I got this candle with the new Rifle Paper Co edition of Pride and Prejudice from #authenticbooks and it is my favorite smell ever. I want to smell it in my dreams. I love Rifle Paper Co but this candle! New favorite thing.

1. Pride & Prejudice (2005) - I didn‘t like the book but this movie was really good. I enjoyed it.
2. Holes (2003) - I liked the book when we read it in my 7th grade English class and I enjoyed the movie. I‘ve watched the movie many times.
3. Les Miserables (2012) - I read the book and I enjoyed it but I enjoyed the movie more because it had music.

My mind went blank trying to think of a book set in Spring. According to Google, P&P takes place during the spring and it's one of my favorite classics.

Fiiiinally I have physical copies! I always wanted a set and these are so beautiful 😍

I trust your family is in good health and wish all of you a Happy Valentines Day ❤️ #Pemberlittens
Elizabeth and Darcy. They both are complex and flawed individuals.
And the biggest thing is that they change themselves. And not for another person, but for themselves. And when the time is right, and they meet up again? When they are ready to be equal partners in a relationship? That‘s everything. ❤️
#SundayFunday Have a wonderful week, and remember to tag me!
I want to love this book like so many people do, but I just can‘t see what it is that everyone likes about it so much. This is my second time reading this one and I just am not a fan of the characters and it‘s so slow. I do love classics, but this one is just tough to get into, in my opinion. I‘m glad I gave it another shot because I do think I noticed some things that I didn‘t before, but it still isn‘t a favorite for me.
On this day in 1813 (January 28), Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice was first published in the United Kingdom. #myfav ❤️
I tried to read/listen to this in 2022 when I was trying to read classics & it did not go well in general with me & classics.
Revisited this for #authoramonth & I thought it was good, very witty. Not really for me but I can see why people like it.
He ardently loves her! Have I read far enough where I can rewatch the BBC version yet? 😁

Another #AuthoraMonth finished. I think I enjoyed it more than Sense and Sensibility, but maybe it‘s just because I knew more about Pride and Prejudice going in. And yes, I wished to smack the men with a book in this one as well.

Part of Hallmark Channel‘s month of Jane Austen inspired movies, airing in February 2024, under the Lovuary title, there‘s going to be a book discussion of Austen‘s works starting this month in January!!! 📚

My first tentative TBR for 2024! I like to start the year at zero current reads, so I won‘t be cracking these open before Monday.

It‘s Jane Austen‘s birthday today!
Born 12/16/1775
248 years young!

I first read Pride and Prejudice years ago in high school and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! It‘s been a comfort favourite of mine for years.
My sister‘s birthday was several days ago, but since I was house sitting we didn‘t get to celebrate until today when I took her to lunch. I also had a couple small things I‘d picked up at the Jane Austen centre in Bath. She especially liked the Colin Firth Mr. Darcy refrigerator magnet. #Pemberlittens

The Pleasure and Communion of Austen‘s Country Dance, by Cornelia Powers: https://lithub.com/the-pleasure-and-communion-of-austens-country-dance/
#pemberlittens especially funny after our last book! @StayCurious
The definition of a slow burn romance story😅 quite wordy but ever engaging and eloquent. The classic romance of the Bennet sisters along with Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley
I‘m running a little late with this one but it‘s still technically Thursday for me. Thank you @Roary47 for the tag.
1- Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy - Pride and Prejudice
2-Diana bishop and Matthew Claremont- Discovery of Witches
3-Linus Baker and Albert Parnassus
-The House in the Cerulean Sea
Ok @dabbe here they are!
1. Elizabeth and Darcy
2. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye 🤣
3. Luke and Lorelei
Anyone else wanna play? @Graciouswarriorprincess @Princess.ofthe.pages @StayCurious @TheAromaofBooks
@IndoorDame I saw your post and had to look up these books- they are beautiful. Unfortunately i will likely never own the Jane Austen titles…. (Christmas is “only” 40- so still in realm of possibility.
It‘s probably good that I refuse to start a collection of any single titles or I would have a house overflowing with Jane Austen #specialeditions. Every few months I seem to discover a new, must have, binding, and if I bought one I think I‘d buy them all. My latest find is this White‘s collection. Such incredible design aesthetic! I‘ll have to keep an eye on it. Maybe they‘ll expand the catalog to include something I actually do need. #bookbinge
#pemberlittens look what I had done at the book con!
Pride and Prejudice never ceases to delight me. To Jane!🥃
"Teasing, teasing, man! I will think no more about him."
When my Tuesday morning plans fell through, I was already dressed and ready to go. Grabbed Pride and Prejudice and took myself off to breakfast.
How fitting I'm finishing my upteenth reread on the day Jane Austen died.
Raise your teacups in a toast to dear Jane. #Pemberlittens.?
"Her heart did whisper that he had done it for her."
Love this moment in the story. I'm nearing the end of my reread. The Happy Ever After is on the horizon.
I've been rotating through my newest Pride and Prejudice Editions. Her is tonight's.

I think I read this book for the first time about 10 years ago, so it was high time for a revisit! I remember it being the first Austen book I loved (Sense and Sensibility was not my jam in middle school). Now, so many years later, with the movie being a favorite, and having been to England twice, I love it even more. It's nothing short of a work of a genius.

Mr. Bennet from PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: pretty mellow character, IMHO. 😀
A little audio puzzling for my Sunday. Some Jane Austen covers. Happy Easter to those who celebrate.
