1. My friends planned a surprise party for my 16th birthday. My “gift” was a giant wrapped box that contained three adorable guys from the senior class clad in nothing but their bathing suits. The most amusing detail of this story is that the party was held at our church and was chaperoned by our minister. 😀🤷🏻‍♀️

2. I love plot twists! Especially if I don‘t see them coming.

The long shipping time from Australia to Canada created a lovely surprise amid quarantine 😆 My #CreepyChristmas box arrived this week and I had forgotten all about it so I was doubly excited when I realized what it was. Thanks @LapReader ! I love that it‘s all Australian-themed.

In my effort to read more from my own shelves, I decided to try a new adventure. Each of my kids got to pick 6 books from my TBR shelves - no restrictions, and 6 they want. Biggest 6 you can find? Great. Most boring covers you see? Perfect. Whatever they chose made the pile. I wrapped them all up and will choose one at random to read each month in 2020.

Y‘all, @Mitch sent me a cat trap! Yep, the shiny red cat trap showed up in my mailbox and promptly caught the rare and elusive Ozzie when I brought it into the house. Seriously Mitch, thank you so much for the surprise. Even if it didn‘t say on it to wait to open it, I don‘t think I could open it now that the great and terrible Oz has claimed it (at least until he gets the zoomies again). 😂

I took off the jacket of The Secret of Chimneys book b/c it is so pretty with and without the jacket.What I need right know is a hot chocolate☕️with some of those delicious cookies and start to read!
