Currently reading this. Should finish today. I started yesterday. I am absolutely loving it.

South Carolina #BookHaul ! Two books that have been on my TBR for a while, and a book to share with the nibling!
Loved, Loved, Loved it!!!!! Mercy‘s such a great character but this cover does not do her justice. The characters and world building were great and loved the story. I can‘t wait to dive into this series ❤️❤️❤️
I am not a fan of werewolf stories but this came highly recommended by bookstore staff. It was a complicated story line but the characters were interesting.

Such a tough question! I think I‘d choose the world of Mercy Thompson. It‘s like our world but with werewolves, fae, vampires, and magic.
Or maybe London Below. Or The Library of the Unwritten.
Or for something completely different, either the Heart of Gold or Alderaan (before it was destroyed, obviously) or Deverry.
It‘s too hard to choose! What I need is a multi-world portal. 😆
Put Babel on hold for the moment. It's a book I'd like to read on paper.
Picked up Moon Called last night, just because. It's a reread.
#20in4 #readathon @Andrew65
Audible members sale on now!! I just grabbed Daughter of the Moon Goddess and Moon Called. Thanks @wanderinglynn for the push I needed to finally give Mercy Thompson a real shot lol
I borrowed this one from Libby on a whim. The cover doesn't really appeal to me, but I'd heard good things about the series, and I'm so glad I gave it a try. I'm about halfway in and really enjoying it.
So, I'd love to know if you like this series, what other series do you recommend?

📚 I really haven‘t read many books with unreliable narrators as those books usually aren‘t my genre

The first in the Mercedes Thompson series, which I am looking forward to reading (for the first time). Mercy is a mechanic and also a walker who can turn into a coyote, but she‘s not the only supernatural being around. Her former boss is a gremlin and her neighbor is a hot werewolf. She accidentally gets herself involved in werewolf pack issues, and that‘s not even getting into the local vampires. Excited to see where the series goes.

@MidnightBookGirl 🌚
I have this book and really want to start this series. I love this cover.
Today‘s #LittensDressedinBlood prompt:
Bad Moon Rising
Gotta go with one of my favorite Urban Fantasy series - Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
This prompt screams Werewolves!
My stack for #Littensdressedinblood is digital, and long! Here‘s everything tagged with “Halloween” that I‘m tracking as want to read. Really excited for the new one from Stephen Graham Jones, and a few other indigenous horror I found through him! Let‘s see what I get through this year…
I love horror, so it‘s likely some Stephen King might show up too, or more old favorites like the tagged book (I actually just finished a reread of it, lol!).
#Movie2BookRecs @Klou
Prompt: American Werewolf in London
So many books to choose from for this prompt. I almost choose Harry Potter because of the character of Remus Lupin.
My favourite mercy verse characters would run a great camp!
Mercy herself would be baking orange chocolate brownies and telling ghost stories around campfires
Adam would be teaching self defence and sport games
Warren would be playing up his cowboy nature with some lassoing of objects
Stefan would be part of the hardest game of hide and seek
And Jess and Kyle would be doing camp makeovers! Funky hair check! Stylish clothes check!

1. Patricia Briggs is one of my fave urban fantasy authors.
2. I love that UF books are set in cities & places I‘ve been or could visit but have some sort of magic (wizards, witches, weres, vampires, far, etc.).
3. Somewhere in South America, like Buenos Aires, Bogotá, or Lima.
5/5 for this one! I loved this and Mercy so much! I love a good shape shifter book. The story was so good. I was pulled into it from the beginning. I love that there are so many supernatural creatures in the story! I love the fae and vampires! I cannot wait to read more from this series.
So it turns out I've been thinking that I strongly disliked this book, because I had it confused with the first book of the author's OTHER werewolf series, Alpha & Omega, which I read years ago and found too romance-heavy. Oops! 😬 Since I'm always on the prowl for a good werewolf book, I'm going to try out this one now. Wish me luck!
So obviously this isn‘t deep philosophical literature, but omg I‘m in love!!!! Exactly what I needed. I love Mercy and Adam is swoon worthy. Now to wait for my library hold for the second one. Thanks @ErinSueMreads for the recommendation!!!!
I really love these books! They do not have a huge amount of depth, but the characters are relatable. I found this series as a 20-something looking for reads that were closer to my stage in life. This checked all the boxes - with steamy romance and bad ass women.
The first book of the Mercy Thompson series! 🐺
Okay this just made it into the 'Pick' category because the storyline was weak but the characters were terrific and I'm thinking..maybe it's a character building novel to start off the series?
Anyway, I'm definitely interested to see where this goes and I'll continue with it. 👍
So in re-reading this I forgot how much I loved this book for a few different reasons.
People will want to debate this, but I love how normal Mercy is, her job and life are not out of the ordinary which is relatable so when the extraordinary happens, it happens and is the start if a chain reaction of events that Briggs set up nicely to sucker me back for book 2 because I want to catch up to the series.
I‘m not going to say a lot because I‘m still early in the series, but this is a really cool spin on the paranormal/fantasy novel.
Some days you just need a comfort reread and this book is always ready for me to reread it.
This novel was fairly amusing, but I'm getting a little fatigued by creature stories, and it was hard to give it my full attention. I hope to dig into some spooky stories next.
5 hours reading a theme read = +66 for #TeamHarkness #scarathlon2020 @StayCurious

