1. The Poisonwood Bible has been on my TBR since 2012. I checked it out of the library Monday so fingers crossed I read it this time!

Sorry @ju.ca.no I just had to finish this beauty today. So many gorgeous illustrations and such a wonderful translation. 🤩😍 I read another edition last year, but this one was so wonderful, I am still a bit speechless.

But then I cracked this open to find that the book I remembered from my childhood as so beautiful and moving actually features horrible moments of disgraceful racism. Can I ever say again that I "love" this book? Probably not. #problematic
