#14books14weeks check in! I‘m 1 book behind BUT I finished my chunky one yesterday! Hoping to catch up this week!
@Liz_M
When I started putting books together for #14books14weeks I realised that between Camp Litsy and other buddy reads I already have 14 books lined up for summer. And I'll be reading those anyway, so I decided to challenge myself to also read 14 books without a group schedule. Most of these keep getting pushed back because of those scheduled reads. Well, now these are scheduled too. Not shown in reading order. Banana for size.
@Liz_M
Here we go…my #14Books14Weeks stack! Thank you for tagging me, @Liz_M
Hoping I‘m more successful this summer compared to last! This is a mix of books sitting on my shelves and TBR, a couple of bookclub picks, and a few new ones from an author I just discovered. Looking forward to a great summer!
I‘ve got my choices together for #14books14weeks ! This includes all of my gifts from past Litsy swaps that I haven‘t read yet (I know 🫣) and my four most recent purchases from 2024.
We‘ll see how this goes! @LizM
Since my stack includes physical books and ebooks, I‘m showing my books this way.
I‘m looking forward to reading #14Books14Weeks
Although it‘s winter not summer here I‘m joining the challenge #14books14weeks
Here‘s my stack
In the US, summer is bookended by two holiday weekends: Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, and Labor Day, the first Monday in September. 14 weeks.
I challenge you to read 14 books between May 26 and Sep 1, which some of you may remember fondly as #14Books14Weeks.
Show me your stacks!
These are the reading challenges I‘m focusing on this summer.
The Unread Shelf Project - This one is for the entire year. I have until the end of the year to finish it.
Greek Mythology Challenge - This one doesn‘t have a start or finish date so I can take as much time as I need to.
30 Books In 3 Months - This one is only going on for 3 months. I will be reading past the deadline just so I can fill out the entire template with books.
Returned three books to the library and collected four. The problem with just reserving books online is that you don't see how big they are. 😬 😅
There‘s still time to submit your entry to win one of my #14booksin14weeks - just comment below with your guess of how many I‘ll actually get through, and which book you want to win!
The books are:
Middlemarch
Tell the Wolves I‘m Home
Things in Jars
The Wedding Date
Little Eyes
The Dead Fathers Club
The Man Who Wasn‘t There
The Zookeeper‘s Wife
Ether Day
Being Mortal
From Here to Eternity (Caitlyn Doughty)
The Reason for God
The Liars Club
The amazing @TheHeartlandBookFairy is once again hosting the #14books14weeks reading challenge! And I‘m jumping on board! 14 books in 14 weeks, starting on Memorial Day through Labor Day.
These are all books that I can actively remember being really excited for. I‘m hoping keeping them out like this will reignite that excitement!
It was a random draw between the pictured BOTM stack or a pile of Nicholas Sparks books for #14books14weeks2023 and BOTM won the draw. I‘ll be thrilled if I can read down 14 older and/or chunkier BOTMs by summer‘s end. If you wonder about the tabs on the bottom of the spines… I combine read/unread books on my shelves but tab my unread books.
@TheHeartlandBookFairy Thank you for this fun challenge!
Hey Littens! I decided to do a giveaway based on the #14books14weeks2023 challenge. Enter to win one of the pictured books! (US and Canada only, sorry.)
DEADLINE TO ENTER IS SATURDAY, MAY 27.
To enter, comment on this post with:
A. Your guess at how many of the 14 books I‘ll finish
B. Which book from this stack you‘d like to win
That‘s it! If there are multiple correct guesses who choose the same prize, I‘ll draw the winner at random.
I love @TheHeartlandBookFairy ‘s summer reading challenge! The challenge? Read from your chosen stack of 14 books during the 14 weeks between Memorial Day and Labour Day.
Here‘s my stack for #14books14weeks2023
My #14books14weeks2023 . 5 non fiction hard copies (4 of which I just fell in love with the covers 😅 ), and all similar topics of positivity, strength, gratitude, empowerment, etc. & 9 fiction digital advance copies in a variety of genres.
Back by request after taking last year off (my life was a bit nuts).

Omg. ❤️ The Summer Reading Program at our library starts in two days! 📖😎☀️ I'M SO EXCITED! This year we're giving tweens and teens not only a free book of their choice when they finish, but also a free book when they sign up! 😱🎉 WOW! Because I am the luckiest librarian ever, it's my job to pick out and order the prize books! I set a cart up for Saturday with some of their options! See anything you like? 😀

