Well, I finished one book - the poetry book. In Her Feminine Sign by Dunya Mikhail. It made me wonder why I haven‘t read more poetry. I mean it was sad. It was written by an Iraqi woman about the lives of women around her. But it was beautiful, too. The way she put the words together. Anyway, I also read at least 33% of each of the other 3 books I‘m reading. A good weekend! Thanks @TheSpineView
Here's a look at my original #readyourkindle challenge list, complete with the books I marked off in February. Two blues were READ while the red was, sadly, a DNF. We had a duplicate book number this month, so I've already got one marked off for this month. Woohoo! 😝
In 2023, I joined @Andrew65 and @TheSpineView for the #SeriesLove2023 challenge. I read 24 books from series that I had either already started or wanted to read! 58.5% of my reading! I‘m really glad I joined the challenge and I have no regrets, but nearly all of those books came from the library. That meant I didn‘t read as many books from my shelves. So, I am challenging myself to #clearmyshelvesin2024 and read more books that I already own. ❤️📚
I'm calling it - the wildflowers are out all over, and I saw a string of wee Australian Shelduck ducklings waddling across the park yesterday, so it's Djilba (first spring). That means it must be time to start the “Fall“ section of my #Booked2023 challenge! I have ideas for most of these.

It's the 222nd day of the year! So I've decided it's time for a #readingchallenge catchup. (5/5)
Wicked Words: I'm up to date, with all of Jan-Aug complete.

Reading Embrace 2023: Only one to go! So I'm keeping my eyes peeled for Cucumbery Dicks.

It's the 222nd day of the year! So I've decided it's time for a #readingchallenge catchup. (3/5)
No Shame Readathon: only two to go! Classic SF, and Translated Thriller. Shouldn't be too tricky.

#fourfoursin23 : COMPLETED!
I hit my reading goal of 100 books for the year! Currently, I have read 102 books.
And that‘s a wrap! I managed to carry #ReadingAfrica2022 to the very last day of the year, but I managed to complete it! It was touch and go for a while there, so I‘m glad I made it through. Here‘s some of my standouts from the challenge.
❤️Well. I‘ve been setting a numerical goal for about ten years now, and I usually tweak it at some point during the year.
💜I need to finish five books in ten days to meet this year‘s goal. With what I have on hand, it‘s definitely possible, but I‘ll see how it goes.
💙Christmas dinner at my sister-in-law‘s place, which will be my first outing into the world.

I‘ve put together my #readingtheamericas2023 reading challenge pages in my brand new bullet journal. Can‘t wait to get these pages filled out! @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle
I managed to check off 4 more countries in September for #ReadingAfrica2022: Sudan 🇸🇩, Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, Eritrea 🇪🇷, and Central African Republic 🇨🇫! I also have 3 in progress and a total of 10 more countries to go! How‘s everyone else doing?
Since another month is gone and the year is at the halfway point (what?!?), here‘s my progress on the #ReadingAfrica2022 challenge! In June, I read books for Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, Benin 🇧🇯, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱, the Seychelles 🇸🇨, and South Sudan 🇸🇸. I enjoyed every one of them!
I'm definitely not showing you this to brag, I'm astonished myself that I'll probably make my challenge goal before the end of June.
It's all thanks to generous friends, glitches in the matrix, and having lots of reading and listening time.
I still can‘t decide! I wrote this but still haven‘t picked one to do. What are you all doing for 2022? https://bookriot.com/2022-reading-challenges/ Feel free to drop me a comment here if you‘re doing a challenge in 2022 😊
Goodreads Reading Challenge 2022 completed. ✔️
Now I can just focus on reading whatever I want for the rest of the year instead of chasing an arbitrary book total. 📚📚
📢📢 UPDATE
I want to say thank you to everyone who play #ReadingWithMaja challenge. Don't forget to post your reviews (if you already didn't). Will choose 2random winners on January 5th.
Next week will announce new challenge. It will be with a team and more surprises. I hope you join me again. It is so fun to see/read all your posts and find new books.
Happy reading!

