I am getting some housework in before I head to the barn. Spicy got a Chiropractic adjustment yesterday. If she is not too Spicy, I plan to ride for a few minutes. The doctor said only for 5 minutes and at a walk only. So maybe two laps around the arena will be all I do. I'll probably have a late lunch with my barn friends.

I could sum this book up as an Indian Jones wanna be in a SciFi setting. I liked the idea but I thought the execution was all wrong. It felt like the characters rushed from one heist to the next with something always going wrong in between and yet it was too quickly resolved. I think less scenes and more time spent struggling to find a resolution would have worked better. I also thought some of the interactions between
pickThis is one of my favorites in the series. I love John Matthew and was so happy we finally got his and Xhex's story. Sometimes the subplots can over power the main plot but not this time. I also liked that we found out more about Xhex, Darius and Thorment. Still a lot of threads that I know we will follow as the series progresses. This was 5⭐️s for me. #BDB #BDBBuddyRead #BDBBookClub

pickThis is a low pick for me. While I liked the characters, the plot didn't work for me. I get that it is fiction; however, as I have often stated, I want it to be at least a little bit believable. This story started out on a limb then just went on to be ridiculous. 3⭐️

pickThis one was a mixed bag for me. While there were some bits and pieces I liked about it, I messed the humor. Not surprising since Pratchett didn't write this one. Still if you like the Discworld series you will like this one too. 3.5⭐️

pickI read this book for #LittensLoveRomance hosted by @StayCurious. Total fluff and the definition of a beach read. I liked the characters, especially the FMC, Evie. The plot was good. I felt the ending was a bit rushed.
