Fitbit: The Complete Guide to Using Fitbit for Weight Loss and Increased Performance | Richard Bond
7 posts
Fitbit - The Complete Guide To Using Fitbit For Weight Loss and Increased PerformanceIs the Fitbit worth it's price tag?Dressing with new technologies is fashionable and certainly here to stay. Smart bracelets appear everywhere as an ultramodern accessory with a very interesting and futuristic technology footprint. They give that extra incentive for those who already practice or are thinking of starting a small or large range, unplanned, exercise. One can mainly interact with notifications on mobile and tablet or the measurement of information on exercise and health. They can become very interesting accessories for many independent users needing motivation. The concept of wearable technology is definitely here to stay and we have many indications of this. A recent report by ON World Institute predicted that 700 million wearable devices will be sold around the world over the next five years. Within this segment, it is undeniable that the spotlights are centred on the Fitbit. The Fitbit Flex promises to monitor their user 24 hours a day obtaining various data, such as number of steps, distance, calories burned, hours slept and even the quality of their sleep. Clearly geared for those who like or want physical activities.I've been a Fitbit user for some time now, and it took me some time to get the hang of its unique features. I checked on the main website and some other forums, but I learned most of what I know by experimenting with it. I've written this short guide to help the new Fitbit user. I am not sponsored by Fitbit, nor do I receive any commission for you choosing to buy their productThis is an honest assessment of my experience. There are some things I would change, which I'll come onto later, but overall I've been very pleased with it. I hope you in turn find some value from this guide, and make the most of this fitness tech. Here's A Preview Of What This Guide Covers What Does a Fitbit Do? Benefits of the Features Fitbit Fun Goals & The Importance of Putting the Work In Fitbit Tips & Tricks and Much More! Download your copy today to receive all of this information. Winter is usually tough for me to follow through on health and fitness goals, but #BFC21 has provided some good accountability & motivation this month. I don‘t think I‘ve ever had a this long of a winter step streak.

January Goals
📚 Books: 16/10 completed
👟 10,000 steps: 31/31 days
✝️📖 Devotional Reading: 31/31 days

I‘m keeping my goals the same for February as school will probably be more demanding of my time than it was in January.

wanderinglynn Yay! 🎉 Way to go! 🙌🏻 4y

Brisk evening walk to catch up on steps!
Week 1: So far so good for #bookfitnesschallenge On track for 56k weekly steps, am under calories every day so far (5/7 days goal), and am at 201 active minutes (out of 140/wk). A zoo outing at work on Wed helped out a LOT 😂 I've finished 4 books so far (2/wk goal). I'll try to do a better summary this wknd and tag everyone, I haven't been on Litsy much!

wanderinglynn Great job! 🙌🏻 Just don‘t cut calories too much so that your body goes into starvation mode. Remember the more active you are, the more fuel your body needs. 💜 5y
bookandcat @wanderinglynn exactly! I'm just making sure the number in is less than the number out and have been between 1500-2500 each day (depending on activity level). I'm not trying to stick to a certain number. But I am trying to listen to when my body is full, or if it's craving protein or something, instead of just eating mindlessly or because something is there and overstuffing my stomach. Reprogramming my brain to treat it as fuel! 5y
wanderinglynn That is a smart plan. 👍🏻👍🏻 5y

#BookFitnessChallenge Fitbit users who want to be part of the #BFC Fitbit group (this is optional!)

If you put a Fitbit user name on the #BFCR2 sign-up form & have NOT gotten a Fitbit friend invite from me, it‘s because I couldn‘t find you on Fitbit either by your username or email address.

So please send me your correct user name or email you signed-up w/Fitbit OR send me friend request (I‘m wanderinglynn on Fitbit too).

RavenLovelyReads Anything for Garmin users? Anyone on Garmin Connect?? 6y
bookandcat Is there any document that lists who is who from Litsy to Fitbit? I'm getting bfc friend requests on Fitbit but I don't know who the folks are cause it's real first names not Litsy names 😂😂 6y
phatsallylee @RavenLovelyReads i'm on garmin and was thinking that it might be fun to have a group for us too! 6y
TheBookAddict I sent you a friend request. 6y
jillannjohn I have a Garmin too. I‘ve been so jealous of the Fitbit people! 6y
Dragonfairykats Do we have to have a Fitbit? I don't have any of the watch type things. I've always been sedentary, so I didn't want to spend the money if I wasn't going to use it. 6y
wanderinglynn @bookandcat No, but we can create one! 👍🏻👍🏻 6y
wanderinglynn @Dragonfairykats No, no watch or device is necessary. This is an individual challenge based on your goals. The only thing you need is a pen & paper (or spreadsheet if you‘re a spreadsheet nerd like I am) to track your progress. The Fitbit group is completely optional. 6y
wanderinglynn @jillannjohn @phatsallylee @RavenLovelyReads Absolutely start a Garmin group! I don‘t have one, but I‘m happy to post a call for Garmin users. Just let me know who‘s going to organize it (so I can tell folks in the post who to contact.) 6y
Crazeedi Dont have a fitbit! 6y
wanderinglynn @Crazeedi No worries, you don't need one. This is completely optional for those who may have one. 🙂 6y

Amazing! I‘m blown away by the awesome response for #BookFitnessChallenge Round 2! 55 is half of our current roster. Sign-ups are open until June 21! Link below 👇🏻 #BFCR2

If you gave me your Fitbit username on the sign-up form, please let me know if you have NOT received a friend invite from me. Once we‘re Fitbit friends, then I‘ll add you to the #BFC Fitbit group. This is only for new Fitbit folks. Apologies if I send you more than 1 invite!

mabell I will definitely be signing up again! I‘m still considering my goals for this round 😊 6y

I found a lot of people like to exercise and read at the same time so I started this group on Facebook with my pal Lexie. It's brand new therefore not hoppin' yet. We're working on setting it up but I hope some of you will join. 😉 #fitbit #walkandread
