An illustrated adaptation of the creepy, campy 1982 movie, released in conjunction with the film. I think the stories are a little more successful in the movie, but the comic does a decent enough job.

This was a fun graphic novel by the master himself, Stephen King. Five creepy tales are told in a very tongue-in-cheek manner by the grim reaper. Not to be taken too seriously but very disturbing nonetheless and perfect for this time of year. 4⭐️

#TeamCryptKeepers #ScarathlonTBWList I watched this last night 1982 movie from Stephen King. I actually enjoyed it. I've never seen it before. @StayCurious @Clwojick
A ghoulishly fun graphic novel adaptation of the Stephen King-penned Creepshow, this little number is bursting with prosaic and artistic style pulled straight from the pages of the '50s-era horror comics that inspired it. While these are not the most clever stories King has written, there are some standouts, including "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill", "Something to Tide You Over", and "They're Creeping Up On You". 4/5

I'm sorry I won't be joining the group read this time, but how could I not post a creepy playlist? I took some favorites from past Halloween playlists and added some new discoveries. I tried organizing by genre: classical, film scores, rock, hip hop, and electronic.
Happy Halloween all 🎃!

It was retro three decades ago, and it‘s barely aged a day; a ghoulishly good time when paired with its film counterpart.
Well look what I found! There's 3 episodes listed so I plan on a mini binge!

A nice break from an excellent, but heavier read (Dracula). Stories are good. Would recommend for quick, easy, creepy (it isn't called creepshow for nothing) read🎃

Scary Movie #2 “Creepshow.” I forgot what a creep-kabob Leslie Nielsen‘s character was in this.

First book of October done! My friends and I watched this movie a lot when we were teens. The graphic novel is just as creepy as the movie was, especially The Crate and They‘re Creeping Up On You. Those two parts of the movie gave me nightmares. Nice artwork, and great way to start my October reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Watched Creepshow with my wife tonight. It was really interesting to see Stephen King and Joe Hill stare in this movie. Now I just have one question for y'all - "Where's my CAKE?"

Great collection of classic style horror comics. 💀 I love all the cheesy puns throughout, and the 5 stories were a fun trip down memory lane since I vividly remember this movie from my childhood.
The Crate was my favorite. 👍

Two movies during a school week!?! Unheard of! This #Scarathon is really getting me out of my routine! I‘d forgotten about Stephen King playing Jordy in this. I‘m glad he didn‘t quit his day job! Yikes!!! 🤣🤣🤣 #TeamStoker

Welcome to the #LosersClub open discussion for #creepshow!
Please be mindful of spoilers. We have new readers to King who haven‘t read all of his books. When referencing his other work, please keep this in mind for our new-to-King friends. Don‘t forget to tag each other in the comments so your friends can see your reply. Have fun!
Nothing says #creep to me like Stephen Kings Creepshow. Showing my age again 🤪#anglophileapril
Participating a bit in #deweys24hourreadathon today and starting with this morbid beauty (and also for #LosersClub).
Ahh! I‘m late #losersclub, I‘m sorry! March is our first combo graphic novel and standard novel. Feel free to read both or skip whichever doesn‘t appeal. Grab your copies and check back April 18th for open discussion!

Hey #losersclub! Just a reminder that next month we have TWO books on the schedule: a graphic novel and the first book in The Dark Tower series! I‘ll do a separate discussion post for each, but both will be on the same day (unless I drop the ball again, because I suck 🤷🏻♀️ ). So, beg, borrow, or buy your copies and get ready to read these two next month!
Who is your favorite controversial author?
It‘s always been Stephen King for me. I don‘t agree with his use of racial and homophobic slurs or Native American imagery and folklore, but I can‘t help but love his books and his political commentary on twitter.
Who‘s yours? #gettoknowme
I've been trying hard not to succumb to a heavy book hangover after finishing The wheel of Time and I read those graphic novels.
Looks like quick, funny, scary stories are the best medicine 🤣
1. I like to alternate!
2. That‘s tough but I guess Lord of the Rings.
3. Physical books.
4. TEA!!
5. Stephen King
6. If you see this, consider yourself tagged 💜

Picked up a copy because it‘s freaking awesome!!!

Saw this on Facebook, Goodreads post, and HAD to share.....
Corny, gory fun! I remember watching the movie as a terribly unsupervised child, over and over. 😂
Amazing! LOVED the illustrations ❤️
Aaah!! I'm so excited to read this- one of my favorite movies to watching during Halloween time! 👻🎃🦇
#ScariestSceneFromMovie The Creepshow films had some of the scariest scenes I've seen. The room with the cockroaches and the monster in the crate used to give me nightmares. I still cringe when I watch those movies. #StephenKing17 @Josie @Gayan
Let's play a game:) :) you favorit???....please coment:)
Quoting on Litsy has no point. Garbage collection is more like it. I can make nonsense up about the contents of a book and then some poor shrub is either going to have edit or delete it before some unsuspecting noob believes the crap written about the book. Litsy = spam all the way. Buh bye.
