What a strange weekend it's been. I started feeling ill Saturday afternoon and had a fever through Sunday evening. Luckily I tested negative for covid. Yesterday was a bit better but I had to cancel my plans with family I was looking forward to and had a horrible headache all day that made it impossible to read 😫
I did manage to watch this lovely adaptation of a favorite book though so there's that
Here‘s my review for a book I just finished reading. This is the third book I‘ve read by Beth O‘Leary. The other 2 books I‘ve read by her were The Road Trip and The No-Show and I rated those 2 books 3 stars as well. Both books had romance in them but they focused less on the romance and more on life issues like this book did. I don‘t think Beth O‘Leary‘s books are for me so I‘m not going to read anything else by her.
My sister @Saknicole made this amazing reel on her bookstagram (library_of_hobbits), inspired by how my relationship with my husband started as the #roommatestolovers trope. She is so talented using Canva!

Whoa, the writing is quite visceral in places, which was unexpected! This was a really interesting premise and O'Leary did a really nice job with it.
I‘ve finished one hat and working on a cowl while listening to this surprisingly delightful book for bookclub next week.

I have not devoured a book so hungrily as I devoured this story. Best rom com I‘ve probably ever read. The characters felt like people I‘ve met like old friends (how cheesy but true!). I swooned so hard for Tiffy & Leon their love story was so genuine and felt effortless. Time to binge through the tv series now ✌🏼
I really enjoyed this book. Great story and characters and very well written. Another cozy winter read
Since I got a head start on #JoyousJanuary with my first #AuldLangSpine pick, I went ahead with another from @Moll ‘s list. Loved this so much I went and found Tiffy and Leon‘s Christmas letters on the author‘s website and read those too. This would be a great pick for those participating in #Loveathon2023 next month. I need her to write a sequel on Richie. I will be patiently waiting for the adaptation to reach the US 🍿 #JumpStart2023
Omg this was such a sweet book 🥺 10/10 would recommend
I have the day off today, and I am spending it curled up in a fuzzy blanket to finish this lovely book. 💕

The synopsis that they never met for so long intrigued me and I was curious to find out how the story would proceed. The characters of Tiffy and Leon were too extreme, I understand the author wanted it to be that way but just didn't sit well with me. Also, the writing style and slow burn was a lil off. But, the notes, Richie, Rachel and the actual substance it touches made it stand out. Overall, a great feel-good read.

This is the 2nd book read in September for the #LitsyLovesRomance book club. It was my favorite of the two because the characters felt real. I especially loved Leon. He is a keeper. I thought the idea of sharing a bed with someone you didn't know was highly improbable but it worked for the story. I kept reminding myself this is fiction. It also made for a few funny scenes. Cute, funny and touching at times. Need more books like this. 4⭐️
Wtf guys…this isn‘t a rom com it‘s a story about abuse. Hurry up and wrap up the Justin storyline.
I really tried to love it, but I just can‘t! I‘m in the minority and that‘s ok! The writing and grammar is driving me crazy! 🤪

3.6 ⭐
It's a definite comfort read for me, it's fun reading both sides of story. Tiffy is chaotic and cheerful, Leon is stiff, introvert yet caring.
My first read for August #bookspinbingo is my #doublespin book *yeay*
@TheAromaofBooks
I'm a sucker for love notes, not exactly "love" notes but these are really sweet. Can't help smiling while reading them, and the change of Leon's tone!! Really appreciated ???
So much better than the monologues in his early POVs
The amazing story of two specific individuals who share a bed, but have not met- Tiffy and Leon. This book tells the tale of a girl who works during the day in need of an affordable flat and a boy who is a night nurse in need of some extra money. However, due to a wrongly accused bother and an obsessive, emotionally abusive ex boyfriend, things seem far more complicated than expected.
Worth the hype, and the wait from the library! So good, sweet, thoughtful, unique. Takes the just one bed trope to a whole new level and then turns it upside down. CW for emotional abuse but it is handled deftly. Highly recommend!
Loved this - ideal for a holiday read!
One of those books where it‘s quite obvious how it‘s going to end, but still fun to go on the journey to get there.
Henry definitely doesn‘t have his own personal inflatable sofa for camping!
Not posted in a while so I know have a backlog of books to post about!
I really enjoyed The Flat Share, especially the flipped format between Tiffy and Leon‘s POV. I also think compared to other books I‘ve read recently this was a lot more emotional and hard hitting and although touching on really sensitive subjects including domestic abuse and PTSD it was done really well!
🌟🌟🌟🌟
I loved the development of the relationship between the main characters. Also loved the secondary characters and storylines. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I LOVED THIS!!! I'm not even going to try to explain why because I won't do it justice but I just LOVED it! MORE than 5/5 stars!

It's looking like another day of hitting my #BFC2022 goals - I've done all of the Blogilates videos on the calendar for today (the names of the videos are hilarious to me haha), Day 3 of 'Move' (Yoga) will be done before bed & I'm determined to finish The Flatshare this eve too! I might even read it in the bath😍 That will then be my first book of 2022 & my first #BookSpinBingo square complete!
Started my morn off with 50 more pages of The Flatshare (love!) & Day 2 of 'Move' with Yoga w/ Adriene😁 The Blogilates Day 3 video comes out later today so I'm planning on an evening workout🌟 Today's Action For Happiness action is to do something kind for someone else - I'm going to do some shopping on behalf of my flat, and I'll do some more bday present planning for my partner & friend too!🌷

My January pick

#FirstLineFridays
This book is definitely a #SlowBurn since the two main characters don‘t even meet into pretty far into the story.
I‘m listening to Beth O‘Leary‘s third book now so this one has been on my mind. #FallTreasures
This was such a cute fluffy romance. Tiffy is just fabulous, I love her quirky style. The drama really picked up towards the end and despite a whole cast of characters I was never confused. Enjoyable and fun.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫This was a reread for my book club, so I decided to listen to the audiobook, and it was such a good time! I found myself just driving around so that I could listen more. O‘Leary is great at writing these crazy situations - like a bed share - but somehow making them seem normal & pulling in a lot of real life elements, like emotional abuse & incarcerated family members. But also laugh out loud funny & very sweet.
