In #January this was Perfect Days, a wonderful creepy read!

This was a quick, absorbing read! Creepy and twisted, but I did not feel as invested with the characters as I expected. Still an easy pick!

What in the world did I just read?! 😆 for fans of YOU, this is a trip to several locations in Brazil and within the mind of Teo. There‘s gore and all that jazz, but I read this as a commentary on the forces which shape women‘s lives. Maybe a stretch, but this felt like a satire on the ways society puts women in a box to make them behave. Also, some strange takes on several fairy tales. Just wow. An unforgettable reading experience!

Creme fraiche is the closest thing I have found to clotted cream. So I‘m living out my dream of a British tea with scones, jam and creme fraiche (and book). 🫖

This is bizarre ... and a good easy read , its a bit weird. ..

I don‘t know who are more scary - Téo or Joe from You (even their names are similar!?!?). Téo‘s “deficiencies” are more obvious than Joe‘s, as Teo is less charming. However, their delusions, coldness, and general craziness are neck by neck ?

A great, albeit disturbing, read, that really kept me awake on my drive to and from work.

Not sure I get all the fuss, really. Psycho med student kidnaps girl. Shenanigans ensue. It‘s light on the psychology and goes for the shocks, but it all seemed sort of unrealistic and not very menacing at all. Meh.

This is the lovestory Raphael Montes promised his mother 😱😱 Let‘s say it was a hell of a ride - literally.
Teo is a medical student, unbeknownst to human feelings. It‘s all ratio with him. So when he gets obsessed with Clarice, a girl he hardly knows, he just takes her with him, across #Brazil. He keeps defending what he‘s doing and it‘s creepy yet fantastic to be in his mind. The end was disappointing but I had a great time! #FoodAndLit 🇧🇷

This book was TWISTED with a capitol T!! If you thought Joe was unbalanced, wait until you meet Teo. He‘s hopelessly obsessed with Clarice. This book was a crazy trip through Rio de Janeiro #Brazil, from the streets of Leblon to the mountains of Teresópolis and down to the beaches of Ilha Grande. Lots of delicious food descriptions too; like ricotta crepes, mango shakes and Moquca de peixe (a Brazilian saltwater fish stew).??

My #FoodAndLit book is so good ( a little heavy on the raunchy side) with echoes of You and our friend, Joe.
So glad I chose the audio 🎧the narration is creepy but compulsive

Five years later and I still often think about this book and recommend it to those looking for a mindf*ck. Perfect for anyone who loves Caroline Kepnes' YOU, or the Netflix series of the same name.

Wow. Just...wow. Not since American Psycho have I been so disturbed by being inside the mind of a crazy person. I think this was maybe more disturbing. Very well written, very tense and emotional and disgusting...I highly recommend for horror/thriller/serial killer fans! (Also, I thought the cover was too cutesy, but now I‘ve read it, the cover is super ominous and creepy.)

Wow, what a book to kick off my July reading with. This book is beyond just creepy and weird, it‘s pretty fucked up. It‘s very uncomfortable and honestly sickening to read this story in the perspective of the psycho who rationalizes his fucked up behaviors. As many times as this book pissed me off I have to give credit to the author for eliciting that reaction from me.

This is a definite #BlameItOnLitsy read for me! It‘s my #Brazil pick for #ReadAroundTheWorld - and I first discovered this dark, dark book on here! You warned me... but I still didn‘t expect this!! Definitely a book that‘s going to linger.... though dedicated to the author‘s mother, I‘m not sure this was the love story she was looking for... Yikes!!!

I like to think when Teo kidnapped the girl of his dreams and embarked on a cross country road trip, this creepy song about lovesick obsession was playing on the radio.

#Brazil #aprella This disturbing book takes place in Brazil where a young man who is fixated on a woman abducts her and transports her everywhere while alive in a suitcase. I love how the in author notes he says, Yes I know a body folded fits in a suitcase. And also he says that his mom had asked him to write a love story and this was his answer to that. Yikes!!!

Of you wanna read about a creepy stalker psychopath with no hold on reality - get yourself ahold of this book! Teo is a twisted student who becomes obsessed with Clarice, and he will do whatever is needed to make her his. There were parts of this book that disgusted me to the point where I almost had to quit... But it sure is an interesting ride!

I was given this as a gift just because from my amazing friend. Completely out of nowhere, and definitely made my day. And brought me to tears. I‘m so thankful and grateful for my friends.

First book done for the #24in48 readathon! It was an interesting read. Definitely messed up at times but it kept me guessing. I did find that there were a few dull moments in the middle, but it was enjoyable nonetheless 👍

This book about a road trip gone wrong has me thinking about #cars this morning. I was disturbed enough by this story that I considered bailing halfway through but powered on. Creepy!

I outwardly reacted to this book so many times. I'm still having trouble accepting that I'm finished! Definitely recommend :).

I scored another bingo today in finishing Perfect Days. ✔️What a book. While I was entirely and thoroughly creeped out while reading I also couldn't put it down. So very confused as to how to rate this one 🤔

I just finished this book and I'm angry. How could it end like that??? Teo is a med student whose only friend is his anatomy lab corpse. He is a certifiable psychopath and becomes infatuated with Clarice, a free spirit he meets at a barbecue. In an effort to win her heart, he kidnaps her and takes her on a road trip. Trigger warnings for animal murder, kidnapping, physical abuse, rape, etc. Teo is a monster. I'm honestly disturbed by this book.

Great book by a young Brazilian author. I felt lots of influence of The Collector by Fowles which is an awesome book too!! If you wanna read a Latin author in a Brazilian setting, that's your chance. #Sha2016

It took me a while to get into this but I'm glad I finished it. Definitely a wierd one.

After last weeks drama, my mother in law has deteriorated badly in the last day. Thankfully she came back into the hospice last week and is getting fantastic care. She's in no pain and as comfortable as can be. Possibly only a couple of days left 💕Hopefully get some reading done through the night. Title isn't a great choice but loving the book so far ( thanks @LeahBergen ) ❤️

Perfect Days is a quality story. Well defined characters and unexpected surprises. Our main character is an absolute sociopath yet relatable. Am I crazy too?😳 Will definitely recommend this quick read! 👍🏻

I have some mixed feeling about this book. Over all it was going pretty good until the last couple of chapters. Then it turned a little hard to believe, things fell into place a little too conveniently and seemed a bit rushed. I can't say it was as intense as YOU but there were some intense moments, that's for sure!

I did have a chuckle at the note from the author!
