OMG can you believe we have 10 days left for #BBRC. How close are you? I am still 6 shy of completing, 3 Easy readers, a Litsy Award Winner, and a cover change mid series.

All participants have until the 4th of July to get their books in the log. July 4th i will be giving out prizes.

There will be 7 prizes. participants will get one entry for every section they complete.

julesG Thank you Ryan for organising this. I confess, I stopped tracking my books. Ages ago. I wanted to keep it up but then this weird thing happened and life just got complicated although we stayed at home. I might catch up with the prompts, I might not. 4y

Librarybelle I‘m trying to finish as many as possible. I started strong, kinda lost track in the middle, and am powering my way to the end. I have a couple categories finished, and just a couple prompts left in the other categories. This has been fun to explore and do! 4y

rockpools Thanks so much for organising this Ryan. I have about 30 to go... so I‘m probably not going to finish (!!) - but it‘s been a wonderful excuse to explore books for different age groups, and to see what resources are out there. I‘ve really enjoyed it 😃. And thank you for the cheerleading @BookwormAHN - it was so fun to see what you were reading this year as well! 4y

IamIamIam I was thinking about this the other day and I feel like I put in a valiant effort!! Lol, I should go back through books I read but didn't include in the challenge. I'm not going to finish but I'll definitely save the prompts to move forward! Maybe it'll be a 2 year challenge for me... LOL 4y

LibrarianRyan @cobwebmoth Do not feel bad. I read almost nothing in March , April, and May. Heck I didn't even load the books I did read (which I started yesterday) so I totally understand. But you made a valant attemp which is all that matters. 4y

We are getting a new circ system WEDNESDAY, and my boss just put me in charge of it because she can not explain the tech to the big boss. I'm going down my todo list. And because our system is a university system (even though we are a govenment library) they are more worried about the staff side working and not the public side (since students are not in class right now) and we have to worry more about the public side because the Secretary of State has to approve they way ANYTHING reads or looks for the public. I have my presentation at 2:30 today for the big bosses and there are a few 4y

LibrarianRyan @Sarahreadstoomuch quesitons I can not answer because the system wont answer me and just keeps saying they are not worried and dont even attempt to use the public side yet. UGGGHHHHH. they couldn't change the timeline because it adds cost to a multi-million dollar transition. Most of the universities could work form home during lockdown and keep things moving but we could not. So I have had 2 weeks to get this ready. The fact that I am not br (edited) 4y

LibrarianRyan @sarahreadstoomuch braindead is a miricle. It does make it better that my boss never used or learned to use the old system and is not a tech person so she doesn't understand most of what needs to get done, but is in charge of it for out building. It's been a long 2 weeks. System handed over the staff side yesterday and they have till 4 to approve it. Patron side wont get handed over at all until go live date on Wednesday. UGJHHHHHHH 4y

LibrarianRyan @GeeneeandBarbie hello. The Bieth and Beyond Reading Challenge #BBrC is a year long reading challenge that starts in the summer. The object is to get people reading books for all ages. There are 7 sections divided by age groups with prompts. All total it‘s 72 books but about 31 can be done in a day or two. The new round starts on July 1. I‘ll have the new list up next week. 4y
