to Kinsey and Tyler the Head Key, which allows users to see inside the head of people (or themselves) and remove or add memories, emotions, thoughts. The Locke children decide to use to key, which draws the attention of the dark lady.

pickIsn‘t this illustration of things inside a little boy‘s head fun? This is Bode, and he, his brother Ty, and his sister Kinsey are main characters in this horror graphic novel series. I thought vol 2 was just as good as the first! I love the artwork!

Although it‘s definitely a horror theme, I‘m not finding it too disturbing or scary. It‘s gorey but not over the top.
pickWell, that was disturbing, but a good change of pace from my recent long reads. It‘s been a while since I read the first volume, so I did a quick reread and then read Volume 2: Head Games. I‘ve got the next couple of volumes checked out through #Hoopla as well.

pickI'm still really enjoying this series. The artwork is beautiful, the characters are compelling, the magic is cool and creepy...I'm a fan. I was actually kind of hoping not to like it so much so I wouldn't feel the need to commit to reading the whole series, but you can't win 'em all. 🙃
It's stupid. I didn't even know him. I think we only ever had one real conversation: "'Does your exuberantly colored hair indicate a theatrical bent?' 'Excuse me?' 'We're casting the winter Shakespeare in a few weeks. There's an opening for a fair Ophelia. If you're interested.'" But I feel like--I feel like we were supposed to be friends. And now he's gone, before I even got to know him...I wish I could forget how to cry.
Going to see how much Locke & Key I can get through before the Netflix series drops on the 7th. All 6 volumes are available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited 😊
pickAn excellent 2nd installment in this series. We get some more backstory on the house and the keys, but there are still lots of mysteries and questions to be answered.
Not as gory as Volume 1, but I have a feeling that won‘t last. The mind games are on point. Can‘t wait to find out more about what exactly Dodge/Luke is, the extent of their magic and how they came to be.

pickI am really loving and enjoying the Lock & Key series it really is a dark and gory graphic novel but I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading it so much.
pickA lot of series start to slowly decline after the first volume, but that‘s definitely not happening with Locke & Key. The story is so captivating with every twist and turn. I can‘t wait to see what happens next with the Locke children! #comic #graphicnovel

pickJust finished Volume 2 of Locke and Key!!! Sooo good!!! All of the rest of them came in at the library today so I‘m sure I will have them finished by the end of this weekend! I can read one volume in one sitting, I love that! It‘s just enough to fill the reading void I have since I have been busy with nursing school and it gives me just the right amount of time for a mind break! All my Locke and Key fans are there only 6 volumes?

pickI'm a few days late posting this, but I finished volume 2 on Sunday as part of the #letsgetgraphicweeklongmarathon - I needed a break these last few days after reading 9 graphic novels between Friday and Sunday, but I've found myself constantly thinking about this series and how much I'm enjoying it (Vol 1 is probably the best graphic novel I've ever read!). This gets 4⭐️from me, not quite as good as the 1st but still excellent. On to Vol 3!

pickHead games indeed. Back to exploring the house, Bode discovers another key. This one unlocks his head allowing him to add new thoughts, ideas or whatever just as he can remove memories or fears or whatever. He shows his brother & sister & Zack, his brother‘s new friend. No spoilers so I‘ll just say there is more family drama, general mayhem and a little murder is this volume. Again, great storytelling & fantastic art make for an entertaining read.
A great Thanksgiving. After a day of feasting and fun family chaos this is totally my speed.

pickI couldn‘t give a proper review this as soon as I finished it, like I usually do. All I could say was “trippy.” I guess the book left me near speechless. Imagine a key that will open your head and allow you or someone else to take out or put in thoughts, feelings, and memories. It is truly frightening. Run, do not walk, to your local library or bookstore and start the series. You may be sleeping with the lights on after you read volume two.