Shifter, weres, vampires, witches . . . a series for the Halloween season.
One of my fave series, I decided to try the audio version. Lorelei King is a fabulous narrator.
Book 6 for #scarathlon #teamharkness

Also fits prompts for #bookpathfinder #thrilloween #readlikehellathon #spooktober #bookishbingo
I may have overcommitted for October. 😆
Day 13 #20days20series @Andrew65
I love this series, Mercy is such a great character. Also the Alpha&Omega series set in the same world is great!
The covers are a bit off though, she never wears short tops like that!
@LittleBug thanks for introducing me to this series! 😘
#top20series #20series20days Day 8
Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
I love all of Patricia Briggs‘s books & will pre-order anything she writes. But Mercy is my absolute fave. Mercedes, a kick-ass Volkswagen mechanic living in the Tri-Cities area of Washington, is part Native American. That heritage has gifted her with the ability to take the form of a coyote at will. Plus this world is just fun with fey, werewolves, vampires, & more.
I‘m very late on these, but I do love them, so I‘m catching up today.

This ones a reread but it was just as good the second time around. I forgot how much I love these characters.
#owlsreadathon2020
Really enjoyed this - was exactly what I was looking for this week. Seem to be steering more towards fantasy at the minute.
Mercy is a fantastic character - I definitely want to hear more of her story and will be looking out for the next in the series. A good amount of intrigue and drama, and well written. I was dubious about the first person narrative at first but got used to it very quickly.
I haven‘t finished a whole book I‘m one day in a long time, but I‘m so close - and I am putting off folding Laundry Mountain back there so it‘s more incentive to keep reading... 😆
Enjoying this one. I always am so impressed by authors who put a lot of effort into world building and creating mythology around their magical characters.
Here‘s my TBR for this years O.W.L.s
#owlsmagicalreadathon2020
I decided to reread this series by listening to the audio. The reader isn't my favorite, but I still devoured this book in a few days. I love Briggs' books set in this world.
#BookishBingo: Witch causes toil and trouble
The start to the wonderful Mercy Thompson series is currently $1.99 in ebook form. One of my favorite urban fantasy series. ❤️🌕🐺
Litsy NEEDS an option between So-So and Pick!! This novel was a fast read that kept me engaged and I‘m going to hit up the library to get the next in the series. It wasn‘t my favorite style of writing, but I quite enjoyed Mercy‘s character development and I think further reading will get me hooked. I love fantasy and magical realism, so this was a good “hi-carb” read: tasty, easily digested, and not too dense and filling for quick consumption. 😁
I loved this. I have read others in the series and this didnt disappoint.
#plc @AkashaVampie
@AkashaVampie #plc Just finished this and loved it!! The main character, Mercy, is a favorite of mine and I loved Adam and his personality. I can't wait to continue with this series!
I Finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the ending
See. Some people believe me.

Didnt finish this last night cuz I fell asleep (big surprise... Haha not). But I only have 4 chapters left. I will finish it this morning if the little guy will let me. Then it's back to The Isle of the Lost till the end of the month!
Reading for the night so I can get this fricken book done (I'm not mad at the book... at myself becuz it's not done yet!)
