Some lovely poetry to be found in this compilation! Some spoke to me more than others, some were old favorites-some new. I‘ve been savoring this one newly all month, just delightful! Book 110 of 2021! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #20in4 @Andrew65

A Thunderstorm by Emily Dickinson
Found this on Instagram. Gotta love Emily Dickinson humor.🤷🏼♀️😂
I‘m not the biggest fan of poetry, but Emily Dickinson is among the few poets I read. Her poetry is #perfect for me - seemingly dark, yet there is a lightness that shines through the words. Years ago, I visited her house in Amherst, Massachusetts, and it was such a wonderful experience! I think I became a fan after the visit.
I looked quickly for a poem that cites perfection, but didn‘t find one in my haste. Love this cover! #ayupaugust

“A precious, moldering pleasure ‘tis
to meet an antique book,
In just the dress his century wore;
A privilege, I think”

I had to coordinate a birthday party for Emily Dickinson for work, and this cake I ordered from a local bakery was outstanding! This picture doesn't do it justice! There are little snowflake sprinkles, and sparkles scattered on the pinecones and around the pine leaves that makes it look like freshly fallen snow. Tremendous detail, and Emily Dickinson would've loved this cake. People were afraid to cut the cake because it was so beautiful.
This is the first thing that pops into my head when I hear #death
This is one of my favourite Emily Dickinson poems. There has always been something about it that I can never explain.

#librarytourism at an outdoor space at Middle Country Public Library in Long Island, NY. Rather than having sponsors pay money to see their names on bricks in the garden, sponsors chose favorite books and quotes to go on the bricks instead.
I've been absent from Litsy for about two weeks, and I'm trying to get back to posting soon. My sister unexpectedly passed away, and I'm still looking for the peace of mind I need to get back to reading for pleasure and prepping for the new school year. Any thoughts and prayers you have to spare would be so appreciated 💕 This sassy little cat has definitely been a big help 🐱as well as this poetry collection.

Reading Emily at the Homestead. Today the workshop I'm attending is doing an Archives and Special Collections tour of Amherst College's library. We get to see her manuscripts!!! 😍📜
More #BookMail from #EastonPress and this is my next installment in the #OneHundredGreatestBooksEverWritten and I love their books so very much! They truly are works of art. My next post will have a spoiler and it is my #BookishBox #HarryPotter #HouseBox . My house is #Gryffindor so take a peek if you want to see some great goodies! ❤️
Pretty cover for some of Dickinson's more memorable poems. I really came to know Dickinson several years ago on my first solo vacation - no family, no friends, just myself. I chose Amherst, home of the Dickinsons, and really got to know Emily. I hadn't read much of her poetry before, but came to quickly appreciate the beauty and sadness of every line. I visited her grave site and enjoyed quiet reflections. She's worth getting to know. #35bookparty
When the boyfriend knows you need some pins for your new bag. He's almost too good. ❤
Catching up today on #Riotgrams! This is yesterday's prompt for #BookishGoods. These tights with Emily Dickinson poetry on them are definitely the coolest non-book bookish thing I own.

Found an awesome place to chill tonight & get away from social media while connecting with my town in person. If you find yourself in South Jersey, check out Abandoned Luncheonette. Run by a rock & roll local family, this place calls itself a "nosh & shop" spot, as part record shop/part cafe/part 2nd hand vintage store. I picked up this pocket Dickinson, drank tea, & chatted with the owners until closing. This place is good for my soul. ?
The copy on the back of this book, though.
