I would have this book in my classroom library because it‘s full of fun adventures and funny moments. It shows how important friendship is and lets kids explore a cool, wild world. Plus, seeing kids their age face challenges helps inspire confidence.
“It‘s time to stop being this monsters punching bag”
A cool series for older children. The story follows a boy and his friends who are going through a monster-zombie apocalypse. It‘s very engaging and interesting
Such a fun read! I loved the kids, the story, and the humor. I think I might have to try others in this series now.

Day 25 of #scarathlondailyprompts is zombie.
This is a really fun series I enjoyed with my son.

Snatched up my #Doublespin with this perfect middle-grade graphic novel. (Zombie apocalypse + unstoppable kids + monster dogs + hijinks) x great art = JUST THE BEST. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Halfway through this book he received from Mr. C and @Endowarrior21 as part of the #AllAgesAdventureSwap hosted by @Chrissyreadit #BoysReadToo #RaisingReaders #BlackBoyJoy #BrilliantBlackBoy #KidsOfLitsy
Always bring books!
Eye doc this morning. 👁 No glasses for either baby. All is good!

I love asking my students what I should read next. Here are most of the recommendations from my sixth graders for winter break. I‘ve managed to find all of these in Libby ready to read now or within a few days. Many aren‘t my typical genre, so I‘m interested to see how this goes! I‘m also hoping to make up a little teacher book blog to show them what a book review looks like.
Loved getting a book from June's perspective. She's without the group for a bit, but she picks up some great new sidekicks, and there's the usual awesome artwork and humor.
#BookishBingo: 4⭐ read

The Last Kids on Earth is about a boy and his friends surviving a monster-zombie apocalypse. The main character is thirteen year old, Jack Sullivan, who is the hero of the story. Then there is Quint Baker, the hero's best friend, and June Del Toro, the hero's love interest. I like this book because I am a fan of graphic novels, and also adventures and I like to read about things that are related to survival and post- apocalyptic events.
A funny book with some great illustrations. It's completely unbelievable, but it's also for middle schoolers, so I get it. Definitely going to continue with the series.
#BookishBingo: Set in a cabin (treehouse, actually, but I'm going with it)
I am in HEAVEN I love EVERTHING I received in my #nightmareswap from Axton @MeganAnn @MeganAnn
I am so happy to have plenty of new reads. I‘m starting both the I 94 murders and Last kids on earth tonight. Please tell Axton how awesome he did and how happy I am!!! I love the Friday the 13th kitty Art! I will be getting it framed soon. Your family has really made this Halloween special for me! The letter and postcard really topped it off. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
This book was recommended to me by most of the boys in my 4th grade class. I am so glad I listened to them! As a huge fan of zombies, this book was the perfect fit. I was hooked from the first page and couldn‘t put it down. It is the story of Jack, a boy whose normal life is turned into an adventure by the zombie apocalypse hitting his town. His list of missions is amazing and hilarious! I highly recommend this book! 🧟♀️🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟♂️🧟♀️
My next reads after I‘m done watching the new Godzilla movie because Godzilla will always have higher priority in my life 😂
Hmm first decent book with pictures I ever read
perfect read for kids who are into survival stories and zombies! Added bonus: The Last Kids on Earth animated series will debut on @netflix on September 17th! 🧟♂️ #goodreadschallenge #kidlitexchange
Ok, not a “grown up” book, but my son and I have been reading this at bed time and I catch myself letting him staying up way past bedtime because I want to know what happens next. I super suggest it for anyone with kiddos, my son is 8 and loves it. Plus, word on the street is Netflix is making a series on it.
NY Times Bestseller "The Last Kids on Earth" (SF) is written by Max Brallier and illustrated by Douglas Holgate. This illustrated chapter book tells the story of Jack Sullivan who bands together with other local kids to fight the hordes of zombies that have invaded his hometown. This is a great read for IR, especially for students who like SF as opposed to RF. #lae3414sp19
I really like liked this book, I really enjoyed the pics in it and how Jack had assembled a team of friends to live with and fight with. I also liked jacks funny comments and relationships with his friends (specifically quint). I would recommend this book to people who who like action and comedy
I absolutely adored this book. While I don't usually read illustrated books (or enjoyed them) I didn't want to put this one down! I loved how our main character saw life as a video game and the video game references sounded logical, true, and something I would think up. This made it relatable and amazing. Love it!
I thought this book was pretty good. But I felt it was a little to childish for me but it was okay. 7/10
I liked the pictures and the way it was written i was able to read it in a few days wich was pretty good. 🆗️
The authors writing
The author uses a style that makes you get lost in the world. His use of illustration showing what the character's look like make it so your mind doesn't run wild thinking what they look like. And the fact that the character's don't know everything about the world add's to the story as a whole.
Love it when kids bring books to art 🖤

