This is one of CRZ's lesser-known books, a YA novel about a group of teenagers about to age out of their orphanage. Set in Calcutta in the 1930s, Ben & Sheere are fighting against an evil that has waited sixteen years to exact on their family. I like that their friends have distinct personalities, but the story isn't bogged down with more info than we need for an effective story.. This had a little less of the beautiful prose I expect from CRZ, ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick but it was still a solid book that can be read alone despite being listed as the second book in the Niebla trilogy.
