Littens! I need to finish some of these books that have had bookmarks in them for so long they are becoming part of the book. So #makemereadit this July. You vote and I‘ll read the top vote getters in order. Thanks to @TheReadingMermaid for running this again! (Book titles in the comments for ease of choosing.)

BookNAround Smoke by Dan Vyleta, Coco Chanel by Lisa Chaney, The Resurrection of Joan Ashby by Cherise Wolas, The Bottom of the Sky by Rodrigo Fresan, A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon, The Confessions of Young Nero by Margaret George, A Moveable Feast edited by Don George, Speaking of Summer by Kalisha Buckhanon, Breaking the Ocean by Annahid Dashtgard, Decorations in a Ruined Cemetery by John Gregory Brown, Ask Again Yes by Mary Beth Keane 👇🏻 (edited) 5y
BookNAround The Ventriloquists by E. R. Ramzipoor, Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton, The Flicker of Old Dreams by Susan Henderson 5y
SaturnDoo I haven't read any of them but I will vote for Ask Again, Yes because it's on my TBR 😊 5y

Laura317 Coco Chanel was good. That‘s what I‘d pick. 5y
jessinikkip Confessions of Young Nero. Interested in your thoughts on it 5y
Theaelizabet I have a soft spot for A Moveable Feast, despite Hemingway. 5y
HOTPock3tt A breath of Snow and Ashes was really good. It‘s a very emotional read... but I still finished it quite quickly because it was quite interesting. 5y
BookNAround @Theaelizabet This A Moveable Feast is actually a compilation of food essays rather than The Hemingway. 😁 5y
Theaelizabet @BookNAround Oh, well then. Likely even better!😀 5y
LibrarianRyan ventriloquists. 5y
Caterina The Confessions of Young Nero - I enjoyed Margaret George in my first couple years of college, and I know Helen of Troy was impressively well-researched! 👍 5y

Okay, friends—I‘ve pulled ten books from La TBR‘s print division and I want to play #MakeMeReadIt! If you‘d be so kind as to vote in the comments below, I‘ll put at least the top three books on my July Must-Reads list.

The second book down is FIFTH QUARTER by Tanya Huff, the Persephone is BRICKS AND MORTAR by Helen Ashton, and the bottom one is FREEDOM AND NECESSITY by Steven Brust and Emma Bull.

BookwormAHN I would choose Stargate. 5y
wanderinglynn Stargate! 5y

cobwebmoth I'm curious about Oryx and Crake, so I'd probably go with that one. 5y
Gezemice Oryx and Crake is very good. 5y
annahenke I loved Hild. Unconventional but excellent. 5y
Laughterhp Hmm I‘ve never read any of these. I think I‘ll vote for Fifth Quarter 5y
writerlibrarian Dorothy Sayers. 💜💜💜 5y
twohectobooks I‘m reading Hild right now and it‘s pretty dense but I think it‘ll end up being a pick. Oryx and Crake is good! Haven‘t read the others and not familiar with any of the authors really either. 5y
readordierachel Oryx and Crake gets my vote 5y
BookishTrish Oryx! 5y
teresareads Hild! 5y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk Freedom & Necessity ‘cause that‘s on my TBR too. 5y

Repost for @TheReadingMermaid :
The #MakeMeReadIt #Readathon is now open for November!!! I know it's a little early for Christmas but this is the Christmas Clear-Out Edition to make way for those books we will receive as presents.
Rules are simple: decide how many books you can read in a month and choose a couple extra. Then post a pic and have people vote on the order you will read them.
Everyone get your TBR Stacks together and start voting!!!!

BeansPage Thank you sweetness 😘🤗😘 6y

MoniqueReads305 I haven't read any but based on reviews and my own self interest I vote for 6y
DavidDiamond I‘ll Be Gone in the Dark if you are in the mood for some really frightening non-fiction that will have you checking the locks on your doors and windows multiple times during the night (good times!) or The Outsider if you are in the mood for some really disturbing, but well-crafted fiction. Both are page turners. 6y
LeahBergen The Kind Worth Killing is a really fast and fun read. It might be a good slump-buster! 6y
