Just finished reading this for the third time. I think this might be an annual tradition for me now. I love pretty much everything about Locke & Key.

Normally, I don't do graphic novels, but I saw the TV series and loved it. #ISpyBingoOctober @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks
August 15 #ArtfulAugust Key I have not read the books (Comic Book or graphic novels are not my thing) but I have watched the Netflix Series. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
It‘s Locke & Key day! I feel like I‘ve been watching a new tv show every day 😂 Sandman, PLL Original Sin, and now this one. I guess that‘s the upside of sleeping so little, being able to watch whatever I want. Somehow it‘s easier to turn off than to close a book too, especially the creepy scary ones 😂 Locke & Key isn‘t that scary yet, but it‘s also not 2 am yet. So who knows what‘ll happen 😬

QOTD: do you like scary books and/or movies?

Day 202.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.
That was a banger of a beginning. This was my first foray into a paranormal graphic novel. Joe Hill certainly did not disappoint. Gabriel Rodriguez‘s artwork was brilliant. When I say this is a graphic novel, I mean it *is* graphic. This is definitely an adult read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Tagged by @Ast_Arslan for my favourite graphic novel, mines is Locke & Key; the artwork and storyline are absolutely brilliant! 👌
If you read graphic novels, feel free to play along.
I'd like to see what your favourite is because I'm always looking for new ones to read in between books. 💫

@Mavey
I finished this on my lunch break and it was a lot darker than the first few episodes of the show that I watched. Its not really what I was in the mood for, but I might revisit the series when dark and violent is called for...
And... one hour later...done.
This graphic novel had a pretty interesting story I‘d like to get into more. I‘ll have to check out the rest,
Another #BookSpinBingo square and another #scarathlon2020 #TeamHarkness read finished today.

I watched the Netflix series before and thought I might like the graphic novel too. Felt pretty meh about the first volume of the original comic series, though, and there are so many additional volumes that I doubt I will try to continue for resolution of the series. At least the haunted house story fits with the #TeamHarkness theme.

I completed #BookishBingo by reading a mystery novel that follows a lot of different characters (to the point where I lost track of a few a few times 😅) so I count it as a multiple POV book!
Also completed Locke & Key, Volume 1 because I saw the trailer for the TV show and was completely freaked tf out, so I needed to read the book to see if I could stand watching it... maybe if I finish the books I'll be able to watch the show 🙈
Now, I'm not usually a big graphic novel reader but THIS series.....well, it's pretty freaking awesome

Was deciding between this show or another to start on Netflix. I went with the other and then found out this was a graphic novel series. It was meant to be that I read them first. I am also currently reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill so I can start that show too.
I read these two graphic novels, plus FCBD: Our Favorite Thing is My Favorite Thing is Monsters by Emil Ferris on my Kindle for #comicthon Loved Locke & Key and the Ferris. I remain so-so on the Umbrella Academy books but I love the show.
A great short story during the Golden Age at Keyhouse. Two boys spend time together exploring and having a fun summer day, and they are accompanied by their dog, whom they have turned into a human using the Animal Key.
Reopened my Kindle Unlimited account so I could read this series. About to start Vol. 4 ... it‘s so good. Very much a should have read it sooner.
The Locke children have moved into their father's ancestral home - Keyhouse - after he was killed in a home invasion. Just as they being to start over with the help of their mother, the youngest find a key that changes everything. Now a series on Netflix!

The art in this is so good! A great creepy story too.
I probably would have enjoyed this more if I hadn‘t already watched the first season on Netflix. This is one case where I think the TV adaptation might have surpassed the source material. A lot of the changes for the TV version feel like they fleshed out these characters so much better. #graphicnovel
I‘ve been reading Locke & Key Vol 1 today courtesy of @Eyelit and enjoying it so far.
I did a grocery run this morning which wasn‘t as bad as I expected, though I couldn‘t get any fresh veg. Then had a walk with a friend (at a safe distance😁) on a quiet trail.
Igor has decided he likes to perch on the new bed frame and watch birds in the back yard.
Sending lots of love out to you all in Litsyland. 💗💓💗💓
I loved the comic books and the audiobook did not disappoint. Now I need to watch the series!! #booknerd #bookaddict #audiobook #Locke&Key #bookworm
I can‘t believe I have put off reading this for so long. It was so good! I‘m trying to savor the rest and not gobble them all up at once.
Thanks @Eggs and @Trashcanman
1. I try not to, but you know I do.
2. I bought all six! Loving them so far.
3. The internet.
4. If hubby is home, I try not to hit snooze. Which is almost all the time. He hates it. But it still takes me a bit to drag myself out of bed.
5. Tag! Play if you like. I love to read the answers.

Bookstore dates are my favourite thing to do on a Sunday. Hubby talked me into buying all six. I really hope they are good, because there‘s no going back now. lol
I never really *need* a reason to reread these comics, but the Netflix series inspired me to. I think the show is really well done as far as adaptations go and I enjoyed it. But there‘s something about the original that is much more impactful. The art makes the violence more haunting & the storytelling more suspenseful. I love how there are tributes to other comics throughout, and how creative the structure is. I‘m always happy to revisit Keyhouse
Very interesting. I want to read more and watch the series to compare.
Kindle unlimited has the first 5 in series available for free
Binge watched that new Netflix series. It made me want to go back and reread the series. ❤️📚❤️
Thanks for the tag @sherryvdh 🥰🥰
1. Shadow and Bone series and Locke & Key are the only ones that pop up right now for me. Super excited for them both!
2. Physical if I'm chilling on the couch, ebook in bed, audio at work.
3. Ummmm locally our museum just unveiled a new historic walking trail exhibit for African Heritage Month. That's kind of cool
4. Consider yourself tagged!!!

It‘s 9am Sunday here in Sydney, so Bk5 of my #24B4Monday #readathon will be an audiobook before I finally get some sleep. It‘s also Australia Day so this is Bk1 of my #AUDayReadathon🇦🇺 A play like version of the Joe Hill Locke & Key GN series, it‘s narrated by a whole cast, including Haley Joel Osment. Hopefully it‘s amazing. Wish me luck! And Happy Australia Day my fellow Aussie littens!💚💛💙🤍❤️✨
This is the first book. I really, REALLY enjoyed it. Dark, good use of the innocence of children, and interesting antagonist. Loved it.
This came yesterday; I‘m looking forward to reading it.
Great one shot from the Locke & Key series. Gotta love it is about a dog 🐶 ❤️🐶🐾
Joe Hill does not disappoint!!! I‘ll probably continue this series (after I read my November books — or it will be my work graphic novel)

Since a lot of reviews mention gore and violence, I wasn‘t sure if I would like this. Turns out, it really pulled me in! The set up, and layering of the story, with shifts in time between now and various key moments in the not too distant past, worked really well.
I can‘t wait to delve into volume 2 to learn more about the mystery surrounding the house and its keys.
#screamathon
Having just finished Shirley Jackson‘s The Lottery an hour ago, is this a subtle nod to that story with the Hutchinson reference?
Wow, this comic was so messed up! So much death! But you know what, I‘m really glad I already have volume 2 in my stack. I‘m saving the rest of my graphic novels for Sunday, when I‘ll be too tired and hungover to concentrate 😂😂
Book 2 finished for #24b4Monday #Readathon
#teamstoker #scarathlon +11pts (794pts) Finished this around hour 3 of reading.
This series has no shortage of #bloody moments, but it‘s an exciting story, for sure.
