AllDebooks I've taken refuge in books this week. The real world has been too much. 1mo

Librarybelle I found I wanted to read last night, which it‘s been a few days since I really could. There‘s been a lot on my mind, and Heather Cox Richardson‘s post this morning puts it into words so eloquently. She‘s an amazing political historian who bases everything she says on facts and history. But, this weekend is usual routines, with Sunday being a family get together. These checkins are so nice. Cuilin What a week! there‘s never been a time in my life where I prefer audiobooks to reading, but I did this week. All I wanted to do was curl up and listen to David Copperfield‘s life. Today I‘m going Providence RI to get my daughter for the long weekend. 1mo

Like could I make her a daily morning read with coffee? And then continue coffee with Litsy time (obviously 😉) 1mo

You don't have to pay for it if you don't want to. She is also doing an audio version if you're interested in that. It comes out later in the day. Did you see the post she wrote the day after the election? And her posts generally take less than 10 minutes to read. 1mo

I also heard her speak a few weeks ago at a virtual event, and I was struck by how articulate and knowledgeable she is. I have her books and really need to read them. I agree with @Suet624 …it takes me less than 10 minutes to read her posts. 1mo

TheBookHippie Well considering people I love and even some on here voted against my being it‘s 😵‍💫. The people being really quiet because they don‘t dare say hate out loud and actually do know how dangerous it is now for me, and my students especially, (and a large population of people that live in the US) is hard to digest. I also picked a great week to have a dental implant removed--plus finding out I had a pretty bad infection. Just the cherry on the banana split that reeks of mold. Catsandbooks Feeling overwhelmed, enraged, and exhausted. Been watching a lot of hallmark Christmas movies. My plan for the rest of the year is to really lean into all things comfort and cozy. I just wanna stay in and not deal with people. 1mo

An Outbreak of Witchcraft: A Graphic Novel of the Salem Witch Trials

Chrissyreadit I have a book to post, i‘m still trying to figure out/confirm my opinion on violets second signit- am DYING about the back cover drop and video ad drop on Onyx Storm yesterday- And i have tix for book release in LA with Rebecca Yarros- this will be the most expensive book in my life 🤣 but going with one of my favorite people in the world and super excited. IndoorDame I‘m going to be catching up on my buddy reads that I‘ve fallen behind on this weekend, and hopefully sneaking in some housekeeping. I keep starting tv shows that seem promising then getting bored after a few episodes. My newest is Aquarius, which reminds me of a retro cop show version of Emma Cline‘s The Girls. Fun so far except I can‘t get that Bree Sharp song out of my head 🤣 (apologies if it‘s an 👂🪱for anyone else!) 3mo

Cupcake12 I had work this morning 3am til 9am. Took the dogs out for a walk then relaxing this afternoon with my new book. Ready for an early night 🛏️ 3mo

My family could use some prayers or good intentions. My dad‘s father died Friday (I‘m ok we weren‘t close) and funeral is sat. My mom was taken to the hospital Monday and has a blood infection in addition to some other things requiring emergency surgery. The dogs have kennel cough. It‘s been a week.

AmyG I hope your husband is ok. I had lasik twice in 2000. They undercorrected so did it again and I was fine. 2y

ElizaMarie I hope the hubby's eyes recover soon! I had ablation eye surgery, the recovery period took a bit longer than expected, but... I am 10000% happy I did it! 2y