It's the last day of summer! Buzzfeed posted this cute challenge a few months ago and I was able to check off all the prompts ✅
It's been a fun summer for reading, now I'm looking forward to fall 🍂😊
I‘m sharing my summer reading chart for this month. I‘m enjoying filling these reading charts out. Instead of coloring in the stars after finishing a book, I‘ve been adding the book covers.
Here‘s my progress so far on #30booksin3months.
Here‘s my progress on #30booksin3months. I might end up finishing this before the deadline or by the deadline. Last summer when I participated in this challenge, I didn‘t finish by the deadline so I read past it. I‘ve read so much this month because I‘m participating in #bookishbingo.
Need ANOTHER Summer Reading Challenge? Early Bird Books is having one where you read 6 books between 6/1-9/3 & have the potential of winning 50+ books they recommend. I signed up because I like books 📚📚📚😉 & the 6 prompts are pretty much already in my summer #TBR. Open to U.S. residents.
Link to sign up is below ⬇️
I‘m participating in this reading challenge again. It‘s called #30booksin3months. If I don‘t finish by Labor Day then I will keep going past the deadline until I fill in this graphic.
Here is my summer reading chart that I filled in for June.
Is anyone participating in the #BuzzFeedBooks summer challenge? It looks fun but the way my slump is going idk if I‘ll make it.
TODAY IS OFFICIALLY THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER READING AT MY LIBRARY! WHOO HOOOOOO! 🎉🎉🎉
The theme is Tails and Tales, so animal books are going to be highlighted! 🐒🦊🐢
This is seriously the BEST time of year to be a librarian, especially if you work with kids or teens! It's so fun to get everyone excited about reading and about wonderful books! 💕📚💕
Can you tell how excited I am? 🤣😂
Running errands, I stopped by the doorway desk of the library to pick up my Summer Reading Challenge reward bag. This is what 1000 minutes (the limit) gets you (at least as an adult!) besides a bunch of entries into the drawing for airline tickets. There‘s a little tote bag, Hawaii Library appliqué, travel metal straw & cleaning brush, Sun Chips, Korean seaweed snack, iced tea & a McDonald‘s GC for a small treat. Wonder what was in the kids bag??
How did I miss this??? I may be 6 weeks late but I‘m still going for it!!! #PopSummer2020
I saw my bestie @KarenUK using the hashtag and I thought she was trippin on the regular #Pop20 challenge

I think some of my June/July reads will work for a few prompts 🙌🏻🥳
Comment 👇🏻 and thanks in advance! Going to start with “They Called Us Enemy” and go from there (because I have a copy on hand lol)
OK, here are my stats for @Andrew65 ‘s #JoysOfJune challenge: I finished three of my four books and am 27% into the 4th one.
I actually feel pretty good about what I accomplished as our college son came home on Wednesday for a Father‘s Day visit, and we spent a lot of time with him. 💙
Thanks for the push, @Andrew65 ! 👍🙌🏼😊 Happy to have a few more off my TBR list!
For those that can‘t get enough of challenges, Pop Sugar just released a 2020 Summer Reading Challenge. The full list is here: https://www.popsugar.com/entertainment/summer-reading-challenge-2020-47538152/am...

Started my library's summer reading challenge yesterday. They are using an app called Beanstack for tracking. Should be interesting. My old library only used paper.
My first Litsy challenge in a long time! Very excited!

Are we not getting a Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge this year? Guide came a few days ago but no Challenge List.
Or am I just impatient? 🤓
Another summer reading challenge book finished. Just read Inheritance, which was great. I‘m listening to Resistance Women. I‘m got several more that I own or have from the library so I‘m going to keep reading through September!
Catching up my Modern Mrs Darcy Summer Reading list. I‘ve read a lot of them so far and I plan to keep working on it even though my summer is most definitely over.
Anyone else doing a library #summerreadingchallenge with your little ones? We signed up late but have been enjoying it. They‘ve even become fans of #audiobooks and #ebooks as a result. #librarianmom #raisingreaders
Great summer reading list-I found so many I want to read! Thought I‘d share 😀 https://www.realsimple.com/work-life/entertainment/summer-reading
Have you seen this great idea by @Librarybelle and @ferskner ???
So my question is, what's your favourite cozy crime series? 🤩 I already have some cozy crimes on my tbr, but maybe you inspire me for another series!?!? 😁
#cozyinthesun
Blue may be the most common color used on the covers of books I‘ve read. Here are some I‘ve read so far this year. I expect more #summertimeblues in the coming weeks. #SongsofSummer
Finally got my May wrap-up together. A good reading month with a total of 10 books.
4 ~ Physical books
5 ~ Audio books
1~ Ebook (Netgalley)
Have not yet gotten my June TBR list together yet. I am waiting on my #BEA and #BookCon2019 books to arrive. I shipped everything FedEx. Once they arrive and I have had time to sort and catalog them I will be able to get a game plan together.
☀️📚It‘s almost time for my library‘s summer reading challenge to begin! 📚☀️
I love our libraries approach, which includes a variety of activities broken into a few categories: read, play, explore, write, create, and give. 📝 🚲 🏊🏼♀️ 🖼
What does your library offer during their summer reading program?