I haven‘t had the chance to read these books yet, but they are popular with several of my students. The series is definitely on my to-read list.
This pup always follows my kiddo around, especially during our reading sessions!! So cute!
If, like me, you have a kid who reads well but is Very Picky and only likes books that appeal to his wacky sense of humour... can I introduce you to The Last Kids on Earth (novel with illustrations) and Secret Coders (graphic novels). My kid has devoured these and now we need more, more, more from these busy authors! 🤞🤞
After the zombie apocalypse, Jack becomes a monster killing machine. He hopes to find his best friend and the girl he likes. But will he be able to escape the monster hunting him? This is a well written and illustrated story! So much fun.
Last Kids on Earth is a Modern Fantasy graphic novel about a kids trying to survive when a zombie apocalypse this their town. This novel is great for IR. https://texasbluebonnetaward2018.wordpress.com/the-last-kids-on-earth/ provides a variety of instructional activities for the classroom.
Reading this monster apocalypse story to my 7-year-old, and I have to say, it's delightful. Sarcastic and funny with just the right amount of heart and potty humor.
My reluctant reader asked me to go on amazon, to see if they had these books that he thought he might like to read. All on his own! No prompting from anyone! Yes, I looked right away, ordered them and am having them delivered tomorrow. #RaisingReaders
This was fun. Zombies and monsters have popped up in town, and most people are either zombies or ran out of town, leaving these kids to fend for themselves. But they respond by coming up with ingenious weapons and ways to survive. Oh, and taking lots of pics and making a monsterworld bucket list! Nice almost graphic novel feel, too.
My son got off the bus with his nose stuck in this book. He's been reading and laughing. Sounds like a winner!
Going to be at the hospital for a bit today. The hubs is going in for a procedure. The kid has started on a new book that he got for his birthday. He mentioned it right before school ended and was really excited to get it as his early bday present yesterday! It's about kids surviving a zombie apocalypse. Not my bag but he is breezing through it. #raisingreaders #kidswhoread
#BestOfFebruary #feistyfeb I enjoyed them all. Got together for dessert with a friend to discuss Tilt-A-Whirl & The Curious Charms. Enjoyed hearing my daughter's thoughts on If I Stay & Where She Went. Will continue to enjoy inside jokes about The Last Kids on Earth with both kids. What a month! #booknerdbliss #hereforthebooks
This hilarious book made a quick reference to this old song. It reminded me of a group project I did in elementary school: a board game by the same title. Sharing my childhood memory and then playing the song for my kids added even more enjoyment to reading The Last Kids on Earth together. #zombies #booknerdbliss #hereforthebooks
My son liked this so much that even though he read it on his own a couple of months ago, we read it together this last week. It is clever and I agree that we need to get the sequel!

5⭐️!!! I am not usually one for post apocalyptic worlds/ zombie apocalypse books. However, I decided to give this 2017-2018 Bluebonnet Nominee a try to expand my children's literary horizons, as a librarian. Oh. My. Goodness. SO HILARIOUS!!! A quick yet delightful read- I'm sure my family thinks I'm a bit crazy with the multiple times I have laughed out loud. I mean Really. Loud. Going to start up the sequel Tuesday! #LitsyAtoZ @BookishMarginalia
Woke up to this earlier this morning! When you discover your 8-year-old has been using the label maker. Parenting win!! 🤓
When your 4th grade niece answers your question: 'Do you know of a good post-apocalyptic or distopic read?' You listen. The girl has taste. Great read. Smart illustrations. All the fun of an apocalypse without the typical hopelessness. #pank #recom #readharder #zombies #apocalypse
