1. Loosely by genre.
2. We have shelves in the living room, all bedrooms, and the library room.
3. I buy few books these days. If I do they are usually used. Hardback and paperbacks. I very rarely ever buy ebooks. I have great libraries on my Overdrive and Libby.

Taking a moment to enjoy our #LitsyFamily ☺️🤗! I‘m manning our back entrance guiding patrons tonight since our main entrance has been closed for renovations for a few days. Working upstairs, I didn‘t realize how many folks come through our doors 😱! Every ten seconds or so, at least someone comes in. Maybe I‘ll be a greeter somewhere when I‘m 100 and still want to work 😆. A lot of patrons didn‘t realize we have a garden!

But, my library had to grow and now extends to the hallway closet and guest bedroom which will be in my next post. And yes, those are all my Bookish pillowcases and blankets to the lower right. A day after posting a photo of this library on Litsy, a faulty sprinkler ruined most of the adult collection. This is the best of the 5 libraries I frequent. I always found the newest books and movies there. It will be many weeks before it‘s up and running again. The library staff are shell shocked and the community members feel sad and helpless. Hug your library staff today, my friends.

The new library in Helsinki is now open! Hundreds of people queuing to get in. To a library!!! Wow! It‘s different from the other libraries here. There are books on the third floor only. Cinema, cafes, restaurants, event spaces etc. on the other floors.

Our new DT Library finally opens today! This is kind of a big deal here. The new library made Architectural Digest's top 12 most anticipated buildings of 2018 & it looks stunning. I'm waiting to see it for myself, to avoid the crowds, but I'm stoked!! (Honestly I don't actually ever go to the library, but that's about to change!)

Hello, my name is Meg, and I have an #Overdrive problem.
I promised myself that the next time I finished a book, I would not check out another. Not even TWO HOURS later, I‘m at full Overdrive capacity again. I‘m hopeless. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
This is my first time visiting this branch of my county library. I‘m really excited both by how beautiful the library is and also by their selection. They have a lot of books that are off the beaten path & typically more difficult to find in a library. I‘m quite impressed! ❤️

I‘m away from home all day, but #onewayoranother, I‘ll still have some bookish moments. I have been planning a theme day about sexual abuse in childhood for six months, and today was the day of the event, which was held at the public library in Aarhus. Now I‘m all tired out and taking a few moments between the books before I have to go kid-sit my bf‘s nephews. Busy, but exciting day!

I am so proud that Baltimore has eliminated fines from its public library system. This is a huge step forward in making access to books and media a right for all without the stigma of fees and debt. Bravo.

Today at work we found out that our library has been selected for a federal grant to convert us to the book store model. This means almost $1 million for our library. It means new furniture, new shelving, new computers, and updated technology. I have been working at my local library for 4 months. When I started, it was a drab, unwelcoming space. The walls were a hodgepodge of peach, beige, and a color from the 70s known as academic gold. 🤢 Our furniture was just as ugly and unwelcoming. My coworkers and I have busted our a***s the last six weeks to transform our library. We still have ugly furniture (baby steps) but at least our walls are painted and we have beautiful new rugs. 💙
