Daisey Once you‘ve shelved a book in Goodreads, you should be able to if accessing on a computer. I can add private notes by clicking “Edit my activity” from the book‘s page after it‘s shelved or from the My Books page if notes are check marked to be visible. 3w

OK, I got a little carried away in the stuff my Kindle events… Cause this isn‘t even a quarter of the books I grabbed this year, and that‘s after deleting so many making this list. So my goal is to clean up my Kindle. Truth is, I am expecting a lot of DNF‘s in this list. But we never know until we try… So here we go, not in order, my #Roll100 for 2025. And yes, I know early, just trying to be on time rather than late this year.

My sister offered to buy me a book at B & N today since she won‘t get to come visit for my birthday next month. I also took the liberty of taking tons of pictures of books to add to my TBR pile… I‘m gonna see if I can find some of these at the library or on my Kindle, once I make a dent in the pile I already have lol

RamsFan1963 Rabbits is an amazing book, I loved it!! I have The Starless Crown, and the sequel, on my TBR shelves but I haven't got around to reading it yet. 8mo

Over the past few years I‘ve been complaining to friends about the fact that I keep getting library books & ignoring my own sitting on the shelves. Last week I created an Excel sheet to provide a visual. Of the 31 books I‘ve read this year, 29 were from the library and 2 were handed to me by friends to read. Seeing the proof in print was a shocker. Now I‘m seriously clamping down on library books. My shelves would be so happy with 31 fewer books.

Normally I keep a list of books I‘ve read for the year, I wasn‘t really keeping track this year but I just wrote this up. I normally set goals & try to surpass the previous year‘s goal, but this year I decided not to take it so seriously. There‘s been too much going on. I just wanted to read as much as I was able. I read 25 last year, & so far I‘ve read 15 this year. Definitely slower but better than I expected. Making a dent in the TBR pile lol.

I spent what some people in my house deem an unreasonable amount of time getting my stack for #14books14weeks2021. I‘ve pulled a mix of books I‘m really excited for, a few I‘m disappointed I haven‘t gotten around to picking up yet & a handful from my Sweet Reads box from last year that I still haven‘t read.

Avanders Funny, you have once of each, above 😁 For what it‘s worth, I read and enjoyed the Caine one — it‘s a slightly more meaty YA series set around this concept of books as both vice and as priceless collectibles (but, *not* everyday home-items). I have read… 2 of the series I think. I started before it was done, so I‘ve been sidetracked 😜 I‘d say it‘s definitely good, and fun. But a “must read”? Maybe not… I gave it a solid 4 ⭐️ I think :) 4y

My library does this cool thing where they offer educators (including homeschoolers like me) first crack at the weeded books. I just happened to be there this morning and got first dibs! I went through about half before giving up and bringing the kiddo home, but got most of a box (no idea where they‘ll fit). Better pics to come. Nice way to start a Monday!

Funny thing I actually spend more on new books because of my extensive thrifted books - it‘s seems only right to support new books and Bookstores, as well. I also donate or give away more of my books because I‘m not the original owner of every book I own. 4y

I‘m having one of those days where my depression is obsessed with the fact that there will always be more books that I want to read than I have time to read. I‘m a little weepy and doomscrolling libby.

(Preeeetty sure this is my brain‘s way of handling election anxiety...oh god I just need it to be over already)

Anyways, I might bump my GR goal to 250?? That would essentially mean a book a day for the rest of the year...

LiteraryinPA I totally hear you with spiraling thoughts. Probably election related (and just 2020 related) even though the thoughts themselves are not about the election. Hang in there! I have found that there is a sweet spot with my reading. If I go for too much quantity, I lose some of the quality because I'm just looking to finish books. Even if we somehow had time to read all the books, we couldn't possibly enjoy them. Read what you can? 4y

MicheleinPhilly @TrishB The best part is when this whole thing started I just kept buying gift cards to help them stay in business. Now when I go I pay for the books and tell them I‘ll use the cards when things go “back to normal.” So I have a built in excuse. 😂 5y

squirrelbrain I‘ve ‘acquired‘ 33 books this year so far, some e-books, some #netgalley ARCs and some physical books. As I had Christmas money to spend I have only actually spent Qb on those 33 books! ? 5y

Hooked_on_books I used to do this. But then I stopped all the emails about what books were cheap. Now I sometimes miss deals, but it‘s cut waaayyy back on my ebook buying. 5y

Yikes. This result is...not great. Working on my TBR this year is my biggest priority. I hope I can make a decent dent in the piles, ideally I‘d like to get it down by half. That‘s probably hoping for too much, but if I can chip away a little every week and keep reading what I own, maybe it‘s a possibility?

BookNAround Last time I checked mine, a couple of years ago (and of course I‘ve added more books to the stacks since then), it told me I‘d be in my 80s before I finished what I already had. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5y
