I can‘t tell you how excited I am that a) Bookshop.Org is doing so well and b) that they will be offering e-books. This company not only provides an alternative to Amazon, it provides a portion of the profits to independent bookstores.

VT has started an Independent Bookstore Passport tour. I love how many independent bookstores can survive here. There are several that aren‘t even listed on the tour. After going to 3 stores I realize why they are giving us a year to complete the journey. I am incapable of going in a store without buying a book. I‘d never be able to afford this if I had to finish any sooner. For scale, the stores at the bottom are 3 hours away from me, one way.
Bookshops 📚with ladders 🪜❤️ beautiful 😍 toppings in Bath Uk 🇬🇧 if you ever get the chance to visit you‘ll be in heaven 📚😍
This is the second new bookshop near to us that has opened in the last 6 months - so happy to see bookshops revived and breathing life back into the high street 🙏
Just a note - this may already be floating around Litsy since I haven't been on much this week - but bookshop.org has free shipping through today!! Their shipping costs actually do keep me from purchasing from them sometimes, so today is a great time to stock up!! 😁
Every time I come to Bridport I think about how much I love the name of this place 2nd hand bookshop 🥰
I know I‘ve got book shaped gifts under the tree and some lovely bookish gifts for fabulous Littens. But does anyone else start to feel anxious when the bookshop is about to close for 4 or 5 days straight!
I moved my bookshop lego set upstairs to the ‘office‘ and I‘m putting all my bookshop books with it. I‘ve got some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket 🤣 what is your favourite book about bookshops/books/libraries? I‘d like to add to my collection
This was my last lockdown project, finished a while ago, but forgot to post. It was so relaxing to do with an audiobook, and such a beautiful finished object. It now lives in my office, and is lovely to look at while I work. And you can lift off the different layers to look into the rooms.
Got these two beauties today while running errands; I almost got Klara and the Sun but decided that wasn‘t for me right now and will save it for another week. I started reading The Bone Shard Daughter and honestly it‘s way better than what I thought, and of course I had to snag the second to last copy of The Inheritance Games! I‘m happy with my weekends reads ☺️ #tbr #currentreads #bookstoreperusing
My small haul from the bookshop we went to yesterday; my total was only $25! I scored a fun murdery Victorian novel, a cute YA novel about a girl joining her local quidditch team (how cute!) and a #botm about a pop artist and basically her ride and fall, which seemed super relevant to me with the #freeBritney movement. I‘m about to start This is How We Fly since my heart is broken after The Four Winds 📖
Out driving around and we just happen to find a used bookstore the next town over with a game shop across the road? This was a win win for us today☺️📖🎮
Acqua Alta is not just a bookshop: it is a postcard shop: it is a community of cats: it is a store with boats and baths full of magazines and books; it is a place where you can converse with friendly Venetians who come daily to meet tourists; it is in the end, above all - a tourist attraction.
The bookshop as a partially deconsecrated church transformed into a sex shop. Because a bookshop feeds on the energy generated by objects that seduce by virtue of their accumulation, by the difficulty of defining demand, which becomes palpable when one finally locates the object that arouses, demands an urgent purchase and a possible subsequent reading...
Well nothing replaces a good browse at an Indie - but welcome news that Bookshop is coming to the U.K. this year ... yeah for Indies!
#EastCityBookshop here in DC did a summer reading challenge bingo card, which I finished. It definitely helped me expand my summer and quarantine book choices.
My socks from libro.fm came!
This looks cool! The box is a 3-month limited book subscription for allies (and those who seek to be allies). Each box comes with two books, curated resources, and suggested action steps. Your subscription also includes access to an online learning collaborative to further your racial education. And the shop is Black woman-owned! https://www.fultonstreet918.com/new-products/ally-box
If you‘re looking to buy books, consider buying from one of these shops! (Image from Avid Reader Press on IG)

We could all have a stake in this and be co-owners! 📚 📖
Earlier today voraciously admiring my books at B & N :) Happy New Year again :) xoxo
Fires, cosy chairs, amazing wall illustrations, Tintin wallpaper, great book selection and very friendly staff - a perfect hour spent in the perfect bookshop (in Bath, England).
Finished my few days up in Norwich at Chapters Cafe- nestled inside a bookshop inside a department store!
Reposted for @ljuliel for the daily discussion prompt.

I came across this lovely bookshop on my trip to London today - isn‘t this a beautiful sight to behold! 😊
Book haul! 😍 All these for a fiver👍🏻
@Birdsong28 I got Second Life so hoping it's good😊
I don‘t usually take photos in the restroom, but this Bookshop bathroom was enchanting - and not what I expected!
Bottom line says donations accepted.

This little bookshop downtown is SO cute! It's majority kids-teens books and has a lot of adorable gifts and clothes. Got the baby a onesie that says "Ask me about rocket science!" I didn't get any actual books (as I got a huge library haul today) but grabbed a schedule and will be back ?
Was so excited to check out this book shop in New Orleans, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed. It was a bit all over the place; not very organized. But maybe it was just the heat getting to me because damn, it‘s hot here.
My local bookstore has just opened a second branch - it‘s beautiful and is stocking only books written by women and non binary writers. Worth a visit if you‘re in the London
I‘m so excited! I‘m sure you can all relate - I‘ve got a (e0 voucher to spend at Waterstones and I‘m going this lunchtime!
I‘ve been waiting until after the #ssgp swap so I didn‘t mess anything up, and I have to say that everyone‘s top 6 isn‘t helping my excitement, or my decision making!
I‘ve tagged some of the books I‘m thinking of below, and hoping that a few may be on offer....
What else do you recommend?!
It‘s definitely not ‘flaming June‘! It‘s cold and damp and darker than it was,in November! Consoling myself with a browse around the book market - conveniently located under a bridge, to keep me (and the books!) dry!
If you‘re ever in Vienna make sure to stop by at Cafe Phil - Café and bookshop in one, absolute lovely collection of books, also english ones. I just love it here?
I discovered this little gem of a bookstore within walking distance of my job today.