My library is doing this contest for 2022 and I‘m obsessed. 50 categories. One book for each. Except I‘m bummed that I won‘t have time to read any of my own that don‘t fit a category… ☹️
As we're getting close to the end of the year and looking back on 2021, one of my goals for next year is to read more diversely. I've done some this year, but I'd like to make it more of a priority and bring more awareness to my choices.
There are a lot of reading challenges for 2022 planned but nothing with this focus. So I was thinking of starting my own and I wanted to see if my favorite litsy community would like to join me on this journey ⬇️
I‘m using this reading chart from August to add on books that I‘ve read. I have books on here from August. I‘ve added the two books I read in October and now, I‘m going to add on books that I read this month to this graphic. It‘s not summer anymore but I have decided that I want to continue using this chart until it‘s filled in with books.
Here‘s my progress so far on #beatthebacklist. I‘m still not sure what books to read for the other prompts but I see a lot of different ways I can get another bingo. I don‘t know which row to focus on next but maybe the easiest way to get a bingo is to focus on the rows where I only have to read 2 more books in order to get a bingo.
Here‘s my progress for #theunreadshelfproject. For the bonus challenge this month, I‘m going to choose a book I bought because of the hype. I haven‘t decided what to read for this one. I‘m going to look on my bookshelf or look through my digital books to see what I can find. I don‘t know if I have anything that would work for this bonus challenge but if I don‘t then I‘ll just read whatever I want.
My reading goal was much lower than previous years as my days are now filled with caring for my baby/toddler, but I DID IT!! 🎉
Woohoo! I completed my Goodread‘s Reading Challenge today. My new, unofficial goal is 200 but we‘ll see 😊📚
I have read 169 of 200 books for the 2021 Reading Challenge! http://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/24946967
I did not see that coming. 😳😳😳
Now I'm curious to see what the other half of the year brings.
Here‘s my June 2021 #BookSpinBingo board! I‘m in (what I hope is) a mini reading slump at the moment (I‘m just struggling to read at all, which never happens to me!), so I‘m hoping this exciting list can help get me out of it! We will see 🤷🏼♀️. Thanks @TheAromaofBooks for doing this each month! It‘s helping me really break through my reading goals for the year!
This year, I thought I‘d make it a goal for myself to read 100 books. Except, make the goal wasn‘t just enough, I wanted something visual so I could track my progress, so I printed out this chart. I know it‘s dumb, it‘s clearly made for little kids. I just feel so much more accomplished after finishing a book, and getting to cross out a number.
Update for my bingo board for #bookspinbingo #february
Finished my #bookspin book The Wedding Date

1 Yes, I do. I have mentioned this to a few people. About 3 years ago, I felt a burning desire to go back to school. I craved it. My youngest, 5-6 at the time, was having trouble in school and my husband just wasn't dependable to make sure Chaya got the support she needed. It just didn't seem right. And I found the Read Harder challenge. It filled that hole.
2 Litsy challenges - more camaraderie

Play?? @Texreader
1. Yeah, they help push me to reach my goals and read more diverse books. Plus I meet more lovely book people through them!
In the past I've signed up for too many though and gotten overwhelmed when I couldnt keep up so this year I'm sticking to a few.
2. Goodreads is a classic. I'm enjoying the #FoodandLit challenge this year!

It's here! My Reading Challenge 2021. Every month you need to read one book from my challenge list. Just use #ReadingWithMaja and tag me.
The challenge runs from today January 2, 2021 until December 31, 2021. I can't wait to see your reading posts. You don't need to join every month, it is ok to skip sometimes. Join how many you want. Don't forget to post review when you finish the book.

2020 didn't feel like a great reading year. I completely failed the #shakespeare2020 challenge and didn't read all my #netgalley books. If it weren't for #audiobooks, I wouldn't have made my reading goal at all. I am keeping my goodreads goal the same as last year - hopefully my reading year for 2021 will feel more meaningful.
Not my highest numbers, but some fantastic books during 2020! Reading was often my refuge during a really tough year 😔, as I'm sure it was with many. Here's hoping a new year brings new energy and strength.
Thank you all who participate in my first #readingchallenge #ReadingWithMaja. It was great to see what kind of books do you read. I found new books and authors because of you.
New challenge will post on January 2. Hope you participated again.😊❤

End of the year stats according to Goodreads! I read 130 books and 38,580 pages in 2020. I‘ll try to post more on Litsy in the new year!! #readingchallenge #goodreads

4. Join in every readathon available.
5. Join in #LitsyAtoZ for 2021
6. Clear my TBR shelves of as many unfinished/unstarted series as possible.
Will be joining #SeriesRead2021, lots of books to tackle next year 🤩🤩
@TheSpineView
December‘s just over halfway done (really?!?), so here‘s my #bookspinbingo update! No bingos yet, but respectable progress. I‘m hoping to tick off 9 more before the end of the month and expect to have more reading time next week than I‘ve had this week or last.
And then this happened!
I completed my reading challenge for 2020 of 50 books! I usually read a whole lot more than that but this year has been crazy and hectic. Hopefully I can read more than 50 next year!
Well if I had known a pandemic was coming, I would have upped my goal....
